Your perfume-making class starts with meeting the master perfumer in an atmospheric workshop dating back to the 1700s.
Once inside, relive the atmosphere of alchemists and apothecaries residing in Florence during the Renaissance, surrounded by unique glassware, ampules, and rare essences.
Listen to an introduction to the history of perfumery in Florence, and learn how to choose the best ingredients and transform them into special fragrances. Then, create a personalized fragrance from a kit of essences and bottle your own perfume.
Your workshop includes a break for coffee or tea and a certificate of completion signed by the master himself.

This was a fun class. It was fun to do solo and it would be fun with a group as well. It’s a pretty straightforward class. You pick the fragrances you like. Based upon their expertise, they determine the number of drops of each of the fragrances you select. You have plenty of time to pick everything out and you leave with a bottle of the perfume you created and the recipe should you wish to order more in the future.

Fun unique experience. Made a custom perfume out of a pre selected 30 scents. I added Gardenia so it cost 10 euro more. They did not do a history of perfume in Florence as advertised but still fun.

A really beautiful experience creating our own hand crafted Perfume and learning about the history of the venue and of perfume in Florence. The staff were wonderful and we had a wide range of different options to choose from. The shop itself it beautiful too. It was really fun and interesting. I love my personal signature scent and I love that it's easy to reorder later! A really cool experience in a nice small group.

What a wonderful time my daughter and I had making our own personal scented perfume together! While I thought we would learn more about the history of perfume - I was happy to learn about base, heart, and top oil scents and how that works. We love our creations and can’t wait to see what it will smell like at 30 days. We enjoyed the other ladies at our table and it’s crazy all the variations. I would highly recommend this excursion. The two ladies were very helpful!

The shop at which this event was conducted was lovely, and the employee assigned to my group was gracious and helpful. But if you're thinking of attending based upon the event photo on the Viator website, you might be disappointed. It gives the impression that you will have access to multiple fragrance samples. In reality, you're seated at a table with a group and restricted to about 20 dropper vials that you may use to create your fragrance. I would have liked to sample more essential oils, so that I could be assured that I was creating something truly unique.

I loved it! The class actually starts at the “ be there” time which is 10 min prior to the listed class time, so plan to get there 15 min early. I was 3 min late and class had started.
Elena was part of the staff and charming and helpful….be sure to take time to see the owners collection of perfume!

This experience was good. I added different oils to create my scents. After I chose multiple oils, someone added it all together for my own combination of perfume. It was explained to me clearly. They were professional and kind. I would do it again. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fragrances.

Save your money and go to a perfume store or Sephora. It will be faster and you will have better choices. The “class” was 16 people smelling about 20 vials of scent and picking from the few you like, then waiting an hour for them to go around the groups and have one employee mix them for everyone. Nice idea, poor execution and choices. A very expensive afternoon where three of our three members didn’t like what we got. They try to be friendly and make conversation, but it was just killing time until we could have the “perfume” made. Would have been better off at the airport shops.

This is my first time taking a perfume making class so I must say that it sparked an interest in me, wanting to learn more about fragrances. I had a little bit of difficulty understanding the instructor, but in the end, it turned out to be a great class and I’m hoping that I will enjoy the fragrance that I created since we have to wait about a month to let everything incorporate.
