It took some patience to get the hang of kayaking. The view was amazing. It's such a beautiful place to tour. First time in Arizona. First time kayaking . Celebrated my birthday. Everyone was nice and informative about the area and history. This experience made my birthday most memorable.

This was so unexpectedly fun!!! The river was so peaceful and easy to traverse! The winery was great as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. We’d do it again for sure!
Second time for this experience. Very relaxing and the scenery is beautiful. My husband and I really enjoyed it.
Fun, relaxing self guided tour. Great for solo travelers,,staff was great and very informative. Wine was great finish.
The kayak trip was fun, but we finished in about an hour and 10 minutes and wished it was longer. We saw lots of wildlife along the way. We appreciated the relaxing atmosphere at the winery afterward, especially the live music.
I enjoyed the kayak and the winery was the perfect ending to the excursion! If you are physically able to manage I would recommend!
This was a beautiful ride down the Verde River. Since I was solo, Scotty (guide) went with me & he’s an amazing human! Great way to spend a hot day in Sedona!
This is a must do excursion. The river is awesome with many small rapids. There are also narrowing areas where you could only go through single file which added to the charm of the river. Beautiful scenery. The winery was also amazing. The sangria was fantastic and do try some food as it is delicious. You will be very happy choosing this experience!
2/5 Stars: Fun activity, but poor communication and safety concerns
While the kayaking was fun and the winery was a lovely stop (I especially appreciated their support for local animal shelters), the logistics were disappointing. We never met Scotty aka Young Jesus as advertised in their texts, and the photos they took of us at the beginning were very poor quality (didn’t matter to us in particular, but others might care). It seemed odd that no one communicated they wouldn't be there at the end to collect the equipment, leaving us to figure it out ourselves. Despite being a self-guided tour with absent hosts, we were bombarded with tip requests, receiving texts before and after specifying percentages, plus seeing multiple signs on-site. Furthermore, the transport van appeared to be missing a door, which felt very unsafe on public roads. It’s hard to justify tipping when the hosts are a no-show and safety feels like an afterthought.
The experience was great and I highly recommend this adventure. So much fun and our guide, Matthew was great.
Relaxing experience on the river, but I would have preferred if more than just the 20$ was towards wine tasting and food at the end of the experience. We were so worn out from the river we wished for the cost of both the kayaking and wine tasting was more evenly distributed. But overall it was a fun and relaxing experience.
Not difficult even if you have no experience on the water. The inflatable kayaks were easy to maneuver through mild rapids, the weather was great, and we enjoyed it thoroughly!
We were a little worried about the weather the day of our tour… But we ended up having a blast despite a little rain!!! Just enough easy rapids to make it fun with slower areas for relaxing!! Highly recommend this tour!!!
The kayak trip was a lot of fun! Our guide, Scot, was very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the wine afterwards.
Would definitely recommend this experience! We had such a fun time kayaking and the winery at the end was a plus !
Great time! Easy, relaxing float with enough “ripples” for some excitement! The girls working there were great!
We had a great time on this tour! Cold Sangria was delicious, and our guide Matthew was hilarious. Great time.
The river was pretty ,calm and the first time experience was fun with my husband. Nice photos after.
Great fun and good instruction! A great way to spend a hot afternoon. The winery was a nice way to finish the day - try the Petite Syrah and a pizza. Friendly helpful people all around!
This was a wonderful experience well organized, punctual and friendly team. Emily shared great tips and a little history of the vineyard. Highly recommend!
The river is gorgeous and tranquil. We did it in May and it was easily to navigate. The challenging part were more fun than hard.
They gave us water guns and that added to the family experience.
Would do it again.
Something to note: we have done a lot of kayak tours and they always have a guide.
This one is self guided. They do a good job of explaining the area.
My wife and I booked this kayaking trip because it holds special significance for us. However, we were surprised to learn that the $350 fee only included an hour and a half on the water, along with a $20 voucher per person at the winery. While this is described in the info, a $20 voucher does not get you very much at the winery. The winery also does not have a very big selection to choose from. Not the experience we were expecting. However, our driver was amazing and did a great job at explaining things!
A guide did not travel down the river with us. The back rest of my husband's kayak deflated. It was a slow and miserable trip. We were first time kayakers and were told we would not have any problems. I would not recommend this trip for newbies.
River fun with movies water in some areas. Staff helpful. This is a self guided tour so don’t expect them to come hold your hand.
John and his team were amazing. We had such a great time and floating the river was awesome. The wine was very good and the scenery was fantastic!
Super fun !! I was giving a life jacket and the water not that deep ! Definitely a good river for beginners
Scotty was an awesome guide! Kayaking on the river was our favorite thing from our trip and having a glass of wine and cheese plate after was amazing.
This self guided paddle through some short fast rapids was perfect. You can go fast or slow, up to you. We had a bonus sighting of a bald eagle❣️ Being from California, near wine country, the Alcantara wines were very surprisingly good. A great experience overall.
Matthew our guide was entertaining, gave us lots of advice and was clear on safety. The kayaking was just enough challenge to keep us on our toes, enough small rapids for some funand enough floating to take in the scenery! Saw some wonderful wildlife as well! Great way to kick off my wife's birthday weekend!
The winery afterwards was fantastic, wonderful wines and delicious pizza! We will definitely do this again! But won't forget to bring bug spray for some mosquitoes during the kayak.
This was the most relaxing but also fun kayak trip we have ever taken. Scotty was a great guide and gave us good information about the river. We did see a lot of ducks and an owl.
This was a great outing. Nice group, Matt was quite entertaining. So glad he was able to float with us. The winery after was a bonus. Would recommend to all age groups and will def do again!
