Your personalized tour of Chianti begins with pickup from your centrally located hotel. Depart Florence by private vehicle and drive through the postcard-perfect landscapes of Tuscany.

Pass by vineyards and olive groves covering the undulating hills. Don't hesitate to ask your driver to stop for photo ops at charming villages or at any winery for optional tastings (at an additional cost).

Placedo is AMAZING!

Placedo is an excellent guide! He greeted us promptly at our hotel at our designated pick up time and from that moment on our experience was 5 stars. Placedo is very friendly and his intimate and extensive knowledge of the area were amazing. We have never been to Florence or Chianti so he explained things as we passed, gave us excellent tips for our stay and took us to a quaint but beautiful family owned winery (Corbucci) where we were treated with personal and special attention. We wish we had the whole day with Placedo! 4 hours was not enough time to enjoy all that he could have shared with us. Next time we will ask for him specifically and spend the entire day with him as our guide.

We absolutely loved this trip! Our driver was phenomenal and very helpful in knowing the area and taking us to some great places off the beaten path. Our wine tour that we set up as part of our day was easily mixed into the itinerary and helped to make the whole experience wonderful!

Driver/guide Cristian was amazing. I was disappointed to find that my $500 tour included a drive to the winery and back and only 9-1:00. Winery was private and great. Only complaint would be what is included for $500. Didn’t include lunch stop or wine tasting just the driver/guide and transportation. Ok to book but be sure to get clarification on length of excursions and exactly what it includes.

First rate third party (Ciao Florence). Since this is only a drive through the Chianti region, I arranged two wine tastings. Oswaldo was our guide and I don’t think we could have found or asked for a better guide. He was the best!! This is a MUST do event!!

Our driver Placido was absolutely fantastic in all regards. The tour exceeded all of our expectations. We had our family - 2 adults and 3 kids - and also went to a great winery in Tuscany and the views and location was great. A snafu from viator was recovered by Placido’s excellent service

The driver, Placido was very knowledgeable and fun. He took us to a great winery. Loved the experience. He was also a safe driver which we appreciate. The bad part was paying $500.00 us for a half day tour. I paid $477.00us for a full day tour in Amalfi. We feel cheated

Our driver was Placido Perera. He was absolutely fantastic with incredible knowledge of the area. What I did not realize is the tour ONLY included the drive to the region and not the wine tasting. We went to an excellent vineyard and bought a large amount of product and after our credit card was processed, the vineyard asked for additional 60 Euros. If I were to do it again I would work directly with a driver, particularly Placido, and pay the driver and the vineyard separately. Otherwise you are shelling ot over $500 for a drive alone.

We truly enjoyed our tour with Alejandro. He did a great job of explaining what we saw and truly entertained us. It was really fun. The wine tour itself was so much fun and we all wished we had experienced a full day instead of only a half day. We would highly recommend!

Private Tuscany Tour from Florence Including Chianti Wine Region

This tour to the Chianti wine region misstakingly went to Pisa. The guide was given the wrong information. HOWEVER! The guide was great and recovered and due to his creativity and personality it turned out to be one of the very best tours we have ever taken. There were seven of us and dispite the error our guide got us to a winery and it all turned excellent! I mean excellent! Errors happen but few companies are as good as Viator in recovering and turning it into a wonderful experience. I would always suggest Viator in the future.

We squeezed this in as soon as we got to Florence. IT was a great half day experience. We got out to the Chiati region and relaxed with an amazing Chiati waiter who explained every bit of regional information, How balsamic vinegar is made and who the wine is so special etc. Even the kids got to enjoy the tour, which was not designed for them.
