This museum was very well organized and gave a full history of the area and how it was settled. The displays were very detailed and looked very authentic. Allocate a few hours to cover everything. They even had an ancient stone grinder that you turned and you saw the flour coming out at the bottom which was very interesting.

I thoroughly enjoyed the early history displays but all floors of exhibits are interesting. On the rooftop terrace there is a restaurant with tables both inside (with air conditioning) and outside should you wish to dine .The views are wonderful.

Hassle free entry to the museum and the roof top bar. I noticed that the time we chose 19.00 hours was when the museum closed so we went 2 hours before- no problem,

One of the nicest museums that I've seen. The museum was quaint and far from overwhelming like some large museums can be. The displays are interesting and depict all the major points of Catalonia history. All the displays were not only described in Spanish but in ENGLISH as well! The English made me feel right at home and more a part of the Catalonia experience. I highly recommend the History Museum of Catalonia not only as stated above but also because it was very easy to move around the building with the elevator and ramps that connect the floors. Clean rest rooms are readily available and one of the highlights is the rooftop deck restaurant overlooking the Barcelona Yacht Basin. Enjoy your visit; We did!

While this is a beautiful and informative museum, it was empty, It was a self guided tour and I am pretty sure the tickets on site were cheaper. There is no line to skip!
