    Half day Chianti Wine Tour & Gimignano

    If given the opportunity to do this half day tour you won’t be disappointed. Beautiful scenery and Emma the guide that was extremely informative and Luciano drove very professionally. Wineries were well set up and very welcoming and informative.

    Understand that the Tour meeting place is not in Florence

    The initial meeting place is NOT in Florence. It is 1/2 hour outside of Florence which cost a 45 euro cab ride.

From Santa Maria Novella Station, you can take Tram T1 towards Villa Costanza, which takes about 20 minutes. Villa Costanza is the last stop on the line, making it very simple to find.     This experience was the highlight of our stay in Florence. We didn't expect sit-down tastings at both wineries with aperitivo style plates. Not only was fun but a learning experience! Tuscany views are incredible and St Gimignano is a quaint, beautiful and charming village.

    Les propriétaires des vignobles étaient de vraies perles! Nous avons aimé leur passage chez eux. Malheureusement, ce qui devait être un tour guidé n’en était pas un. D’une part, nous n’entendions pas bien dans l’autobus, donc très difficile de suivre quelconque explication. Ensuite, nous n’avons rien visité sur place, pas même les caves mentionnées dans la description. C’était une entrée directe dans les salles de réception. Sans la passion et l’accueil chaleureux, l’expérience aurait été ratée. Merci à eux ! Il faudrait inscrire que la visite de la ville est plus ou moins 1 heure, ce qui est très peu même pour une activité qui devait durer 5 heures au total. Peut-être ne faire qu’un vignoble aurait été suffisant pour avoir un peu plus de temps pour découvrir la ville.

    Very convivial moment during the tastings at the two vineyards, where we were very well received with local food and explanations from the owners. Very quick stop in San Gimignano in less than an hour allows just enough time to take some superb photos and leave again. Normal, however, for a half-day activity. Superb Tuscan landscapes. The guide's explanations were clear. Worth it, good experience-to-price ratio.
