This is now our third time with this company! Amazing every time! Turtles swimming around us. Turtles basking in the sun! Even with flood water - it’s so fun! Easy to navigate as you have two ways to go. Up the river or to the ocean! My 8 year old rocked it and good for everyone young and old! Highly Recommended

Find us at the end of the Rainbow Bridge in Hale'iwa. You can park across the street from the Blue Planet Surf Shop on the gravel parking lot, go through the gate and head down to the riverside deck where we will help you launch. Please check the photos if you are not sure where to go.

What To Expect

Enjoy a relaxing paddling adventure on the Anahulu River on Oahu with a 2-hour rental of a stand-up paddleboard or single kayak. Relax knowing you’ll be safe with paddles, leashes, and life jackets all available.

Make your own way to the north shore of Oahu to the launch site in Haleiwa. Change your clothes in the customer restroom and store your gear in the lockers (extra fee). Basic instruction on paddleboarding and kayaking available upon request.

Get geared up and launch from the private launch area on the Anahulu River. Choose to go upstream or downstream or to paddle into Haleiwa Bay, and keep your eyes open for wildlife like turtles and birds.

At the end of your rental period, make your way back to the launch site, where hot showers are available.

So much fun! We were beginners and were given excellent instructions from Julie our guide. She made sure we felt comfortable and secure before launching. The river is beautiful and perfect for paddle boarding. Turtles swam all around us and it was fun watching the fish jumping. There is a rope swing that people swung and jumped into the river from. People watched and cheered as kids and adults showed off! Such a great way to enjoy the quaint little town on the North Shore of Oahu.

What a great find this was! We love eating and shopping our way through the North Shore but have never paddleboarded there. Found this while looking for a fun new adventure and so glad we did it! Our teens went out for a little less than 2 hours, paddled upstream and down to the mouth of the stream near Haleiwa harbor and they saw a ton of turtles! They wished they brought snacks but we had big Acai bowls after at Banzai Bowls. Love that you don’t have to haul the boards anywhere. You rent right on the dock and it’s a beautiful covered dock too! Cree was great at explaining everything to us and suggested coming in the morning next time to see more like manta rays too, plus less busy than the afternoon when we went. There were a few outriggers practicing out there so had to stay out of their way when they were racing. Fun to see though! Kids paddled for a little under 2 hours and that was plenty of time. Wished we had sent them with their phones in a waterproof case so we could just come back when they were done. We had drinks at Teddy’s, just a few minutes walk from there, while they paddleboarded, and checked from the bridge halfway through to make sure they hadn’t left yet. Thanks Cree! See you next time!

Paddling in Haleiwa

I reserved this experience because it was advertised as a GROUP EVENT. My nephew was alone and wanted to SUP with others. When we arrived he was given a Board and pushed into the river (which is horribly smelly and dirty) by himself. When I stated that I paid for a GROUP EXPERIENCE the young man said NOPE. I could have saved the $35 and sent him to POKAI’I BAY with my SUP Board for free. I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this experience.

We had an amazing time. The water is calm and we saw so many sea turtles. We were in Hawaii for a soccer tournament with my daughter’s team and after it was over all the girls and mom went paddle boarding for some group bonding. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure for whole group.

Relaxing, easy SUP up and back down river. Ate lunch on the river as we floated back. Look out for rocks if you go up river as you approach the second bridge. Saw three sea turtles on the river! Also saw a lot of birds and fish near shore.

River rain paddle

Had a great experience. We (my kids and me) weren’t sure we could master the paddle boards, but we did! It was a nice low key paddle down the river and back even though we got caught in a passing downpour. Going out into the bay was a bit trickier with the waves from the ocean/boats. The girl (didn’t get her name) at the launch/dock was awesome! Great at getting us set up and launched twice.

My husband, cousin, and I went together! We paddled up the river and got to see 2 turtles!! I asked for the guys recommendation if we should go up or downriver, and he said definitely up. Something else that was nice is we got there 45 minutes early and they let us start our reservation earlier! We set off on the river about 9:30 (original reservation at 10) and agreed to be back 30 minutes earlier. Overall, a great experience customer service wise!

Kayaks in good condition, lots of turtles! Ocean kayaking also great! Appropriate for all levels. Not much instruction on how to paddle, but we probably could have gotten instruction if we needed it. Overall highly recommended!
