Scale and colour

Having seen photographs thought it would be nice to see but the scale, colour is something to be seen in true light. Would be happy to spend another day there.

The view from the top of the tower is spectacular, especially of the cathedral. It was a lot quieter inside the tower, than expected, which was an added bonus for us too. Well worth a visit.

The only line you skip is buying your tickets! Buy them there.

The only line you skip is the one to buy the ticket. Do yourself a favor and just buy it when you arrive. Let my loss be your lesson. Seriously buy the ticket at the location. You also have to walk a block away to get the tickets. Don’t. Just don’t.

Interesting. Excellent. Doesn’t need long to walk around but well worth visiting. The tower wasn’t accessible to the top the day we went even though we had tickets but it was still good to be able to go up as far as we did

The explanation of how to get hold of the tickets was very inadequate, and very different for each of the six bookings that I made. In some cases I simply needed to visit a specific address, in others I had to search around to find someone who could point me in the right direction - all this in a foreign language, and under time pressures. My visit to Florence became a nightmare of worries rather than a pleasure. It wasn’t even possible to collect the entry tickets in advance - (such as for the Palazzio Vechio - I was called into the designated address a day early and they turned me away. Each booking confirmation said the tickets would be emailed to us 24 hours in advance of each event - but that was a false promise that left my partner and I in a state of permanent panic. I would recommend this type of service to a friend because it is the only way to get to see the key museums and art collections without queuing 4-6 hours for each one - but I would warn him/her that Viator’s customer support in Florence is very poor.

We really didn’t need the skip the line ticket because there was no line,, we couldn’t use the audio guide because we were not informed that we needed to do this on our phone through internet., didn’t purchase an internet service for Italy. Verifying upsetting

I'm a big fan of Skip-the-Line, even if you pay a little bit more, it's great to not bake out in the sun or drenched in the rain. As with other museums in Florence, the route and works of art were laid out well and had good signage.

Incredible History and Breathtaking Art

Outstanding! Would highly recommend you purchase an audio-guide for $7 (per guide) when you arrive. The guides can be purchased at a counter in the ticket office. For us, there was no wait when we arrived and we were able to get audioguides right away. The guides helped us learn a tremendous amount about the palace and its history. The tickets for this tour provided comfort that if there happened to be a wait (which on the day we visited there was no wait) we would be able to enter the museum without risk of missing our train ride home later that day. We spent about 2 hours in the museum and could have stayed a half hour longer (the audio guides help you to not rush through the museum and truly learn about the art and history) but had to skip the last two rooms of the museum to make it to our next scheduled tour.

Choose a different operator. We purchased 10:00am tower tickets and were given 11:30 tickets instead at pickup. When I asked they were very curt and rude to me and just walked away.

Not as grueling as the Duomo with beautiful panoramas

while the last leg of the tower is narrow and accessible in both directions, it is tight. It is a far more gradual, wideer climb to the first tier. Closes when it rains.

The access to Arnolfo Tower was not at the time we signed up for. It ended up overlapping with a different tour. It was NOT an error on my part, because the friend I was traveling with had the SAME thing happen to her and we booked independently. My recommendation to travelers: ALWAYS go directly to the official ticketing agent, not a 3rd party. The docent at the tower was accommodating and allowed us to enter at the time we PAID to enter.

Must visit location

For anyone interested in history, this is a must visit location. The Medici family had unbelievable impact and much of their history is here. There is also remarkable architecture and engineering involved in the building of the palace and the artwork it contains from friezes to sculptures to frescos and more are really impressive and beautiful. We had an unguided tour and would go again with a guide if we had more time. A MUST DO in Florence!

Amazing experience! It was easy to get the tickets from the address provided, as it was very close to the Palazzo. The staff wrote me in advance to remind me to pick them up, and called me half an hour before to offer me help to find the location. The Palace is amazing and it is worth visiting. There was no waiting time in the line as there was no line :)

Easy to pick up tickets and smooth entry to Palazzo Vecchio and Arnolfo Tower. Palazzo Vecchio is a treasure trove of amazing sculptures and paintings. Arnolfo Tower provided awesome views of various sights! Worth doing!

No refund for an error by Viator

I had an issue with the train to Florence, so I missed the time slot for my ticket to Palazzo Vecchio. Despite Viator's efforts to reschedule, they provided me with a new time, but it was incorrect as the attraction was closed. As a result, I couldn't visit Palazzo Vecchio and they did not refund the ticket cost.
