What a wonderful experience! Our guide, Isaac, and driver, Edgardo, were both very professional and so knowledgeable. Isaac’s ability to spot wildlife was incredible! We saw so much more than we could have seen without his expertise. The lunch provided was an experience in itself! The traditional Costa Rican cuisine and was delicious. Even our hard to please teenagers were impressed. I highly recommend Rainforest Explorers!

Fran, Anita and Jorge were wonderful guides. They were polite, knowledgeable and easily able to communicate in Spanish and English. They offered fascinating insights into natural history, biology and Costa Rican history. The lunch served was incredible and the pace of the day's events were very manageable. It was a wonderful experience which we'll highly recommend to friends and family. Muchas gracias y pora vida!
What an amazing tour! It was a full day of hiking so be prepared but it is worth it! We had 3 kids ages 5, 10, and 11 and the guide was amazing with them! We started our day at Mistico bridges and there is no way we would’ve seen 20% of the animals without Isaac, our guide. He would find something and set up his scope and show us. He was so accommodating to our kids and answered every question a kid could have. We then went to La Fortuna waterfall, which was gorgeous. Then to their HQ for lunch that was prepared by the family there. It was SO good! After lunch, and coffee, we went to the volcano trails. There we hiked up and learned all about the volcano. Definitely book this tour with this company if you want to do these 3 things. It was such a fun day!

Nice combination experience for a full day in Arenal. Tour guide was great and the lunch was fantastic . It rained during the hanging bridges but added to the rainforest effect !
We thoroughly enjoyed our combination tour of hanging bridges, Aernal Volcano and the waterfall. Edgar and Francisco were incredible. It was very clear they wanted us to have the best experience. I was a bit worried the tour would be too long for our kids but they were engaged the entire time. The breaks between activities with food recharged everyone’s batteries for the next tour. The pick up was so convenient. This was our favorite day of the trip.

This was a wonderful all day tour! Francisco was so nice, knowledgeable and did a great job with everyone and all the activities. The three activities were unique and fun. The lunch at the rancho was delicious. Highly recommend this tour!
This was a great combination of tours. The rainforest with the hanging bridges was awesome. Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. We would look through the scope at some creatures and he would take pictures through the scope for us with our phones. The volcano hike was challenging with the path being lava rock at an incline. If you're looking for more of a flat hike, this would not be for you. This also included the history of Arenal Volcano. Even though the waterfall was 500 steps down, it wasn't a problem coming back up as there are benches to rest on the way up if you need them.
This package was a fun-filled day with so much to offer. Oscar, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about everything. Without him, spotting wildlife would have been nearly impossible. He kept the experience fun, even in the pouring rain. Make sure to bring a poncho and bug spray! The waterfall was absolutely stunning and definitely worth the visit. Don't miss out on swimming next to the waterfall—it's a must-do! The lunch provided was not only beautifully presented but also a delicious taste of authentic Costa Rican cuisine. During lunch, we were treated to a close-up view of a sloth, which was hanging out low in a tree—no binoculars needed! Our final stop was a short hike around the Arenal volcano, offering breathtaking views at the top.
Kenneth and Oscar were super friendly, fantastic tour guides sharing so much local knowledge and helping us capture photos. Punctual pickup time. This is a full day tour and a bang for your buck - we saw so much from the time we got picked up at 7:10am through drop off around 5pm. Lunch was the best we had in La Fortuna, and at a lovely ranch outside of town. It is a lot of driving back and forth; we wish the order of things were different to avoid that but because not everyone on our tour was doing all three stops I think it had to be this way. I personally wish there was more hiking time at the Volcano, but since that was the last stop everyone would have been overtired had we hiked more.
Our guide Issac was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He made the tour a great family experience! Would highly recommend this adventure to all!
Everything was as expected and was wonderful. Fabricio the guide did a great job and Jaime the driver was also wonderful. I recommend this tour as a one day way to knock out the best of La Fortuna!
Amazing tour! Mario was exceptional, the stories and the knowledge he shared with us were great. He showed us lots of animals and shared the pictures with all of us. The lunch in el Rancho was one of the best meals I’ve had in CR, and the hike to the volcano to finish the tour was beautiful. If you don’t have much time in La Fortuna and want to see lots of things this is the tour for you!
We had an excellent day. There were just 3 of us with guide, Tony, and a driver. The description on the Viator site wholly understates how good it is. Hanging bridges - easy walk but with Tony we saw Spider monkeys, blue jean frogs, toucans, howler monkeys, viper snake, multiple spiders. Absolutely great. Then fresh fruit laid out by driver (pineapple, watermelon) before driving 25 minutes to La fortuna waterfall, There are 500 steps but can take it at your own pace down and back up. Lunch was at Rainforest explorers - cooked just for us, a traditional casado plate with choice of fish, chicken or beef with water or watermelon juice and coffee. Then onto Arenal volcano to walk along 1968 lava trail, Walking sticks provided. Our guide really made the day , explaining about the animals, plants, volcano, history etc. We did whole tour in about 7 hours including lunch. We are fast walkers and didn't swim at the volcano,
All of it was great. Make SURE to have water shoes for the waterfall visit. Tour guides were amazing. Highly recommend.
Perfect first day activity! We saw and did so much! Our guide, Christian was so knowledgeable and friendly. You should be in good shape for this tour- lots of hiking, but totally worth it!
Raul and Ellio were awesome, awesome, aweosme. We cannot say enough how great our guides were and how wonderful of an experience this was. Highly recommend. The bridges were amazing, the waterfall was so much fun and the volcano hike with the panoramic view was 1,000% worth it!
This activity was wonderful! They picked us on time at our hotel! Our guide isaac was really passionate and explained us a lot of things about animals and the places! He also spotted a lots of animals that were well hidden and showed them to us! The meal was the most délicious that we ate in our whole trip im Costa Rica! The guide explained us that it was not an open restaurant, you can only eat this meal if you book this activity! I highly recommend it! They were very attentive about us and very sympathic! The views were beautiful and everything was really safe! I expected this to be physically difficult but it was not bad! We enjoyed it a lot!
Best experience in Costa Rica. Febreezio & Hymiene were both wonderful. We saw many animals at the Hanging Bridges- saw both types of sloths, not to mention the photos our tour guide was able to take were phenomenal. Febreezio was both Informative and humorous. Definitely recommend.
Isaac did a wonderful job guiding us on this tour with interesting stories and facts about the area and Costa Rica in general. The added touch of the family lunch only for tour guests was the cherry on top! While we didn’t see the volcano because it was raining during the dry season… the group made up for feeling disappointed about that!
Our guide was fun and most knowledgeable - memories to last a lifetime! We enjoyed every minute. We saw slithers, toucans and so many other birds
The day of our tour was very rainy but our excellent guide Tony made the day completely spectacular regardless of the weather. On all hikes he shared interesting facts about the beautiful surroundings, the history of the areas and points about the animals he and the driver went out of their way spotting for us to enjoy! The lunch stop was AMAZING! Excellent authentic Costa Rican food and the friendliest hosts in their ranch home by the river. This trip is well worth the price and we’d give it 10 stars if we could! Pura Vida!
Isaac was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. The weather wasn’t the greatest but he kept our small group engaged with stories about the local people and the animals, birds, and plants we encountered.

From pickup to drop off Isaac was a wealth of information!
Despite the weather being awful, our guide Jason made this tour a success. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. All three elements: the hanging bridges, the waterfall and the volcano hike were interesting and fun in their own right. A great way to see some of the highlights if you've got limited time in the Arenal volcano area.
Terrific guides and super attentive and knowledgeable about Costa Rica fauna and flora. Our lunch was one of the most memorable from our trip, and Oscar made even the bus ride a great experience. 100% recommend!
My wife and I took the 3-in-1 tour in Nov 2023.
Because of an issue with our hotel (long stupid story), we took the tour over two different days.
On day one, we went with Julio (guide) and Jamie (driver).
Amazing pair!
Jamie has eagle eyes! Look! A sloth! (stops the car) Julio would grab his scope and focus in on it. Didn't matter if we were heading to the waterfall or to the volcano. Great pair!
The waterfall was very beautiful. Long hike down....even longer hike back up. Water was cold. We did NOT swim, but lots of others swam. The volcano hike was tricky. Thank goodness that Jamie and Julio offered everyone a walking stick (other tourist were VERY jealous of that!) Amazing commentary about the sites, and flora and fauna along the way. Five stars to both of them. Don't take a backpack with a bunch of stuff to the volcano. You only need water and your walking stick.
The next day, Jamie and Kenny (guide) picked us up for our Hanging Bridge tour. Again...Jamie (and Kenny too) has an eagle eye for spotting animals. The hanging bridge tour was very interesting. Lots of animals....spiders, snakes, frogs, monkeys, birds...and birds and birds! We are really thankful that the company could break this tour into two days. Great support from the office.
Both Julio and Kenny are amazing naturalist. Very concerned about the environment, the rainforest, the animals and their country. We really loved the tour!
Our guide Oscar and our driver Johan we’re both amazing! Oscar was hilarious and amazing at spotting wildlife. Johan pulled over on our way between destinations to spot wildlife, and always had water and snacks on hand. This combo tour is perfect if you have limited time in La Fortuna, as we saw all the main sights in one day.
We experienced a great tour. Our guide was very informative and courteous. Our guide also told us that had a plan B also just in case.
