The guide was amazing! He had a great sense of humor, was knowledgeable, and great manners... he made sure we all stayed safe on our stops and shared a lot of info. Him singing at the end of the tour was nice. The tour was great!

Great guide/driver. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Basically driving around downtown Anchorage pointing out points of interest. Good description of tidal bore. Tour stops were not very interesting - Ulu retail store was a typical gift shop.

Great experience with Prince, seeing the sights of Anchorage! Fun narration by a life long resident, and talented guide.
Katleho_R, Mar 2026
Our tour guide was super funny and helpful. He answered all our questions with a smile and made sure to keep us all safe from the snow and ice. He also made sure to keep us laughing and kept us interested. Thank you.
We did not get to see the tall snowman so i did not give a 5/5 stars for that.

Our tour guide, Ean, was awesome and very entertaining. He described and explained the places very lively. I didn't give the tour a 5☆ coz we didnt cover all the places that was on the itinerary, we didnt get to meet SnowElla, Anchorage’s 25-Foot Snow Lady, and didnt visit Alaska Sausage and Seafood Company, which I was looking forward to see how they smoke the salmon. But still got to enjoy the short tour.

There aren’t many touristy things to see in Anchorage proper, but Ian, who was our guide, made them interesting. He was knowledgeable and entertaining! Great tour!

Calvin_B, Jan 2026
It was a great experience. The guide Ian was hilarious and I don't think there was anything he didn't know about the history of Alaska.
Yolanda_M, Jan 2026
My tour was excellent. Ian is hilarious 😂. He made everyone feel welcome in our small group. Even for someone like me who was a solo traveler. We had all the stops. It was nice to have a driver and he knows a lot of history about alaska and just history in general. I would definitely do this tour again!
Jenny_D, Jan 2026
Tour was informative and interesting! Tired guide was funny and included everyone. Would definitely recommend especially on a cold winter day.
Aurora_R, Jan 2026
The tour guide was a great guide. He was funny and kept the tour interesting. Dress warm if you plan on getting out at the stops because it gets chilly outside.
Daphne_M, Dec 2025
We really enjoyed this tour. Prince was extremely knowledgeable about every area we visited. His tour was engaging and informative, and he truly brought each location to life. A special highlight was when he serenaded us with the Alaska National Anthem, which made the experience even more memorable.
Diana_T, Dec 2025
Interesting but also boring. Our tour was short 40 minutes.
Saw some things had no interest in, driver was friendly but also annoying.
Kearny_C, Dec 2025
Wonderful travel, our guide was charming and full of life! Made everyone laugh and had amazing back stories to the history of Anchorage and the state of Alaska! The tour is a great way to kill a few hours and kick back while trying some reindeer sausage!
You are also allowed to get off the bus at stops and take photos with family and friends, I will highly recommend this tour given the price. You will not be disappoint.
PS: Our tour guide is a Denver Broncos fan so if you like the Raiders, stay away! Haha only kidding, but I myself am I broncos guy so Go Broncos!
Enjoy everyone! 👍🏼

It was an excellent city tour of Anchorage. Our tour guide, Prince, was very informative and he had a great sense of humor. We got a good sense of the history and culture of Anchorage and took some beautiful pics. Prince's singing of the Alsakan State song at the end of tour was touching and a good finale to our tour experience!

Hey Nathan,
Now that’s the kind of review that puts a big ol’ smile on our faces—thank you! We’re so glad you got to roll through Anchorage with Prince. He’s basically a walking (and singing) history book with a killer sense of humor. Sounds like you got the full experience: culture, laughs, and a side of stunning photo ops. Thanks for spending part of your day with us—next time you're in town, we’ll have a seat saved just for you!
kimie_l, Mar 2025
What we DID get to see of the tour was pretty kool! There were two places that was supposed to be in the tour that we paid for but didn’t get to go to for some reason! The Medical Center Gift Shop & the Chocolate Fountain. Someone on the tour asked about this and was told it was out of the way. :( That was pretty disappointing. But overall it was a good tour. I personally enjoyed walking on the ice on Lake Hood! History of Anchorage was explained really good. Enjoyed the details of the earthquake that shaped Anchorage. That was pretty fascinating!
I’d recommend to others IF everything described on the website was going to be adhered too. It’s not an overly expensive tour but I’d like to get the results of what I invested in. :)
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you for taking the time to leave such an honest and thoughtful review—we truly appreciate it. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed parts of the Winter City Tour, especially Lake Hood and learning about Anchorage’s earthquake history (those stories really do help paint the picture of how this city came to be!). That said, we’re really sorry about the disappointment with the Medical Center Gift Shop and the Chocolate Fountain. You’re absolutely right—if something is listed on the website, guests should be able to count on it. We’ve since adjusted the tour route slightly for winter efficiency, but we understand how frustrating it is to miss something you were looking forward to. Your feedback is being shared with our team so we can better communicate those seasonal adjustments going forward. Thank you again for joining us, and for recommending the experience with such kindness despite your concerns.
Blake_V, Mar 2025
You should bring snacks and water because people complain about the tour being during lunch. There isn’t a snack pit stop.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thanks for joining us and for sharing this helpful tip! You’re also right about the timing—we don’t currently include a snack stop, and your note is a good reminder to suggest guests bring something along if they’re joining us around lunchtime. We appreciate you riding with us and helping others get the most out of their visit. Thanks again!
