We had an excellent time with Mario as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and I was constantly amazed by his ability to spot wildlife. He would find the smallest iguana hidden behind a branch from 15 feet away—things we never would have noticed on our own.
The tour through Mistico Hanging Bridges and La Fortuna Waterfall was fantastic, offering both beautiful scenery and a great experience overall. To top it off, we enjoyed an amazing meal at the ranch afterward, which was the perfect way to end the day.
Overall, it was a wonderful way to spend a day in Costa Rica, and we highly recommend this tour.

Mau, our tour guide and Miner our driver were outstanding. On time, very knowledgeable about everything we were seeing and doing. It rained the whole time yet didn’t both us (or them) a bit. We saw many animals and even stopped roadside to catch a sloth in action. The highlight of the trip was actually the lunch portion at the family ranch. Everything was warm, welcome and delicious. We had a group of 10 from age 5 to 75. All was perfect.

What a fantastic tour! Issac was an excellent knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. The Mystico Hanging Bridges were an awesome introduction to the rain forest eco system. Issac had great eye for the wildlife and vegetation with awesome magnifying lens for close ups. The La Fortuna Falls were greatness given all the rain (but no swimming). A locally prepared lunch by the Rainforest Explorers team was the perfect ending!

If I could leave a hundred stars for this amazing, local, family-owned operation I totally would. Booking and confirmation was so easy with Ileana. Mario, Carlos, and Jaime took great care of our family during our tour through Mistico Hanging Bridges and La Fortuna waterfall. We did not book a private tour, but because our group was large enough they gave us one anyway. My mom has some mobility concerns and they were so very kind and patient with our group to ensure everyone had a fantastic experience. Mario was incredibly knowledgeable of the various wildlife in the tour. We saw two breeds of monkeys, three different breeds of frogs (including the transparent glass frog), the eyelash viper, tiny honey bees, various ant species, toucans, and a baby owl and her mama. Carlos walked behind with my mom to make sure she was comfortable and didn’t miss anything. Jaime ended our tour with a delicious fruit snack.
We then had an amazing traditional Casados lunch at their family farm, where we saw amazing birds and met their family.
The waterfall tour was equally as exciting and fun for my family. We loved everything so much we booked an unplanned Sloth tour with them tomorrow! The care and effort they take to ensure their customers and guests feel welcomed, educated, and happy went above and beyond.
Cannot recommend this amazing family and service enough!

The combination of the 2 adventures together was a good match. We found the hanging bridges with the guide Mau, from Rainforest Explorers, was extremely informative with animals/birds, eco system of the forest and history of the surrounding area. The falls gave us a chance to cool off and at the same time its beauty was breath taking. What an experience! To be taken to the Rainforest Explorers location to have a traditional lunch (from plantation to table) was a bonus! Our guide Mau took the time to make us feel welcomed in his country and provided us with his pictures he took on our tour. Jamie, the driver, was awesome as well. Yuliana, Viator Tour Operator, responded quickly to our need of an unexpected new pick up location, due to a hotel change. Yuliana made us feel we were in good hands from the start.

Mauricio at Rainforest Explorers was so knowledgeable and helpful. He sent us beautiful photos from our walk and pointed out interesting insects and animals throughout. The lunch afterwards was outstanding. 10/10 experience

What an amazing and spectacular experience! This is the epitome of Costa Rica! The flora and fauna were truly seen at their best in this tour! The guide was knowledgeable and made sure our group saw and did everything. He also took some amazing photos that he shared with the group (my pics were certainly not as good!). The lunch was incredible! This may have been the highlight of the trip!!

Both the hanging bridge and waterfall were amazing. Our tour guide Pedro was really good. Lunch was included but would have preferred to either skip it or be something else as the location was 20 minutes the opposite direction

We absolutely loved our tour with Mauricio. He is so passionate about wildlife and conservation. He was incredibly knowledgeable and so patient with our kids. Without his expertise we would not have seen the amount of animals we were able to find. He was the best guide of our trip, we would love more adventures with him. The lunch was amazing, home cooked over fire with traditional Costa Rican food. Our kids say it was the best food of the trip. We absolutely loved this tour.

Highly recommend! This was an phenomenal experience! Mario was our guide and was very knowledgeable and so kind and friendly. We really enjoyed our time and the day. It was raining quite a bit and that did not stop us from enjoying the day and making the most out of it. Mario was able to show us some animals in the trees that we wouldn’t have seen without him. He is so knowledgeable about every plant in the rainforest, it was incredible! We then got to experience a traditional Costa Rican lunch at their private restaurant which was also incredible! Really great experience, cannot recommend Mario enough.

Overall very good but felt rushed. Would have liked to look for more nature and more pics. The tour only included my son and I. Not sure what they would have done if someone couldn’t keep up.

Isaac was a wonderful guide! He was super nice and answered all our questions. We went with a 6 and 8 year old, they had a good time, but were pretty tired by the end so I am glad we did just the 2 excursions. The waterfall was their favorite part, they didn’t mind the steps at all. Lunch was great they made a more kid friendly plate for the kids, and they loved the ice cream.

Great way to see beautiful Costa Rica! Knowledgeable guide was awesome to point out animals/ birds/ plants/ trees, etc. Hanging bridges were so cool. Stunning waterfall and the private lunch was a great way to end the excursion!

Everything was great. The tour was fantastic, Francisco was great at showing the animals with the telescope and taking great pictures with it. He also gave lots of great information about every animal we saw. The lunch was also delicious!

Pepe and Francisco were fantasitc. Pepe took the time to pointnout and photographbrhe wildlife we encountered during our day with him including small vipers, birds, frogs and even a mother and baby sloth. The lunch provided was amazing

Marvin was an excellent guide. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things living. He patiently answered ALL of our questions. The tour was perfect with hike, swim, and the lunch. The lunch was beyond amazing.

Wonderful experience! I liked that it wasn't 9-10 hours like the other tours. It was a perfect amount. Fran did an amazing job helping us find wildlife and he was very knowledgeable in the birds, animals, and plants, and history. Unfortunately, we couldn't swim due to the high risk-it looked pretty dangerous! The only thing I am sad about is that I didn't see any sloths or monkeys-- but I have seen monkeys in Tamarindo but I never got to see sloths on my trip in CR! oh well-- next time!

Oscar was great! The bridges were amazing- even got to see monkeys! And LaForruna waterfall was spectacular! And the lunch we had was the best cosado we had in our entire trip - even for vegetarians!
