Our tour guide Evans clearly loves his job and has incredible knowledge of the history of Charleston, as well as the current goings-on of the historical real estate downtown Charleston! We did the 9:30am tour, and fortunately it was mostly shaded, but still VERY hot! But still glad we did it; certainly would not have discovered the plethora of historical facts ourselves. The all inclusive ticket was the gateway to a variety of educational experiences for the mind and spirit. Several presentations were included . We particularly appreciated the presentations about Gullah culture, the harrowing experiences he BCD of the enslaved people and the tractor tram tour of the huge working farm.

The ferry ride to and...

The ferry ride to and from Ft. Sumter was a lovely part of the experience. We got an overall sense of the harbor and surroundings that the fort protected and why is it was so important during the Civil War. We saw lots of pelicans, butterflies and dolphins during the visit. That was fun.

Excellent tour. Our guide (I don’t remember his name) was extremely knowledgeable while also being very entertaining and personable. We took this same tour a few years ago and loved it then too. We learned all new things this time though. Mac was our horse and we would 100% take this tour again (for the third time!) and highly recommend it.

Great experience for a group of 12!

We had a wonderful experience on our Charleston French Quarter food tour! We had seven food tastings, which were all excellent choices! Our guide, Perry, was excellent and made the whole experience very fun for our group! As we walked to each place he would give us some good Charleston history along the way. He also text us the morning of the tour giving us all of the information that we needed to meet him and we found him easily. After the tour was over, he even sent us more information on the places we visited. This is a great way to see the downtown Charleston area and very fun for our group of 12! Thanks Perry and Viator for a great time!

Harbour Narrated Tour

Enjoyed the harbor cruise!! It was educational, funny, and felt oh so short.. 1.5hrs went by so quickly, and our guide/captain explained so much of charleston's history to us. He showed us Fort Sumter, Sullivan's island, explained the history of the Arthur Ravnel bridge, to name just a few of the points of interest. I highly recommend this tour.

Great time

It was a little difficult finding the boat but once we did, we had a great experience. The crew was just talkative enough but we were still able to relax in the sun. Bathroom on the boat was clean and in orderly fashion and we couldn't have asked for a better day to be on the water.

I’ve been on ghost tours...

I’ve been on ghost tours all over the United States, and Brandon’s tour was truly unbelievable. We got lucky enough to be the only two people on the tour because it was one of the hottest weeks in August, but Brandon still showed up and gave us an incredible experience. What made the tour so special was Brandon’s knowledge of Charleston’s history. It felt like we were getting a ghost tour and a fascinating history lesson all in one. Every time we had a question, he enthusiastically took the time to answer it. Brandon clearly loves what he does, and it shows. He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel so well taken care of throughout the entire tour. We couldn’t stop talking about everything he showed us and about Brandon himself! I would absolutely recommend his tour to anyone visiting Charleston. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

So much fun!

It was really interesting learning about Charleston’s haunted history, and the carriage ride was a really fun way to explore the city. I loved seeing all the old buildings and historic cemeteries along the way. Charleston has so much history, and it’s so cool hearing the stories behind some of these places. The tour wasn’t scary at all, which makes it great for families with kids. My 9- and 15-year-olds both loved it and stayed engaged the whole time. Charleston is so beautiful, and getting to experience some of its history from a horse-drawn carriage made the visit even more memorable. I definitely would’ve loved another 30 minutes!

Sarah is amazing!!! (And deserves a raise 😉)

I went on this tour (07/02/2026; 9:00 PM) with my partner and our 13 year old daughter and it absolutely did not disappoint! Our tour guide Sarah was phenomenal! She was knowledgeable and witty. On the way home, I told my partner that I did not appreciate how he was constantly tugging at my mini backpack, only to find out that it was not him and was more than likely Lavinia’s presence. He admitted to feeling Animal’s presence as well and thought I was tugging at his shirt tail. We will definitely be back!
