It was lovely to visit Pisa and drive through Tuscany. Tour guide in Pisa Cathedral was quite good and knowledgable and told us some funny stories as well. Bus was full with people who stayed on a guided tour and ones who went alone in Pisa. Climbing Pisa was great experience and hood exercise.

Everything was on time and smooth. The instructions for meeting up were extremely clear and easy to follow. Our tour guide (I believe her name was Kieko) was hilarious and so welcoming. Highly recommend this tour!

Your day trip will begin in central Florence, where you’ll hop on your air-conditioned coach and relax on the ride to Pisa. Watch the scenery change from bustling Florentine streets to the vineyards and rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside.

Upon arrival in Pisa, explore Cathedral Square (Piazza dei Miracoli) with your guide. Admire the impressive Duomo, Baptistery, and Camposanto Monumentale as your guide provides insightful commentary on the historic sites around you.

Gaze up at the impressive Palazzo Vescovile in Piazza Arcivescovado, now a popular hotel.

Make your way to the city’s most famous monument, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and bypass the lines with your direct access ticket. Head straight up the spiraling 294 steps to admire panoramic views at the top.

After the guided tour, you will have some free time at your disposal to explore. Your tour will conclude with transportation back to Florence.

Please note: If you have no head for heights, walking difficulties or aversion to enclosed spaces, the Leaning Tower of Pisa climb probably won’t be for you. Use the time to relax at leisure in Cathedral Square, instead.

It is mandatory to arrive at the meeting point at the mentioned check in time. In case of delay it will not be possible to join the tour, nor to have a refund or reschedule the tour.
Please be advised that it is required to bring your original ID with you during the tour.
Once the audio guides are handed over before the guided tour, they become the full responsibility of the customer. In case of loss, a fee of €80 will be charged.

Skip the tower climb

If you only pay for the bus ride over, it probably pans out. But if you choose to add the guided tour and tower climb, there's not really any free time left to do some exploring and playing with taking pictures. The guided tour was informative but long. It would be nicer if it could be condensed down to about 20 minutes, instead of 50. The climb up the tower allows for great panoramic pictures, but if you have issues with vertigo like I do, consider the idea of descending slick, uneven stairs (due to grooves waorn into them from so many people climbing), with no railing, at a forward leaning angle. For the most part, I think you'd be happiest just getting the ride and them enjoying a couple hours of free time to explore at your own pace.

The architecture and beauty and having the opportunity to explore such in Pisa and most of all to climb the tower and enjoy terrific views from the top. However we were disappointed in the lack of engagement from our tour guide on the coach journey to Pisa. We passed many beautiful historical looking buildings in the countryside and would have appreciated information from our tour guide. This would have made the journey on the coach so much more interesting. He was pleasant but should engage more on the tour. Afterall, the excursion begins from the moment one boards the coach.

That the entire thing was the most stressful and rushed tour we experienced on our vacation and was not enjoyable. We also could only understand about 10% of Kayko's English and the local guide in Pisa was rude and our headsets were not working so she had to speak without it but we could not hear her. We were also made to purchase church cover ups for literally 5 minutes inside the church and we were told we could not just wait outside for the group. It was an experience that I honestly feel we should be refunded for because it was so terrible. The only reason I gave 1 star is because we did get to see and climb the tower but we felt very rushed to go up which also made it stressful and not enjoyable.

The transportation was nice and they delivered on everything that they promised. We were passed from guide to guide, and the whole thing felt rushed. With only 2 hours time, seeing the tower and cathedral took up most of the tour. Having more time to explore Pisa, shop, and grab a meal would have been nice.

Terrible meeting spot and rushed tour

The tour guide was excellent. Finding the meeting point was extremely difficult. We asked multiple people multiple times and were told many different directions. I called the company and they couldn’t help- sent a pin on google maps that didn’t open. The tour was very rushed and we had no free time to stop and eat or get a drink or shop or anything. I went up the tower and had to immediately come down and then left. This was my first bad experience with trip Viator. I was really disappointed. Loved the leaning tower of course, but everything else was frustrating.

Great afternoon out. All went well with no hiccups. The trip and Pisa tower was so organised. Only fault was the toilets were €1 to be paid with a credit card which we didn’t take with us. just walked in a on site cafe.

Great tour, but description of where to get the bus could be better.

Our choice to join this tour was a great one. Very informative guide, comfortable, clean bus and ample time to explore. Our only comment is that the location where you meet the bus is not very clear. It is quite a walk from the front of the train station to all the way behind the station where the meeting place is. Otherwise we would have given 5 stars.

The pickup point has no signage so bit unsure if in right place but we were. The panini at the food van whilst we waited was delicious. Trip itself was good and the tower climb well worth it. Just be careful of the slippery marble steps. Inside the church was magnificent. A great afternoon

The tower climb is a must! We had a great time touring the Cathedral and our guides were very knowledgable about the history of Pisa. Great way to spend the afternoon!

Better information on where to find the individual leading the tour would be helpful as they were not in the Piazza indicated but across the street. It was raining and cool the day we went and the bus didn't seem to have heat though several people asked for it. We had heat on the return trip to Florence? We enjoyed the Cathedral tour and leaning tower of pisa the ticket should have included the baptistry as we had time to view it and stook out in the rain instead. It was still a good trip with a few small concerns.

Lovely tour! Short and sweet! Both guides were informative and super friendly! I had so much fun and enjoyed the tower climb! Our group was small so we moved fast and the bus ride was really comfortable! The tower looked small in reality but the whole square was beautiful!
