Itinerary
Be ready for morning pickup at your Sedona of Flagstaff hotel. Climb into a comfortable tour vehicle with your guide and group, then settle in for the ride through Oak Creek Canyon, widely known as one of the most scenic byways in the United States.
Pass through Flagstaff and check out the lava flows at the base of Arizona's youngest volcano, Sunset Crater. Continue to see some Native American ruins at Wupatki National Monument, where you can get a peek into the daily lives of the area's earliest residents.
Drive down to the Cameron Trading Post in the Navajo Indian Reservation, passing the colorful cliffs of the Painted Desert on the way. Eat lunch in the dining room, overlooking the Little Colorado River gorge, then shop for some souvenirs before heading for the main attraction: the Grand Canyon itself.
Visit both the East Rim and the south Rim for photo ops, learning info about the history geology, flora and fauna about the natural environment. Stop in the Grand Canyon Village, Kolb Studio, and the Grand Canyon Railroad Station.
Your full-day tour ends with hotel drop-off.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) had the best day on this tour. We appreciated the comfort, flexibility, regular bathroom stops, and insider photo vantage points that this private tour offers. As first time visitors, we wanted to remove the stress of navigating and see/learn about the Grand Canyon together. The stops along the way made this tour even more special. It is a long day, but leaving early and being some of the first people at Wupatki was totally worth it. Such a beautiful and reverent place, and we had it mostly to ourselves. We also LOVED driving through the Sunset Crater area and seeing the incredible volcanic formations. Cameron Trading Post was delightful, with great food and amazing treasures made by native artisans. Our guide, Rasa, was knowledgeable, professional, and thoughtful. He helped our younger child, who is afraid of heights, feel comfortable the whole time we were around the Canyon. He also took us just slightly off the beaten path for wonderful photos in front of the Canyon, without throngs of people in the background. The other guides kept stopping him to wish him well, and to tell us we had the best guide. We didn't disagree! In response to another review, Rasa did talk a lot, but he consistently checked in with us to ask if we wanted him to continue or if we needed a break. He was so interesting and such a wealth of local knowledge that we didn't want him to stop! My entire family would wholeheartedly recommend Rasa and this tour company.

It’s really one the best ways to not just explore the canyon but surrounding sites and local areas. Also, with a guide as knowledgeable as our - Rasa- you’ll be able to learn about its history, formations and pretty cool facts about the canyon and it’s surrounding.

Rasa was a wonderful guide and gives a thorough history of the canyon as well as lots of stories while you journey to the canyon and back.
The canyon itself is amazing and the views are like those I have seen in pictures and the movies. Rasa made sure to that we had the total experience and took photos for us as well.

It was a huge disappointment. Our tour guide talked much more about Hollywood stars and movies than he did about the flora and fauna and geology of the Grand Canyon. We even stopped to listen to another guide to learn something about our stop. For almost $900, this was a big mistake on our part for choosing this tour group.

Al, our tour guide was super informative about everything/everywhere we encountered throughout our trip. We learned so much about the area! He was a great driver too. The tour itself was great! Spectacular views everywhere! We highly recommend this tour.
We were a family of 6 adults and all 6 of us rate our private Grand Canyon tour as the best experience of our very fun filled Arizona trip. Our guide Stevee was incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating, and so much fun. He was able to keep us on time to maximize what we could see without ever making us feel rushed. Stevee just seemed to know when to step back and let us quietly take in the indescribable experience of the Grand Canyon and when to join in with information or suggestions. He was always there when we needed him, but never intrusive, and he was friendly and helpful not only to our family, but also to other visitors around us. He also took photos of us throughout our day so we have those memories well documented. The Grand Canyon is absolutely something you need to experience for yourself. No picture can do it justice and no one can describe it to you. It definitely gives you a new perspective. I am so glad we decided to book the private tour. There is no way we would have managed to do and see so much if we had tried to do this on our own (Bonus: the private tour also takes you to 2 other National Monuments on your way). This was a very special experience for our family. Seriously, just make room in your budget for this. It is absolutely worth it.

Epic experience. The views were amazing. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. We made a few scenic stops on the way, and my crew was the best. I was a solo traveler, however felt like I was with a group of friends I've known my whole life.

This trip was great! Our guide, Brian, was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the history and geology of the area. He was a lot of fun and enjoyed answering everyone’s questions. The Grand Canyon is, of course, breathtaking and we had multiple viewpoints to see it from. The pace of the tour was also good. We had enough time at each location and never sat for too long between stops. I highly recommend this tour!
Although it’s a long day, the scenery and information cannot be beat. We would recommend this highly. Loved our tour guide, Rasa. He knew so much and shared it well.

This was a great small group experience. Van was comfortable, water was provided and there were enough comfort stops. Our guide Brian was very knowledgeable and informative, and easy to listen too. A long day but a worthwhile trip to see a beautiful part of the country.
Well organized. Great stops at Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monument. Lunch at Cameron Trading Post was delicious. Try the fry brea!. Had plenty of time at Grand Canyon. Jeff was great and knew how to get the best pictures.
1. Tour guide/driver, Charlie, was exceptional!!!!
Charlie was very informative about the canyons, whatever sight we were experiencing, and added funny, personal insights and stories. He was courteous at all times. He kept us all interested while we learned about and experienced the Grand Canyon! He was humorous and witty, intelligent, warm, detailed, and on top of any and all situations that occurred.
If you go on this trip, ask for Charlie!!! You won’t regret it.
The tours consisted of information and sightseeing. No hiking. Some shopping available. All day, multiple sights. Do not worry about restroom stops. Very accommodating. Nice size van. 10 people.

Ezra was very knowledgeable regarding history, vegetation, best and frequent rest stops. He had a cooler filled with ice cold water. He was eager to answer questions. The van was comfortable and air conditioned.

Fantastic!!!! If ever there was a tour to be had to the Grand Canyon your guide has to be Sheldon. He made that tour an exceptional experience. His knowledge of the Canyon, surrounding ruins and Navajo Nation iare everything you need for this tour
Our guide, Ed, was simply amazing. His amicable nature coupled with his expertise of the area and professionalism helped to create a welcoming, fun, and educational experience for our family. We were a bit concerned about such a long day with our 8 and 9 year old children, however, the sites visited and the engaging information shared along the way made for a wonderful adventure that we will cherish for years to come. Rasa was like an encyclopedia! He was a fabulous tour guide. We saw everything we hoped to and enjoyed lunch. I’ve never shopped so fast but managed to find what I wanted to buy in the trading post.
It's a full day with lots of stops and things to see. Our favorite was the grand canyon. The guide was flexible about what stops we made and how much time w spent at each. Our guide, Sheldon, was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a great time!
