This Hummer tour exceeded all our expectations! It lasted just over three hours, and was the perfect length. It felt long enough to really experience the park's beauty without feeling rushed, and my wife and I found it be an excellent value for what we got. Our driver Tom was fantastic. His genuine enthusiasm for Joshua Tree was contagious, and his overall knowledge of the park really hightened our experience. What impressed us most was how attentive he was throughout the tour, regularly checking in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. You could tell he truly loves what he does, and that made all the difference. The tour included some light hiking that took us to a few stunning viewpoints we never would have discovered on our own. These were definitely the highlights of our visit and gave us a real appreciation of the park's unique landscape. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area and If our travels bring us back to Joshua Tree, we'll definitely be doing this again.

Very relaxed, comfortable, easy and informative way to take in the beauty of Joshua Tree National Park! The open top Hummer was a cool way to take in the park! The selection of music they play while entering was perfect added such a great vibe and literally gave me goosebumps!!

Need to be physically mobile & not have any back or neck issues… use the bathroom at the welcome centre before setting off as park bathrooms are just horrible …
We took the hummer tour from the Yucca valley welcome centre. Denise was such a personality, a great story teller and tour guide! The ride was very windy and bumpy (fun!). We made 3 stops in the park, focusing on the north/west side. Two stops were a short walk and view and one was a 0.4 mile easy trail, for all of which Denise covered history, geography, and plants and animals.
The tour is a brief overview, rather than a complete deep dive. It does not cover the entire park (it’s so huge), so we had to drive back in and see a few more of the key sites that were not covered by the tour.
Great introduction to Joshua Tree National Park in an open air Humvee with a knowledgeable and funny guide, Austin.
Ask for Tom! He was a wonderful guide. The trip was amazing. We can’t wait to come back. Tom’s playlist was spot on. A must see.

Tom, our guide, was super helpful and knowledgeable. I knew nothing about Joshua Tree National Park before the tour, so having such a knowledgeable guide was crucial. Did the tour on my own and Tom checked I was ok throughout the event.

We had an absolutely fantastic time exploring the Joshua Tree with Tom! He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about the geology, flora and animals of the park and was happy to share his knowledge and answer all our questions. I’m so glad we decided to take this tour. It was informative and Fun!! We learned a lot about the history of the park and the surrounding area. Toke a few short hikes with vantage points for photos and vista that were stunning. Would highly recommend. Tom our guide was knowledgeable and made the entire experience very enjoyable

If you've ever wondered "Why is a desert considered worthy of being a national park?" -- this Hummer Tour is for you! Our guide Tom was super friendly and knowledgeable. We went in the middle of July--yes, the middle of July and had the park to ourselves. The weather was exceptional. Yes, it was hot, but we're from Atlanta and Georgia summers are way worse than dry 99 degrees. Tom provided great stories, music, water, and a snack-- the scenery provided the rest. Don't hesitate to go. The money is well worth it.

The Joshua Tree National Park van tour was great from start to finish. Eddie our driver and tour guide was fantastic. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We stopped at great photo spots throughout the park. There were several kids on our tour and Eddie interacted well with them and made the tour interesting to them.

One of the best tours I have never been on. Austin was awesome, he had great communication, was on time, had amazing recommendations, and was extremely
knowledgeable! He was also super friendly and a great driver! Joshua tree was beautiful and we got lucky with the weather, making it a perfect day out in the desert. The hummer was so comfy and a blast to be in. Book this immediately!

What a beautiful place to spend the morning! The park is amazing and truly a testament of God's creation. Our tour guide, Tom, was the best. This was a great tour and adventure. Austin made the rides to and from, as well as the tour itself, informative, engaging and enjoyable. It was nice to stop at the visitor center as well. The stops on the tour were amazing, and Austin was a wealth of information.

There were 9 of us in the open air Hummer and, given the time it takes to get inside the park, the actual tour was a bit over 2 hours. So I felt the cost was high. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable and pleasant. When I question him regarding the southern end of the San Andreas Fault, however, his answer wasn’t accurate (as I looked it up later). The tour also felt rushed at times. The sights were lovely and more time for pictures, questions, etc. would have increased the value. Overall, I am glad I went but don’t know that I would recommend this tour.

Joshua Tree’s distances and travel times can sometimes surprise guests, especially on busier days, and your note about allowing more time for photos, questions, and stops is valuable feedback that we take seriously as we continue refining the experience.
Regarding the San Andreas Fault discussion, we always strive to provide accurate geological information, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Our guides are trained by the parks on desert Institute as well as our own PhD level geologist regarding the history of the park so we believe our guides have accurate information to share.
Our Tour Guide, Denise was great and very knowledgeable. She shared her insights on the plants and the history of Joshua Tree. I would highly recommend the tour.
