Beautiful sites horrible journey !

Raquel_B, Jun 2025
Bring water there’s a lot of walking about 17,000 steps the bus is very uncomfortable and does not leave you less than a mile away from site and the ac is shady and the the legroom is unbearable. Freddy was full of information and Rodolfo was unwilling or not capable of making our trip or walks shorter or our ac very very cold before entering, especially since we walked further than other tours Viator needs to contract better parking. I have also mentioned, several times in all feed back that I pay for one language and get a tour with multiple languages… I am very annoyed and it interrupts my experience. this in every Viator trip in italy that we have taken. My husband’s chair net and foot stand were both broken I felt too close to chair in front of me and it was miserable to try to nap in between sites. Rules for disrespectful travelers should be reminded: no phone calls or music on speaker, do not skip a turn and no garbage left behind. The curtains on bus smelled of urine and the glass was full of oily head stains !!! Viator should hire me to bring standards to a new level !!!

Good morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Raquel, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Following your comments, we immediately investigated the matter with our team, including both the driver and the tour leader who were present on the day of the excursion. They confirmed that the bus was in proper condition and did not reflect the issues described. That said, we’re truly sorry to hear that your personal experience with the vehicle was uncomfortable. Regarding the walking distance, rest assured that we do our best to comply with the parking rules set by local authorities, which sometimes require buses to stop at designated areas outside the historic centers. Unfortunately, this can mean longer walking distances compared to smaller private tours. Thank you again for your feedback — we truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again on one of our tours — and to change your mind about the quality and care we strive to deliver every day. Best regards

Not worth it!

Wendy_L, Apr 2024
This trip was not worth it. It was a very long day with too many people. It rained all day too, which did not help (although that was out of everyone’s control). I enjoyed the lunch and the tour guide did her best under the circumstances. You would be better spending the money on a smaller group that goes to one or two places at the most.

Good morning from Caf Tour & Travel, Dear Wendy, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the weather is something beyond our control, and we understand how rain can impact the enjoyment of outdoor activities. However, please know that we make every effort to ensure our tours run smoothly regardless of weather conditions. While we understand your perspective on smaller group tours, we strive to offer comprehensive experiences that allow our customers to see multiple attractions in a single day. However, we appreciate your feedback and will consider it as we evaluate our tour offerings in the future. We'd like to thank you for choosing our tour despite the weather challenges, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on a sunny day for a more enjoyable experience. Our best regards

The guide was very knowledgeable and gave clear instructions on meeting points. At the end of the tour was kind enough to recommend restaurants for dinner.

Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa Semi-Independent Tour

Ian_F, May 2019
Great to start tour early in Siena before the crowds built up and get a real feel for the city. Lunch provided was OK and provided good opportunity to meet others; rstaurant had great view of San Gimignano. Both San Gimignano and Pisa very busy and Pisa has lots of stalls and street sellers that detracts from the experience. We were looked after very well by Anna and Chiara who kept us to schedule and were very helpful.

Fantastic

Paul_D, Apr 2019
As a family of five we enjoyed our tour and the guide did an amazing job telling the passengers all of the information in both Spanish and English. He was very helpful and gave great advice on where to go at each location

The guide Claudia and driver Giuseppe were perfect. The office should not have made us wait for the French however. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. They are late, their problem. Only change would be to have enough time in Pisa to climb the tower. Superb day though!

This tour is lovely. You get to see all the places and enjoy them in a very organized and simple way. It involves a lot of walking but it is very good indeed. We did it in Dec 2017, winter time, with my family 6 members and we all agree that this was a wonderful experience. If you want to see all these places and don't have the time to spent a day or two in each place, this tour is highly really recommendable.

I really enjoyed this tour. The drive through the countryside of Tuscany was worth the trip alone. Sienna is beautiful, the Compo and the cathedral. It would have been nice have spent longer there but that was not possible given the itinerary. The lunch at the winery was good and the restaurant had fantastic views towards San Gimignano in the distance. It was a very pleasant break at San Gimignano. The sight of the leaning tower and cathedral at Pisa is very familiar but when you actual see it for real it is quite breathtaking, if anything I think the outside of the cathedral and Baptistry are more impressive than the inside. Our guide Antonio was very good he spoke excellent English and Spanish. He was very pleasant and helpful throughout the trip and the commentary he gave during the coach travel was just right, he gave us interesting information without overwhelming us with it. I can certainly recommend this tour

A great way to see the countryside...

Karen K, Sep 2017
A great way to see the countryside of Tuscany and some of the highlights if you only have one day. The main drawback is the short amount of time at each place - we had about an hour and a half in Siena, and an hour each in San Gimignano and Pisa. That was enough for Pisa, but I'd have liked more time to explore the other two places.

John H, Aug 2017
Our tour guide was Brando, who gave us a lot of information about Sienna, the area of Tuscany that we were driving through, and even the Benedictine monastery. We hit some traffic going into Sienna, though that's the fault of the city, not the driver or tour: it seems like there's only one way to the visitor's entrance, which means every car and tour bus has to take the same road. We didn't book the guided tour of Sienna since we didn't know it was available when we booked the tour. The guide offered it to us for an extra charge, but decided to walk around on our own. Then there was a lot of traffic going out of Sienna for the same reason: way too many cars and buses trying to use the same small roads. Overall, the time spent in Sienna was just enough to get a taste of the city. We were able to take plenty of pictures, do a little shopping, and even get some gelato before heading back to the bus. We then drove to the next stop: lunch in a restaurant that overlooked the Tuscan countryside with San Gimignano in the distance. Lunch was: an appetizer of bread, cheese, and meat, then a main course of rigatoni with meat and light sauce, and then desert wine and biscotti. Different types of wine were served at each course. Then we continued on to San Gimignano. This is a medieval town that's become over-run with tourists. Seriously, there are were a lot of people and a lot of tour groups when we got there. The gelato store is supposed to be one of the best in Europe and the long line proved it. Unfortunately, we only about an hour to walk around, take pictures, shop, stand in line for gelato or not, and then make it back to the bus for the next stop. We then drove over to Pisa. When we got there, the choice was to take a shuttle train for 5 Euros per person or walk the approx 1 mile from the parking lot to the monuments. It would have been nice if the cost of the shuttle train was included in the cost of the tour. Then Pisa itself is just the baptistery, cathedral, and of course, the famous leaning tower. There were long lines to get into everything, so we didn't have time to buy tickets to climb to the top of the tower. Since this tour does not include tickets to the Pisa tower, you'd have to buy them on your own. However, the tour doesn't guarantee that the group will be in Pisa at a specific time, so you can't buy tickets in advance. And by the time you actually get there, tickets might be sold out or you may not have enough time to wait in line.

It's a long day, but the tour was well run and well scheduled. Of course, this is not the best way to visit the area, but if your time is limited and you want at least an introduction to the are, this is the way.

This was a great tour that allowed us to see a few places in a short time. Siena and San Gimignano are both amazing places. The tour guide was really good and made the trip much more interesting for us. The coach was very comfortable. This tour gives you a taster of each place if you are short on time. All in all highly recommended.

This was a good value tour with a good amount of time at each location. There are some long stretches of walking, with up hill sections which were problematic for some. The tour guide also goes at a fair pace so takes some keeping up with. Overall I would recommend this tour.

Roxann, Jul 2017
This tour could have excluded Siena or not stayed there. San Gimignano was unbelieveable, enjoyed that the best. In Pisa we only got 45 minutes. Not enough time to go up in the Leaning Tower. Was very disappointed. There was the 4 of us and my daughter will not get another chance to go back there. It was very upsetting to be there only 45 minutes!!!!!!! Would not recommend this tour.

Overall, very good tour. The driver and guide were friendly and reliable (we had Raul and Caterina), very informative as to the region. Pluses: excellent farm lunch and wine tasting; lovely scenery; freedom to wander unguided for a bit. Negatives: rushed in Pisa (only one hour to see everything).

JENNIFER W, Jun 2017
Our guidefemale, with Mexican mother and Italian father sorry I forgot her name was very good, but the tour itself is too fast-paced with not much time for any of the cities - the visit to Siena Cathedral was too hurried although the guide was very good guide for Siena cathedral but there was too much to see and listen to and not enough time. The stop for lunch was in a beautiful countryside ristorante with but they only served bits of appetizer and some pasta, biscotti with vin santo for dessert too skimpy wines were good though. I think it will be better to reduce the whole tour down to just Siena and Pisa and skip San Gimignano to give more time to each city - or just Siena and San G. Both towns have so much to offer it's a shame to pin the time down to an hour eachactual visit time is approx. 1 hour each.

Pleasant day trip to see the various sites in the Tuscany area. Traffic issues before reaching Siena severely impacted the enjoyment for the rest of the day. Disappointing the tour couldn't be more flexible with the schedule.

Tulasi_Z, Apr 2017
One of the best tours I have taken in Tuscany. Our tour guide, Marta, was great and gave us useful historical information about each town before we arrived. Each stop provided enough time to see the main tourist attractions but also allowed independent exploration if you wanted it. The lunch and wine-tasting was excellent and in a unique setting, within a wine cellar. The bus is very comfortable and excursion provides a wonderful opportunity to get out of the city and see the beautiful country side of Tuscany, I highly recommend taking this tour. I have attached photos of some of the highlights. Enjoy!

Sian_T, Apr 2017
Fab tour guide, really caring and helpful. The tour is very good but I would like to say that for anybody with ANY mobility issues it is NOT for you. I recently broke my arm and still have it in a sling. The coach parks a very long walk from all the destinations and there are thousands of steps and steep inclines involved. So many I actually gave up in sienna and spent a pleasant 40 minutes in the bus depot ! The lunch at the vineyard was ok, nothing to get excited about, a slice of ham, 2 slices of salami, bit of bread with olive oil and a bit of cheese with a bit of lettuce followed by either lasagne or pasta in tomato sauce. The almond biscuits were inedible because they were solid ! Be aware in Pisa! Rammed full of gypsies, beggars, asylum seekers all trying to get money from you. They are literally waiting for you to get off the coach ! All the stalls in the market are run by non Italians and look very dodgy ! Big problem with pick pocketing . Be aware that the trip involves a huge amount of walking, I recorded over 25,000 steps and I didn't do it all !
