Well worth a visit

Rachel_M, Aug 2024
Hidden Gem!! Saw someone mention that this was worth a visit so decided to pre book and it certainly was a disappointment!! The views were breathtaking and really gave you a sense of what Barcelona has to offer. Definitely recommend it.

Great viewpoint

A very small elevator (with an operator) - If you're claustraphobic it might not be for you - takes you up to a 360 degree viewing platform. It's so small you must follow other visitors around, no room to pass! But the view was lovely, from the seaside to the Sagrada Familia in the distance. Tapas weren't much, but the wine sampling (one choice per person) was very good. Fun and inexpensive activity.

Amazing view from the top and icing on the cake was generous tasting of a fine quality wine.

Nice aerial views of Barcelona. I felt however a bit cramped in on the viewing platform even though I was the only one up the top and hopefully the glass panels will one day be cleaned or replaced altogether. Wine was good.

This gave first rate views all over Barcelona, not for the faint hearted though, the lift was tiny and very cramped and the viewing platform quite scary if you don't like heights, loved it though and great value for money, the free glass of wine would have cost as much as the entire tour.

We did this on the first day we arrived in Barcelona. The view from the top was amazing. We had a clear afternoon and could see for miles. We were very lucky, we took this tour around 5pm and didn't have long to wait for the lift at all. The wine tasting at the end was a lovely way to finish our time there.

It is well worth going to the top of this well known statue to get excellent panoramic views of Barcelona. There is not much room up there and you have to wait for about 20mins to get the lift but still worth doing. However although I paid the 2.00 extra I wasn't given any wine but I didn't mind as it was a very hot and humid day.

This was the first thing we did while in Barcelona! It was very cool to see the city from this high up! It was nice to be able to do this anytime during the day when you purchase your ticket. Many people visit this monument but don't realize you can go inside. It was worth the money to go inside! This was the smallest elevator my husband and I have ever been in which was fun! The wine tasting inside the Columbus Monument was very refreshing. It was definitely cheaper to buy your ticket on tripadvisor ahead of time than pay inside the monument.

I forgot to print my voucher and the staff there was amazing. They helped me send it to the clerk who printed it for me after waiting for a long while to receive it. The bartender was very sweet and helpful. The wines were amazing. Small, local vineyards. Great time, great service, really nice people!

What a great experience! The space at the top is very narrow, that is why only a few can go at a time. the view is spectacular and NO stairs! The wine at the end was refreshing and the staff was very pleasant throughout the entire monument.

It was our start of the second visit to Barcelona - a good start I would say! First you get to breathe in Barcelona from above and then lay down the base for a good visit with a glass of wine. Small advice - take some nuts or chips to accompany the glass of wine :
