Finding location to...

Finding location to exchange voucher for tickets was extremely difficult. Street Numbers di not run in order, there were TWO number 43 and it was just at the door of a private residence. “Brian” finally found us and was extremely helpful but perhaps a bright jacket or vest with a company logo on it would be helpful (like Viator Luca/Pisa tour kiosk and guide wearing FUCSIA vests). We were 4 adults with Google and with asking at several businesses along the way and STILL had trouble locating meeting point. Street Numbers although even/odd do not go consecutively! There was no way to know if we were at correct 43! Time was running out for our entry and no one could help us!

Don’t buy - this was a rip off. They just up charge you for the same ticket and still have to wait in a line. They literally just escort you to the line

Dear Nicole, Thank you for your feedback but please do not spread the wrong information if you dont know what are you buying then this is not our fault you have waited in the line just for the security check the other line depends on the day its hours long , you just had to wait for the security check which was 5 to 10 min max and it is important for everyones saftey.

Get a ticket and avoid long lines! Wonderful museum if Florentine Renaissance Art. Take your time to relax and enjoy the art. Iatir was great. I got in the day I bought my ticket!

Our meet time was to be 11:50 and our entry time was to be at 12:00. However, our actual entry time was 12:15. We were not initially given the instructions for accessing the audio tour and had to exit the museum to find our original tour coordinator to inquire about accessing the audio guide. He then gave us a QR code to scan. That should have been done during all the waiting period or at the very latest when we walked through the front door. The audio guide was quite convoluted and had us going back and forth from room to room.

Should not be missed. David gets the most attention for obvious reasons but there's so much to enjoy and marvel at in this gallery.

Everything worked as it was supposed to. Had 4pm scheduled and showed up at 3:53 and were met by the chaperone. He got us our tix and we went to a line and were in at 4:06. Worked like it was supposed to and we tried on our on to get tickets direct a month out. This was perfect as my kids were antsy and it was 97F!

Viator Should have known...

Viator Should have known when we booked that this was a big public holiday in Italy and the museums were free. They said they tried to contact us via phone but we show no record of that. We had to stand in a very long line and were overwhelmed with the number of people. Although the statue of David was spectacular, the crowds almost ruined the experience!

This made our visit to David so very easy and a wonderful experience! Our guide brought the tickets to us and we went right in… I will never visit the Academia without using this service! Very happy visit!

Skip-the-Line Is Worth It, Audio Guide Not So Much

The skip-the-line access was absolutely worth it—especially with how long and crowded it gets. We were able to get in quickly which made the experience much smoother and less stressful. That said, the audio guide was pretty disappointing. The explanations didn’t add much value to the visit. Also worth noting: the base ticket is around €26, but we paid €36 per person—so you’re mainly paying for the convenience. Overall, I’d still recommend it for the priority entry alone, just don’t expect much from the audio guide.
