Great performance and lovely setting. I was expecting a little more though, we had one singer and one piano player. Both were perfect but would of enjoyed another singer or some violins etc.
The venue is an old church with no signage out front. It was difficult to find and I passed it 4 times before I figured out it was a tiny church. The tour operator was unresponsive to my texts for help. There were no open windows in the church on a day that had been 90 degrees. We were all sweating and I felt awful for the singer. There was one loud fan set up that did little to cool the room and could not reach us where we were seated. I would have left had I been able to workout offending the performers. Also, with all the free music around Florence, paying for this show was a rip off. The singer and piano player were good, but not great and certainly not worth the money I paid. I am an avid music lover and concert attendee and this event was not worth attending. Very misleading advertising photo as well. The singer was in a cheap dress and the venue was rundown

Dear Ruth, I am sorry you had trouble finding the church. If you didn't like the church, that is your personal opinion; the beauty of the church is indisputable. You sent the messages asking how to find the church after the concert had already started; we only noticed the messages once you had entered. Paying for this event is not a rip-off; we work with excellence, and the singers undergo a rigorous selection process to perform, thereby ensuring quality and professionalism.
This was such a lovely montage of opera songs (some we did not recognize, some were the very popular opera songs). The performers were so talented and professional. What voices! The piano accompanist was unbelievable. A terrific experience.
Maria had a great voice and the piano was amazing. A definite must-see if you are visiting Florence and are looking for a cultural experience.
This is a great intro experience to opera! While it is a tourist attraction, the performers were very talented and sang beautiful choice pieces in a gorgeous place. I recommend for families looking for a fun cultural night.
It was amazing to see the opera. It was a small close setting and was amazing. My children loved it! It made for a very Italian feeling experience!
This experience was wonderful. The only thing wrong was that they didn’t have the portable AC unit on so it was very hot inside the church. If that was working this would be a 5 star experience.
Phenomenal world class talent!! Male and female singers were extraordinary. The pianist was amazing. Even though there were only three musicians, it was fantastic. The church appears to be an old church, but it is extremely beautiful, even if it appears to be abandoned. I like that the show was not too long and there were about 12 songs that only lasted 3 to 4 minutes each. The show was of a perfect length to get entertainment without going on too long. I don’t think that you need to follow the dress code for most churches, there were several people wearing very short skirts and had their shoulders exposed, and the dress code was not the same as being in a church. They even sold wine at the venue if you want a few glasses. Highly recommended.
The performance was well worth the ticket price, and the singers and pianist did a great job. Find the venue by way of Santa Monaca Hostel, which is easier to find on maps and arrive early (15-30 mins) to make sure you find the place. The event cost of 30 Euro is probably a better deal than the 80 Euro event with dinner. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area. The concert room is small and intimate and gets very warm, quickly, so be prepared to sweat a bit. Bring at least one bottle of cold water per person for the 1-1/2 hour performance. On the whole, I'm really glad I did it.
It’s a nice experience but the venue was too small for the high volume of the voice and there was no A/C
We had a wonderful time listening to great music. Both soprano and baritone were outstanding! Pianist was also a true virtuoso!
A delightful and romantic evening in beautiful Florence with amazingly talented performers. It was absolutely a delight and was the perfect end for a wonderful evening after exploring & dining in Rome. We highly recommend this experience.
Incredible experience. Very intimate setting in the church and close to the city center. Great way to start a trip.
Very enjoyable although a bit short.
The singers were excellent as well aa the pianist.
The program represented Italian opera and song of Austria.
Intimate sneak peak into Opera! The local small church was a great venue for the occasion. The performers were nothing short of amazing and provided a nice variety of classic opera. There was an option to buy a glass of wine with euros if you wanted. I thought it was the perfect amount of time.
The concert was incredible. Enjoyed the Barber of Seville and group sing of O Solo Mio. The venue was just amazing with great acoustics. Got this as a spur of the moment decision and was glad I did. Only issue was finding the entry door.
This opera performance was absolutely phenomenal. The quality of their voices and the skill of the piano player was outstanding. The setting in the old church just adds to the experience. Definitely recommend. One of the highlights of our trip.
Everyone one super helpful, Knowledgeable and communicated with us throughout the process. I highly recommend.
The whole experience was very interesting and exciting. The walk through Florence into the church was a great experience in itself. The Arno river at night time is beautiful. The church venue illustrates the history and musicianship of Florence. The singers and the piano player were great. It was a great cultural experience.
Super selection of music and songs, amazing accompanist and singer. Really enjoyable evening, for us all.
The opera was an immersive experience that combined powerful vocal performance with refined orchestral precision. The staging was visually disciplined, allowing the emotional weight of the narrative to remain central. The performers demonstrated strong technical control, particularly in sustained passages requiring dynamic modulation and tonal clarity. The acoustics enhanced the resonance of the voices, creating a layered atmosphere that conveyed both tension and vulnerability. The production balanced tradition with subtle modern interpretation, maintaining respect for the original composition while ensuring accessibility for contemporary audiences. Overall, the performance delivered a coherent artistic expression that emphasized emotional depth, musical structure, and theatrical discipline.
Incredible vocal performances. Great atmosphere within the old church.
I still need to enter 30 characters.
Lovely intimate surroundings in a charming setting. Beautiful singing. Shorter than I expected, but very enjoyable.
Perfect accompaniment to the trip to Florence highly recommended tricky to find at first but it’s 2 nd door down from the grocery shop Conrad’s
Beautiful evening, listening to stunning opera and piano solos. Highly recommend this evening and worth every penny.
Outstandingly brilliant wonderful opera experience. Both singers and pianist are well established professional performers. Intimate atmosphere in beautiful church. Well worth the time and money. I would go again if I ever return to Florence
Enjoyed the music and performance - pianist and vocalist were very good. Good value and a nice evening in an old church.
We had a lovely valentines evening,
We really enjoyed the concert the venue was beautiful.
The only thing that I was not happy with is that there was no toilet at the venue and also for a drink you had to pay cash only.
I would have brought cash with me if had know before hand .
Intimate experience in an old church. They were both very talented. One hour was a perfect length of time.
A lovely evening the venue was disappointing not really appropriate for opera the accoustics were not great
