What To Expect

Enjoy hotel pickup in Athens and relax on board an air-conditioned vehicle as you leave the city behind and head to Corinth. Stop to stretch your legs and admire the Corinth Canal before continuing on to the olive estate, where you’ll be greeted by your host. Stroll through the olive groves as you learn about the history and production of olive oil in Greece and its role in the country’s mythology and economy. Admire rare Manaki heirloom trees, found only here, before reaching the panoramic tasting area.

Sample a range of Greek olive oils and learn to recognize the difference between them with a guided tasting, plus sample a number of regional gourmet snacks. You have time to purchase oil to take home (optional; own expense) before the return transfer and drop-off at your hotel in Athens.

Olive grove was worth a visit

The olive grove tour was great! Marianne, the owner was wonderful. We found the tour interesting and educational! Do not use Viator though, go directly to Greeking.me. Viator overcharged me and took no accountability for this. We did only olive tour, no wine tasting- again Viator has this labeled wrong and charged for this incorrectly!

This was a wonderful experience! It was a lovely “farm” with olive trees, vegetable plants, flowers, chickens, and more. The owner, Melina, greeted us at the gate with a smile and gave us a tour. We learned a great deal about the making of Olive oil from the harvest to the cold-press. Then we had a wonderful lunch in her lovely outdoor patio, which all came from her garden. She was so personable and friendly! One of our favorite Athens experiences that we will treasure always.

Ana, the owner, was fabulous. We learned so much about the whole olive oil process and how the collection affects the tastes. We ended up purchasing quite a bit of her prosecutes because we enjoyed them so much. Recommend to anyone who enjoys consuming olive oil. The dinner that accompanied the tasting, made with her own grown herbs and vegetables was just as fabulous.

This was one of my most favorite experiences while in Greece! To learn about olives, the process of making into olive oil and then tasting the different types was wonderful. The bonus was the restaurant food (farm to fork) was one of the best meals I had in Greece! You would not be wasting your time or money with this tour!
