A gem museum - made better with our knowledgeable guide!

I am so glad we had our guide for this tour. Ilaria was wonderful - she was obviously so pleased to be able to tour this museum, which is not as visited as the Uffizi or Academia, but still has many beautiful works of art. She explained the history of the building and then we say many beautiful works of art as we spent an hour thirty minutes seeing everything. This museum is less visited, it felt like they had just opened it for her to show us around, a great experience. Florence is SO busy, this tour was a great escape.

We could have done the tour on our own but wouldn't have gotten nearly as much out of it had we done so. Fillipo was very knowledgeable and brought our attention to pieces we might have overlooked. It was also heavenly that it was not crowded as other museums so we could spend time examining the pieces that intrigued us. We loved it! Highly recommend.
