Our tour was amazing-it was an intimate tour with only 4 people. We learned a lot about wine and the processes in the region. Lunch was very good and the views are priceless!

Perfect small group tour in a perfect time frame

Perfect tour; very small group. Wonderful guide and sommelier Matteo, very professional. Excellent wineries from rustic to more high end but not opulent. Very good tastings at three wineries. Beautiful settings and Tuscan countryside. All close to Firenze, making for a perfect 6 hour tour. Lunch was simple but delicious. Highly recommended.

Great Experience

Guide was great and the day was well organized. All three wineries provided good wines, and two of them were so good, we shipped some home! Only 7 of us and a very congenial group - had a ball together. Stunning scenery, great wines, excellent lunch...perfect day!

Great wine, excellent tour.

Three great tastings and a lovely lunch. A great selection of white, rose, Chianti, and Super Tuscans from the region at beautiful wineries. Tanya was a great guide.

Deep Delicious Dive

Tracy_C, Jun 2023
We took a wonderfully deep dive into what are known as Super Tuscans with a knowledgeable expert. With a tour of three lovely wineries in the outskirts of Florence, tastings at each location, and lunch as well, it was a terrific day. The countryside is gorgeous, the wines are delicious, and the expert Matteo is a patient driver and teacher who was able to educate us all. Highly recommended!

I have done several wine tours, both...

I have done several wine tours, both in Tuscany and other wine regions. This tour was not up to par with the other tours. The name of the wine tour is Supertuscan, therefore, I assumed we would get to taste some nice supertuscan wine. However, though the day we only tasted two Supertuscan wines. Other than that, we were mainly tasting Chianti. The tour has some potential, but needs a lot of work. The guide was knowledgeable about the wine, but didn't really try and connect with the group and make it a memorable experience for us. He didn't answer all the questions that the group had, he avoided some questions that he didn't want to answer. While at each winery we weren't given the chance to buy any of the bottles that we tasted, which is very odd to me. I would have enjoyed the experience much more if I could have talked to the people creating the wine before deciding to buy the bottles or not. For that reason, I didn't purchase any bottles when we were given the chance at a local shop later on. We went to a few wineries and tasted a few wines at each, honestly, it wasn't much wine. Not enough to really justify the cost of the trip. During the lunch if you wanted wine, you had to go to the bar and buy it yourself. The van that was used for transport was old and loud and dirty. If you aren't sitting in the row behind the driver, you cannot hear a single word that he is saying. The couple that were sitting in the back of the van missed most of the information given on the tour because they couldn't hear the tour guide in between the stops. We stopped at one farm and didn't do anything. We simply walked around for about 20-30 minutes and then left. It seemed like they said that the tour was going to be a certain length and then just went here to kill some time before the stop. It would have been much better if we would used that time to taste wine.

This tour was amazing. It ended up...

This tour was amazing. It ended up being a private tour as we were the only ones who had signed up for the day which made it even better. Our tour guide was a sommelier who was extremely knowledgeable about tuscan wines. This tour is really geared towards people who are interested in wine and don't mind getting just a little technical. We visited three wonderful wineries, got to explore in the vineyards, learned a bit about the tuscan soil and the weather. The first winery had spectacular views included a tour of their barrel room and we did a wonderful tasting of 4 tuscan wines in a private tasting room. The second winery was like a beautiful tuscan villa and we got to learn a lot about their history and tried 3 wines. The last winery was an organic farm where we also had lunch and met up with other tours from florencetown. Florencetown is the tour operator Lunch was delicious and a lot of food! They also gave us the ability to buy and ship wines from all the wineries we visited. It was an amazing day and I highly recommend this tour for any wine lover!
