We had a lovely outing with the affable and knowledgeable Tiago, who took us to his favorite eating spots, where we were able to sample many of the great flavors of Berlin.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thanks for joining us on the tour!

Great way to learn some history of Berlin and enjoy local food and cafes. Violet was the best guide!
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Fantastic! Thanks so much for joining us and for the 5-star review. All the best for you both.

This was a fun eating tour that covered places that we would never have found on our own. Lee, our guide, did a great job of explaining the food and the related history.
Response from Host, Dec 2024
Happy to hear you enjoyed our favourite spots too!

A lovely time with Marcel as our guide. Our group was only 5 people, making conversation and question easy as we tasted freshly made food at the local stops. Marcel gave much information about Berlin’s progress over the years both socially and politically…interesting and compelling. My favorites were Hokey Pokey Ice cream and the falafel!!! So good!!
Response from Host, Sep 2024
Amazing!! Happy to hear you enjoyed the combination of history and good food. Thank you for leaving us this lovely review.

Loved the food tour! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We started off with grabbing a drink in a convenience store, then it was basically food after food every 20 minutes! After a hearty delicious lunch, our group decided to split the next few food dishes. It was quite an experience as we were absolutely stuffed, but at the same time we knew this was a food tour, so food was the main highlight of the tour. We ended with drinks at a bar, which was a nice touch to the end of the tour.

Wonderful! We're very happy to hear you enjoyed this tour with us. And yes, we like to make very, very sure that no one is hungry at the end of the tour ;) Thank you for leaving us this review!

My wife and I had the opportunity to tour Berlin with Holger privately and he was amazing. We recently moved to the city but were amazed at how much history and character we still didn’t know about. Thanks to Holger, he showed us some hidden gems and gave plenty of great food recommendations beyond the several places we ate it. And the places we ate it were very diverse and tasty. Our favorite was Kebab with Attitude and the donut shop. Holger shared so much about Berlin’s rich history and what made it the city it is today - thanks for a great day!
Response from Host, Nov 2023
How wonderful! We're glad to hear Holger was able to give you a true introduction to this city with its rich history and delicious food. Herzlich wilkommen in Berlin!

Our tour guide, Elena, saved the day providing city insights on a food tour which highlighted that Berlin is not really known for the finest cuisine, but for the melting pot of other nations’ food and the use of organic and natural ingredients. Considering that mainly street food and beer was included in the tour, this one’s a little on the expensive side.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
We're happy to hear you enjoyed your tour with Elena! Berlin indeed is a melting pot of many things and it's cool to read you got a taste of that. We'll pass on the kind words to Elena.

Tiago was very informative and all different varieties of food to eat
Even the weather didn’t spoil the day
Thank you
Vivian_d, Apr 2023
Our guide, Tiago, was great! He took us through some of the neighbourhoods north and west of Hackescher Markt, including an amazing array of alleys with a lot of Berlin’s famed street art. We sampled the famous Currywurst as well as Berliner donuts and a couple of delicious kebab plates. Final stop was a tasting of local beer. Berlin is a very cosmopolitan city, and its cuisine definitely reflects that!

Traversed a good portion of the city in the Mitte district sampling not only German food but some international cuisine as well. Tour guide was very friendly and informative. Get your steps while having some tasty treats. Arrive with an empty stomach.

An excellent experience with the diverse food scene in Berlin. Our guide, Holgar , also provided a fascinating discussion of the Berlin transition after the integration with West Berlin. A wonderful beginning to our Berlin visit.

Amazing experience
I would highly recommend this food tour… wonderful history mixed with delicious food… perfection !!
Julia_S, Sep 2022
Tiago was a terrific guide. He took our group to interesting places, with great stories and memorable food. We had some traditional German fare as well as foods brought to Berlin by its robust immigrant community. Good mix of sweet and savory foods. The tour also included some history of the neighborhood. We also walked about 4 miles.
Chuck_K, Sep 2022
Great fun exploring trendy neighborhoods in Berlin with congenial host and tasty bites and brew. Time flew by.
Andy_H, Aug 2022
We had a wonderful day with our guide Violeta. She was so warm and friendly, and very fun! All of the food was delicious and very unique, we even got to walk though an amazing street market. The neighborhoods we walked through were charming. I definitely felt like I saw a side of her limb I would not have seen on my own.
Mary_G, Jul 2022
Our tour guide, Holgar was wonderful.
He was very knowledgeable and explained in great detail the many sites along the way. The many food stops were excellent and very filling!
Ann_B, Jun 2022
Our guide was wonderful. His choice of the food tastings was great. We walked through a beautiful part of Berlin with a lot of character. When I come back to Berlin I will do this tour again!
Rob_R, May 2022
Violeta was an excellent guide. The group was larger than usual - 9 people, but she managed to pay attention to everyone and to make sure we all had an enjoyable tour. The food choices were multinational, not just local, and the quality was excellent. The neighborhood was trendy and fun. A great wsy to sample some of Berlin’s diverse food scene.
Czarina_Q, May 2022
Wonderful tastings with the warmest, smiliest guide. I love that we tried not only Berliner foods but also culinary trends, including the most popular food stalls in the city. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and very welcoming.
Correy_H, Dec 2019
I highly recommend this Berlin "Classic Bites and Culinary Trends" tour. Our guide Holger was outstanding! He is a naive of West Berlin, so you know that you will be getting the real scoop. I didn't realize how much influence Berlin had from other cultures. In addition to the amazing food --- Holger shared a ton of knowledge on Berlin's history. We pretty much got a '2 for 1' special.
Heather_H, Sep 2019
Unfortunately, we were misinformed for this tour. It was good to see this part of town and get a feel for the culture, but the tour was advertised as being wheelchair and stroller friendly. My extended family therefore specifically chose this tour as my father is in a wheelchair and we had two young children in strollers. The strollers did okay for the most part, but if my husband wasn't there to push the wheelchair and navigate the uneven terrain, my father would definitely not have been able to participate in the tour. I recommend updating your additional information to note that this is not a wheelchair accessible tour because it is indeed not. Two other groups were on our tour, and I hope we did not inconvenience them too much with this misleading information as it substantially slowed down the group.
Response from Host, Sep 2019
Hi Heather,
We are very sorry the tour was not suitable for the wheelchair.
The tour is marked as wheelchair friendly, as there are no steps and all places are labelled wheelchair accessible.
The streets themselves are a bit bumpy at times, but this is through the whole of Berlin.
If we had known prior to the tour that someone in your group was in a wheelchair, we would have provided your group with a private tour instead of the chosen public tour.
We are however happy you all still loved the food tour and your lovely guide Violeta, albeit that the tour lasted a bit longer to accommodate at a nice slow pace.
Thanks so much for your feedback!
All the best,
Dov - Manager

I LOVE food tours and this one did not disappoint! Sean was a fantastic guide - very personable and funny. We had a great time, learned a lot and tasted some amazing food! I highly recommend it!

Dov our guide was great. He was very informed on Berlin history, culture, and food in general had a marvelous time. Favourite was the Kettywurst. Expected more typical German food like pork dishes or sausages. Recommend Dov and his tour company good tour.
Julie S, Aug 2017
This tour is great fun and a lovely way to spend a few hours. Our guide Jane was good company and very knowledgeable. I'd recommend doing this at the start of your holiday as you'll get lots of tips of where to go and eat during your stay.

Jane was the best! The tour was well put together and fun! Would highly recommend
