    Wow! This was an incredible night! Our hosts were funny, kind and knowledgeable. When they say their goal is to make the group feel a part of the restaurant family they absolutely mean it. From the glass of prosecco to kick off the night, to the last bite of dessert they kept the conversation, laughs (and the drinks) flowing. For the amount of food we got, this was an absolute steal. Add in the experience of going into the kitchen to learn how to prepare our steaks and the fun of having someone who's so knowledgeable about the region sitting down at the table, willing to answer any questions and the value here is immeasurable. Not only that, we all made some new friends in the group for when we get back to our respective homes. This was absolutely the highlight of my time here in Florence. If you have a chance to book this experience, do it!

    I gifted this to my husband for our wedding anniversary. It was amazing! The staff is fantastic and are great instructors! Oliver made our night so special ! I can’t emphasise enough just how wonderful the staff makes you feel! That truly make this amazing. The amount of food you get, plus the experience is worth the price !

    The restaurant staff was kind and attentive. Enrico, our chef, was fun and super-personable! That being said, the food was good, but for the amount of food we received and the actual experience, this was quite expensive!! If we were to rate it on Enrico alone, we would have given it a 5 ;)

    100% Premium Experience. Do they do this for all the guests??? I expected a class for cooking a steak. We got a 3 or 4 course meal, with EXCELLENT service, and in the middle we went into the sold out restaurant’s kitchen to prepare our Florentine Steak with the chef. My husband is a chef and connoisseur of steaks and we both learned a lot from these historic Italian preparation experts. It was one of those experiences in a lifetime that you relish over and over. Thank You, Enrico, Oliver and Ever for sharing your passion and kitchen with us. We love you!

    Oliver was great! We are so happy we had this Florentine Steak Experience. Learned how a good steak is cooked. Had a chance to go in the kitchen and prepare it ourselves. Our meal was delicious! Would 100% recommend this experience!

    Our family of 4 had a great time! Oliver was an excellent host. We learned some new tricks of making the perfect steak. Working in professional restaurant kitchen was interesting as well. And yes, our steak turned out awesome!

    In a working commerical kitchen, we learned about cooking a porterhouse steak the way done in Florence. Some new tips on the process and the resulting meal was great. Small group - only 4 of us.

    The most memorable parts were that I did a great job on my steak. The chef had me put more herbs & olive oil on the steak than I was comfortable with, however it was still tasty. I wanted to really taste the beefy-ness & the herbs were a touch overpowering. The dessert was some cookies & sweet wine, not what I would expect for an $180-ish meal. I was the only person there taking the class. Thankfully there were some other travelers there to converse w/. I would say it would definitely be good for a group but for 1 person the price was not really worth it. I had a similar steak dinner a few nights earlier w/ wine, app, salad, coffee, creme brulee dessert & it was only €85.

    Thanks for your feedback Jennifer, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Of course the cost of the experience is not just for the food, which is of the highest quality in Florence with certified Chianina cows and every ingredient reliably sourced, the restaurant even using their own renewable electricty, but for the privelege and time of being backstage in the kitchen with the chef in a usually busy restaurant. Traditionally the steak is served drizzled in olive oil and some rosemary and I know the chef is passionate about letting customers experience the steak at its best, but if you'd expressed you didn't want as much he should of course listen to your preferences. Cantucci and Vin Santo wine is a traditional dessert in Italy that often goes down a treat - we'd have been happy to switch for a tiramisu or something else available if you'd preferred and said.

    You can order Florentine steak at many restaurants but you not learn about the meat or get to cook it yourself unless you do this wonderful “experience”! My husband and I loved it. You get house wine, an appetizer and dessert along with the incredibly delicious steak and potatoes. Highly recommend!

    We were greeted by the owner who was incredibly friendly throughout as were all the staff involved in the experience. We got some great tips around how to cook the perfect Florentine steak while cooking our own and the meal was impeccable- fantastic starter, main, dessert, and wine. I’d go back to the restaurant in a heartbeat next time I’m in Florence.

    It was fun, because of the other couple with us. They were very preoccupied with their restaurant, to give us the personal experience we paid for. We got to cook our own steak, it was just too expensive for what we got. A steak costs 45 euros at a restaurant. This experience gives you one steak per couple, that equates to a $200 upcharge. Again it was fun, I just expected more for the cost.

After some years now of running our Florentine Steak Experience, I must say yours is the first non 5 star review of hundreds of reviews. We were the first and as far as I know, only company doing an authentic Florentine steak experience in Florence. Florentine steaks come from Chiannina beef, an ancient 2000 year old breed that comes from a particular region of Tuscany. So the steaks are expensive. I know many restaurants around Florence sell “Florentine Steaks” but they are not made with the genuine beef required by tradition. We only provide high quality authentic experiences, so are not interested in providing a cheap cut rate experience at the expense of quality. Many of our reviews talk about what value people had with our Florentine Steak experience as well-and a good experience is priceless and provides lifelong memories. You were also in a very small group-you mentioned only four of you. This also comes at a price. When you say a steak costs 45 Euros per person, you are obviously also not taking into account the hands on cooking class time of the chef and host sommelier, or the basic costs of a good authentic Florentine steak restaurant serving the real deal with good local wine and accompaniments. You may also note that it was not a fly-by-night unlicensed backroom venue, but a proper restaurant and restaurant kitchen with all the hygiene preparations required by law in Italy. I would also like to say that licensed experience providers like ourselves also pay very high commissions to this platform that you booked on. Once again, we thank you for your feedback and are curious to know where in Italy you could find a high quality authentic expensive ingredients very small group cooking experience in a licensed restaurant kitchen with a qualified chef for less?

    What an amazing experience! Alberto, our host, was very skilled, knowledgeable and passionate! We enjoyed his stories and easy to follow directions in the kitchen. This night was totally worth every penny and then some! After dinner (awesome) we enjoyed a performance of a piece from the Divine Comedy. The performance was terrific! What a great night! Don’t hesitate!

    Fabulous experience. Had “Florentine steak” at lunch at a different restaurant which was a thin tasteless meat. This was the real thing and beyond delicious. All courses were delicious as was the wine. The restaurant personnel were all fabulous. Cooking is not my thing, but it was a lot of fun. I missed the restaurant on my first pass down the street so look carefully.
