The tour was absolutely amazing. Our guide Jonathon and the other guides were top notch. If you have never repelled before they make you feel very comfortable and safe. I would recommend this to anyone, young or old, experienced or not. Definitely the highlight for the whole family during our stay at La Fortuna.

This is a must do and is worth every penny! My husband and I went with two of our friends and we all loved it! The operation is run so smoothly and we felt 100% safe! We purchased the picture/video package and they captured some amazing shots for us! The monkey drop was my favorite - what a rush - I wanted to do it again! We will repeat this same excursion if we come back! If you’re thinking about booking this - stop thinking and just book it! You won’t be disappointed!

Great experience! Will was informative, helpful and fun. Saw a troop of monkeys on the hanging bridges, the full volcano and enjoyed taking a dip in the waterfall. It was the perfect combination of things to do. Food was delicious.

Very safe! Guides were very good. Even if you just let your hands slide, they basically control you. Unexpected what the monkey drop was and then option to run off the platform on one, was scary but awesome!

This was so much fun! More active than a quick zip line. They picked us up at our hotel and brought us to the repels. The guides were all friendly and a lot of fun. I am recommending this to everyone!

This rappeling and canyoning excursion was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. If you’re hesitating with questions like “Am I too old?” “Am I fit enough?” or “Is it safe?” Let me save you some mental gymnastics.
You’re not too old (or too young). If you can climb 3–4 flights of stairs, you’re good. Will you feel a little winded at times? Sure. But it’s completely doable, and the guides make it feel approachable from the start.
Safety-wise: totally safe. The guides are consummate professionals; calm, clear, and attentive. They keep you secure at all times, explain everything, and check-in at each stop.
And they’re also genuinely funny, which keeps the whole experience lighthearted and stress-free even when your adrenaline is doing cartwheels.
We did four rappels plus the Monkey Drop, which was more fun than I can possibly explain. If you want an adrenaline rush with expert guidance and big “I can’t believe I did that!” energy, this is the excursion.
If you’re even considering it for a second -- just do it. You’ll probably regret not trying.

So much fun! Our tour guide Allen was awesome and made the experience even that much better. If you are scared of heights this might not be the best adventure for you. If are an adrenaline junky like us and love beauty you will love it! I would defiantly do it again.

If there is one excursion you should do, this should be it. I suggest wearing a hiking SANDAL as opposed to a hiking boot because you will be soaked. A water shoe isn't durable enough for the bottom of your foot for the hike to the waterfalls as you are repelling down on the rocks but a boot will get soaked (like mine did) when you are submerged in water during the monkey drop. Great tour, good food, and excellent guides.

We did white water rafting and a chocolate tour that both ranked higher to our family of 5 (kids 14, 12, 9). For the money, it was short and felt a bit rushed. Was it fun, yes. But we would have rather spent the money on other adventures.

AMAZING experience. 10/10 would do it again. The guides made us all feel safe and it was such a unique experience. Not for the faint of heart as the first waterfall is high !!! But I loved every minute and wished it lasted longer !

It was raining and chilly the day we went. We were worried about whether or not we’d be able to really enjoy the experience in that kind of weather but we had so much fun that it didn’t matter. It was a really exciting and thrilling activity. You’re gonna get super wet and there’s a 20 minute drive back to headquarters so remember to bring an extra pair of clothes! There’s bathrooms where you can change before getting back on the bus.

This was a highlight of our trip. The guides were professional and experienced. We were there on a very busy day and they got us through like a well oiled machine without feeling rushed. The scenery was beautiful. Experiencing the rainforest along with the fun of rappelling down a variety of waterfalls and drops was amazing. Don’t let fear of heights stop you - several in the group were hesitant for this reason but found the experience not nearly as intimidating as they thought it might be. The youngest person in our group was 6 and managed all 5 descents. The monkey drop has the option not to participate, but we found ourselves up the ladder with no point of return before we realized it. However it was thoroughly enjoyable for all of us. The uphill hikes between two waterfalls and at the end were a little tiring for someone not quite in shape but there was plenty of time to take a breather and then carry on. Biggest tip - keep your hands in the correct places on the rope - a few individuals forgot this and their hands got a little pinched on the managed ‘free fall jump’ at the end.
Our family enjoyed it so much we wished we could turn around and immediately do it again!
