Your half-day tour begins with pickup in central Funchal. From here, hop aboard a sturdy Jeep and begin your ascent to Largo do Miranda S, from which stunning views of Funchal and Madeira’s rugged coast.

Then, continue ascending to Pico do Arieiro, the island’s third-highest peak and best place for birds-eye views.

Soak up panoramic vistas and history in Cristo Rei do Garajau viewpoint before concluding your tour at the original departure point.

What a fantastic trip! Our tour guide, Pedro, was one of the best I’ve ever had. He was great fun, made us all feel so welcome and involved, gave us so much fascinating information and never rushed us. He obviously loves Madeira and the enthusiasm shone through. It really felt like “Team Pedro”!! The tour itself was also excellent. Beautiful scenery, great fun doing it in a jeep (particularly the off-road bits through the forest), well organised and good value for money. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with this trip and would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks Pedro!!!

What a great trip. The highlight for me was Pico Arieiro where the views were amazing, but all the viewing points we stopped at provided good views. Additionally, our driver, Gil, was passionate about his island, told us about life on Madeira, explained some of the ecological issues and twice stopped to show us plants/fruits he spotted by the side of the road. Thanks.

The tour was amazing, we were very lucky to have Rui with us as a guide for the second time in our Madeira adventure. Rui is an excellent guide, knowledgeable and kind. His enthusiasm toward the beautiful island of Madeira is inspiring. He helped our ‘city kids’ feels apart of nature! It was awesome!

We were very lucky with this tour, as we were the only two on this particular trip. Our driver Lorenzo was very friendly and knowledgable, he knew so much about the island we hadn't read or heard anywhere else. The Valley of the Nuns was absolutely amazing, we can definitely recommend the chestnuts! We were very lucky with the weather going up to Pico de Arieiro, as we came above the clouds in to the sunshine. The views are spectacular and Lorenzo gave us lots of time to wander around and enjoy the views. We also visited Santa Serra to see the park, went off road for a quick explore of the laurel woods, and got to stand up in the back enjoying the view as we came down the narrow little roads towards Santa Cruz. I can definitely recommend this tour - I'll be doing it again next time I visit Madeira!

Good half day trip that showed a lot of Madeira! The guide was not the best we had. He sat quietly in the car without telling so much information during the road, otherwise an interesting trip.

Sehr schöner, individueller Ausflug mit dem offenem Jeep, auch für unsere Tochter (4 Jahre) eine Freude. Die Tour wurde wegen schlechtem Wetter am Berg kurzfristig umgestellt, dennoch ein Traum.
