Emmanuel is the man! Ask for him for this tour and you won’t be disappointed. His passion is as genuine as it is contagious, and you will learn a ton along the way and have the most interesting discussions about the animals and the ecosystem they inhabit. He is a native to the area and made the hike incredibly enjoyable and thought provoking!

Our tour operator gave me the location to meet and no showed. I messaged him repeatedly and got no response from him. I’m very disappointed with this experience as my refund request was denied without an explanation. Terrible customer service and terrible experience.

Emanuel was our guide for the Arenal Volcano Tour and we truly felt we were hiking along with a very knowledgeable friend. Emanuel was so enthusiastic about sharing his playground with us, and was eager to answer all our questions. The trails are marked and a map is provided but we all agreed that we wouldn't have seen a large portion of the wildlife or even really appreciated the plant life without a guide. Especially one as committed and passionate as Emanuel. At the end of our tour, he surprised us with one of the best pineapples I've ever had. He recommended a great soda that we hit up for lunch and we loved it so much, we went back for breakfast there next day. Definitely recommend! ¡Gracias por todo Emanuel! ¡Pura vida!

Highlight of my trip!

Oh my gosh, this was the HIGHLIGHT of my trip! I visited Costa Rica as a solo traveler for a week this past November, and had a full itinerary of everything I wanted to do. This list, obviously, included a visit to Arenal Volcano, but I didn't know exactly what I needed to do to make sure I got the full experience. Thankfully, the night before I made the 3-hour drive to Fortuna, I came across this Viator offer for a hiking tour. I speedily reserved my spot, and headed out the next morning, not knowing exactly what to expect. Well, let's be honest — this was likely the highlight of my entire trip! I met my tour guide, Eduardo, in the city center, and we took off in my car with some snacks in tow. He was fluent in Spanish and I was fluent in English, so we ended up speaking Spanglish the majority of our time together, which turned into nearly 6 hours all in all. On the way to Arenal, he asked me to pull over so we could see a sloth in a tree just off the highway. The only sloth I saw my entire trip, and what a memorable start to a great journey! Next, we drove on to Arenal, and ate some fresh fruit (pineapple and mango) before making the hike up. The hike was AMAZING, super beautiful, and even some drizzle didn't stop us from fully enjoying the experience. It was so nice and refreshing to have thoughtful, in-depth conversations with Eduardo about the tourism industry, his kids, and the state of the world throughout our journey, and he was someone I would definitely hang out with again. After our hike, we went to the hot springs to check them out, then drank some beers and watched the sunset. This is a definite must for any and all travelers, let alone cool solo travelers like yours truly lol :) Many thanks to Eduardo and Emmanuel for making this such a memorable experience!

Eduardo is an exceptional guide who not only shared his extensive knowledge of the region's flora and fauna but also offered fascinating insights into his own life experiences growing up there. Our hike to Mirador El Silencio was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. Eduardo expertly spotted wildlife and even assisted us in capturing some fantastic photographs with his telescope. We were treated to breathtaking views of the Arenal Volcano and the lake. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable experience Emmanuel, the tour operator, was very helpful, responsive and answered my questions patiently

Estuvimos en comunicación desde el principio, pero este día del tour, nos retrasamos y llegamos al punto de encuentro 28 min tarde. En ningún momento nos dijo que si no llegábamos en 15 min, el tour se cancelaba. Solo nos dijo que había tomado otro tour porque no nos habíamos presentado y luego nos dejo de contestar. Totalmente irresponsable. Me eliminó de WhastApp y nunca contestó mis llamadas. No tomen este tour con él ni lo recomienden Saludos
