Excellent museum with a good permanent Van Gogh collection, well worth spending a couple of hours. Be sure to investigate the availability of the temporary exhibit when visiting. As an individual with mobility issues I appreciated the ease of accessing the exhibits (convenient location of elevators and availability of escalators. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We did the museum tour without using the audio and found that there was sufficient signage for our needs. Found individuals hogging their time in front of paintings, especially those taking "selfies" (sometimes multiple selfies!) extremely annoying and inconsiderate! If you're planning to take pictures, take the picture as quickly as you can and then move on so others can also appreciate the paintings.

Viator it’s a very efficient website to book the activities you want to do when you travel. Not only they found me a spot available to visit the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, but also they notify in advance if the spot it’s not available anymore and find you another one. I think it’ s very helpful and I will use again viator for my future tips.

Van Gogh museum with tickets sent last minute

We got a voucher that was supposed to be exchanged to tickets at the museum per viator instructions, the museum staff said we needed tickets with bar code. We contacted the viator support line and fortunately someone responded and sent the tickets right before the entry time. It was a bit chaotic finding this out at the museum entrance, not what we expected. It was poor planning on viator end.
