This Jazz Cruise was a lot of fun! The musicians were excellent and provided a perfect companion to the evening cruise. The clarinet, double bass, guitar and drum all contributed to the vibe of the cruise as well as the city. It was so interesting listening to the complexities of the jazz while watching the intricacies of the beautiful homes and houseboats we passed along the canal. I would definitely recommend this cruise !

Jazz crew didn’t show up. Boat crew was very nice and friendly. Boat was a bit older than others. I will not book again with them.

All though it's only an hour tour. It was a really enjoyable experience. It was a really good vibe. The musicians were excellent. The host Michael was very friendly and and a credit to the tour.

heavy wind and rain -- they should have cancelled the tour / returned to the dock and offered refunds.

It was raining all day. I called to see if they were cancelling the open boat tour and if we could be refunded. I was told the tour would go as planned, so we went. The wind and rain were so bad that the umbrella they provided was mangled from being twisted by the wind ( I've had umbrellas turn inside out because of wind, but never twisted and bent like this one was from the wind). Because of the wind and rain, they should have cancelled the tour prior to our departing or shortly after departing on the tour, and offered a refund. The guide made the most of a bad situation. It was not a good experience. We booked another canal cruise a fews days later in an enclosed boat; even though it was raining, it was pleasant. Because of the possibility of rain being a possibility many/most days in Amsterdam, especially with strong wind, don't book an open-boat cruise!

Relaxing way to finish holiday in Amsterdam

Firstly a bit confusing trying to find the correct operator but once we did it was brilliant. Really enjoyable and relaxing seeing Amsterdam by the river and it was the perfect way to finish up our time in the city. The guides were kind and friendly however the free drink seemed to cause a bit of issue ( unsure if they were unaware they should be providing it as per booking ) but they honoured it and were polite about it. Worth a go!

We did the tour with a baby and loved it. The tour company looked after our stroller for the duration of the boat ride. The skipper who gave the tour was great, educational and funny. The boat was nice. A really enjoyable afternoon.

Disappointing overall

We took the 75-minute canal “Cruise Like a Local boat” tour with KinBoat on September 9, 2018. Our boarding time was 8 pm but KINBoat changed the cruise time from 8 to 8:30pm without in anyway informing us. As a result, we waited for 45 minutes for the boat to arrive. Before the wait at the loading platform we had to run from one platform to the other (there are few loading platforms in the area) as there were no clear directions or signs as to which platform we had to board from. And finally, the guide did a poor job of narrating the tour. He neither introduced himself nor gave a description of the tour. We had to ask several times to point out the sights and explain. Overall, we were disappointed with the tour.

Die 75 Minütige Bootstour ist leider nicht mehr im Programm und wurde zum gleichen Preis in 60 Minuten ausgeführt. KINboat der die Touren durchführt hat uns dies vorher mitgeteilt und uns als Entschädigung ein Getränk ausgegeben. Das Personal am Bootssteg war sehr freundlich. Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist die Hilfsbereitschaft u Kompetenz von Chris. Jim, der Bootsführer wusste mit seinem Insider-Wissen zu überzeugen.
