Meet your guide in Downtown Anchorage prior to your morning start time. Learn about Alaska’s rich cultural heritage from your guide as you make your way to your first stop at Ship Creek, where you can watch salmon running upstream for much of the year.
Pass by important Anchorage landmarks like Earthquake Park and Lake Hood on your way to your next stop, Alaska Wild Berry Products. Watch a 20-foot (6-meter) tall chocolate waterfall tumble toward the ground.
Next, continue to Alaska Sausage and Seafood, where you can sample northern delicacies such as smoked salmon and reindeer sausage. They can pack it for traveling if you want to buy some to take home.
Then, continue to the ULU Factory, where you can watch traditional knives being made and learn how to use a ULU knife and cutting bowl. Finally, complete your tour at the Point Woronzof viewpoint, where you can see the city skyline, Cook Inlet, and the glacier-capped peak of Mt. Denali.
Return to your hotel or any other specified point in downtown Anchorage at the end of your tour.

Nothing really interesting. It looks like this is a trip for the chocolate and knife factory.
Parking is an additional expense, the tour operator does not offer free.
Great way to see and learn about the history of Anchorage. Our tour guide Gary was excellent. He immediately welcomed us and encouraged us to ask questions. The stops and tastings were great. Really enjoyed this adventure.
Great tour, you learn so much about Anchorage and our tour guide Gary was so helpful with recommendations. Definitely recommend! Wish we had booked earlier in my trip.
Gary was amazing. He is the consummate host who is full of wonderful information about Anchorage and all of Alaska. You can tell how much he loves this incredible state. This tour was very informative and entertaining and we all thoroughly enjoyed!! Highly recommend taking the tour of Anchorage with him!!

Yes, we do have minimums required for our tours to operate. This particular tour is also one that is very likely to sell out. However, during shoulder season, when the number of tourists decreases, availability can be more hit or miss.
In any case, this is a popular tour, so stating that it is likely to sell out is not misleading.
Vao was a great tour guide, but the stops, with the exception of the Turnagain Arm, were underwhelming
I agree with previous reviews, felt just taken to places to purchase items.
Van was filthy inside and out.

We’re sorry to hear that you felt the tour was primarily focused on shopping. However, we’d like to clarify what is actually included in the experience.
Our tour takes you to the largest chocolate waterfall in the world, Alaska Sausage & Seafood, where you can sample four types of smoked salmon, reindeer sausage, and halibut, as well as see the world-famous ulu knife at the Ulu Factory, which is a piece of Alaska’s history in itself.
The tour also includes plenty of sightseeing, including Earthquake Park, a scenic overlook with views of the Anchorage skyline, the Talkeetna Mountain Range, Denali and Sleeping Lady, Lake Hood, and the spectacular Turnagain Arm. You’ll also visit the Beluga Point area and Falls Creek, with opportunities to see Dall sheep and beluga whales.
There are opportunities to purchase local products along the way, but purchasing anything is completely optional. You certainly don’t have to take out your wallet to enjoy the sights, scenery, tastings, and experiences included in the tour. We certainly don’t consider this a shopping trip, and we’re disappointed that this was your impression of the experience.
As for the van, we’re sorry you found it to be less than satisfactory. The vehicle you were in was on its second trip, and the weather during your visit was often rainy, which can unfortunately make it difficult to keep the exterior spotless throughout the day. Our vans are less than three years old and are cleaned daily.

A wonderful tour of numerous highlights of the city. Our guide Gary was extremely informative, and went above and beyond to assure we all had a great time. We saw Denali, a black bear, tasted salmon, reindeer and chocolate. We learned about the history of Anchorage, as well as the 1964 earthquake and more! Highly recommend this tour.
The best time to view beluga whales is late afternoon/early evening so book your tour for the afternoon.

Interesting trip around Anchorage. We saw many things and especially loved the Sausage made from Reindeer. It took about 3.5 hours and was well worth the time and money. Our tour guide was a true eskimo and let us know it was ok to say Eskimo. I loved her personality and charm. Thanks for the tour

Matt was a great guide. He shared lots of information about Alaska’s culture, salmon fishing, and float planes. We saw a mama moose and 3 of her babies on a tour. Recommended it to everyone.
Our tour got off to a late start because of some vehicle troubles, but Gary—our guide—more than made up for it by giving us nearly four hours of exploring. He was wonderful, sharing Anchorage’s history, local insights, and plenty of fun stories along the way.
This was a fun and informative tour! Our tour guide was grest! She was extremely kind and full of information about the sights we saw. We got to see many different areas and I learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour!
Melissa was an excellent guide. Native Alaskan. Very friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable and helpful. 14 in our van was a nice size. Total of 8 points of interest. Allowed to get off at 5 I think. Time at each stop was about 10 - 20 minutes which was just right.
Our tour guide Gary gave us the best time possible, learning about Anchorage. He was knowledgeable, kind and generous with his information, all while driving us to several key highlighted stops. The Ulu Knife Factory, Alaska Sausage and Fish Company, (true to his word, the smoked Halibut was amazing), Alaska Wild Berry Products and several other points mixed in with these. We had a delightful afternoon.
Once in a lifetime experience! Garry is awesome, he is armed with knowledge about historical facts and the everyday hustle and bustle of daily life in Alaska. Kudos !

The sausage and salmon we tasted on this tour were delicious, but otherwise this tour wasn’t for us due to the vague, limited local knowledge of our tour guide. There are more interesting ways to spend your afternoon in Anchorage.
This tour is so worth it! Melissa was great, very knowledgeable about the history of Alaska esp Anchorage, so mellow and on time. We spent enough time on each stops with plenty of time to take pictures.
