Our guide Sergio was wonderful! So knowledgeable and funny! Perfect excursion to do so much in one day. We started by hiking to the Fortuna waterfall. Then we hiked up to lava rocks for a spectacular view of the Arenal volcano. Then it was lunch time followed by the hanging bridges and then relaxing in hot springs. Great way to spend a day!

I had such a great time on this day trip! I was floored by the amount of wildlife we saw, the lush jungle views, and the easy conversation with others on the tour. Everything was well-timed with gentle reminders and adequate breaks. Finishing the day with the natural hot springs was a perfect touch! I highly recommend booking this!

Rain forest delight.

Beautiful rainforest scenery at all 3 locations. Knowledgeable guides make every effort to locate birds/animals. Doing all 3 is a bit of a challenge as put in over 17,500 steps, most of them up hill. But I am glad I did it. I’m 78 years old.

Full Day adventure with Wildlife!

We had an amazing full day adventure with Sergio and Johnny! We saw so many animals and wildlife (monkeys, snakes, birds, bugs)! Lots of hiking but worth it! The food was great and it was fun!

Sergio was an amazing guide and truly made this tour unforgettable. The La Fortuna waterfall swim, volcano hike, and hanging bridges were all incredible experiences, and ending the day relaxing in a natural hot spring river was the perfect cherry on top. I told Sergio that anyone can book a tour, but it’s the guide who really makes the difference—and Sergio absolutely did. He took his time with our group and went above and beyond to point out wildlife along the way, including frogs, a snake, a sloth, and many other animals we would have easily missed on our own. He was knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about what he does. This tour is an absolute must if you are visiting the Arenal Volcano area. Highly recommended!

Long day for younger kids...

Long day for younger kids with lots of walking, wish we had only done the waterfall and volcano walk. The hot springs at the end is very disappointing. Just a small creek on the side of the road of one of the main roads. Get to the bottom, it’s dirty, busy and no room to dry off, and inconvenient to put ur shoes on. That aside, we had a great guide for the volcano that helped us see a sloth and a toucan. Very informative and patient with the kids!

Noland and André's 10hr tour

Noland was very informative and kept us entertained. He took us to the waterfall and to the base of the volcano. André took us on the tour of the hanging bridges where he was able to spot a yellow eyelash viper and a Rufus mutmut which were very cool to see. The 10-hour tour was well worth the money and very fun.

A full on long day but worth every step! A second set of swim gear is helpful because getting into wet gear for the hot springs is a struggle, also water shoes are a must!

It was a long day BUT it gave us an excellent sampling of La Fortuna. We met the group at the starting point of 8am and waited till about 8:30am for the tour to begin. Others were being picked up. I suggest being picked up for convenience. Fortunately, our place was less than 10 mins drive away. The guides were amazing at all the tours. My family enjoyed their full day which ended at the hot springs. (wear water shoes since it’s rocky)

Sergio and issac were absolutely amazing guides. They made the whole experience fun, safe, and unforgettable from start to finish. Their energy, knowledge, and sense of humor made everything even better. They kept the group engaged the entire time and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Also, quick heads up: when they say “5 minutes,” it’s kind of a running joke. It might be a little longer than that, but that just means you get more time to enjoy everything. Nothing ever felt rushed and they made sure we got the most out of the experience. If you’re thinking about doing this tour, definitely ask for Sergio and issac. They’re friendly, professional, and go above and beyond to make sure everyone has an amazing time. Highly recommend this experience and especially these two guides.

I would say u need to be in relatively good shape for all 3 of these excursions for 1 day. They are all short but a lot of steps to the waterfall. But what an Epic day of adventure!

The Best Highlights of La Fortuna!!!

I did several tours during my trip through Costa Rica, and this all inclusive day tour of La Fortuna was hands down the BEST one of my trip! It was a jam packed day, but boy was it packed full of adventure! This tour was filled with all of the best highlights of Fortuna! The short hike to La Fortuna Falls was definitely a heart pumper with all of the stairs, but absolutely worth it in the end. The falls were beautiful and flourishing. We did get a little time to get in if we wanted to, but I skipped it since I wanted to be sure that I made it back to the bus on time. After Fortuna Falls, we hiked to the top of Arenal Volcano! This hike definitely let me know that I was out of shape. However, Johnny was EXCELLENT in pointing out beautiful birds and unique plants and trees during our hike here. He also educated us some neat rocks and elements before we started. We were lucky to be able to see a small portion of the volcano, but it was super cloudy. The lunch was actually really tasty and filling. I had the tilapia with rice, beans, and salad and also enjoyed the iced tea. Next, we visited Mistico Park where we crossed over several hanging bridges and where Johnny spotted a ton of animals with his naked eye! Honestly, we wouldn’t have seen all of these animals without his help. We saw, monkeys, lizards, and all sorts of birds. The hanging bridges were unique. My favorite part of the trip was ending it at the natural hot springs. It was dark and the little trail seemed gnarly at first, but then it revealed the most stunning natural hot springs! I wish I could have taken pictures, be we were advised to not take our phones. The water felt amazing! It was a long day trio and I was exhausted afterward, but I would 100% do it again! Johnny was stellar! You will be so lucky if you get him as your tour guide! Exceptional tour all around!

A Ten Hour Tour

The whole experience was absolutely amazing! Guides were great and the whole thing was very organized so Type A ppl would feel relaxed. For the volcano, there are two trails: I chose the harder one and it was hard but so worth it and such an accomplishment. You take small breaks (few mins) during which the guide educates you. The waterfall was so beautiful. Hanging bridges gave you amazing views. And the hot spring we went to, was a perfect little spot that had sand and smooth rock you could mold to your body and relax in lol. Ending the trip with the hot spring is also such a good idea.

This was a good experience! Most of the time when I book a group tour like this, I feel rushed because you’re on a schedule. But Abel and Sergio made sure we had plenty of time to take in the nature. The hanging bridges were nice to see, but made the day feel a little longer. Ending the day at the hot springs was also very pleasant even though it got dark quick. Would recommend if you’re into adventures!

My kids had an absolute blast!!! a full day packed with adventures! 🏞️ Be sure to bring good walking shoes and water shoes because you’ll use them both. It was four separate tours with a lot of busing back and forth. We skipped the last part going to the hot springs. More time on the bus than the hot springs.

It rained so so much. Did you know that it rains in rainforest? Maybe. But do yourself a favor and pack a poncho. Just cause it's sunny now doesn't mean that it isn't going to be pouring in 20 minutes. Hiked up the volcano (you will get muddy - it rains) and because of the rain/mist did not see the volcano at the top, just mist and clouds). Still, we had a great time and really enjoyed it. I'd do it again in the rain. The hanging bridges were okay. Felt a little artifical, but otherwise nice. Waterfall swim in the AM was good. A lot of steps, but worth it. Go swimming in the waterfall pool. It's cold but we really enjoyed that. Finished with the Hot springs. Very different. Never been in a hot river. Liked that a lot.

This was an amazing experience from the start to finish. Our tour guides were superb - Sergio was very friendly and kept us entertained with his jokes, and Johnny shared a lot of interesting facts about plants/animals/landscape. All the places we visited were worth it.

A must-do in La Fortuna!

We had a blast on this full day tour! Everything felt well planned out with plenty of time to pura vida without feeling rushed. We started with the waterfall, which was super refreshing and I personally didn't think the steps were too difficult (I highly recommend water shoes if you plan to go in). Next was the volcano hike which was a bit intermediate in my opinion, especially if you’re not used to elevation but I very much enjoyed the challenge and the view at the end was stunning. The lunch was delicious and we got to admire a sloth with her baby in a tree nearby. The suspension bridges were a fun treat but my favorite part might have been the hot springs at the end because they were actually natural like a river, without any manmade structures and there were many locals there enjoying their daily life. Our guide, Sergio was incredible - so knowledgeable about the land/history, and was an expert at spotting wildlife! Highly recommend this experience!!
