Great Dark History Tour

Andrea was a wonderful guide! Was very knowledgeable about not just the sites we visited, but Roman and European history in general. He gave a great overview of the context that helped me understand different things. If I went these places by myself, it would have been cool; however I feel like I'd be more prone to saying "oh cool, a hole in a tunnel where bodies used to be." Having all the context and historical information really makes the experience in my opinion. It was also nice not to have to worry about transportation. I went on a Sunday, so I got to miss the Basilica and got more time in the crypt and catacombs, which I highly recommend!! There are a ton of churches in Rome and I feel like the bone crypt/catacombs are a more unique experience.

Great option for last-minute tickets to the Colosseum

This was an outstanding option for last-minute tickets to get into the Colosseum, forum, and Palatine Hill. We hired our own guide who took us on the tour. It can be very difficult to get into the Colosseum at the last minute. This was a great option. People at the office where we picked up the ticketswere very helpful.. we had the option for the audio guide.

Excellent tour

Our host Lara was excellent. Her communication was great from texting to call when we were running just a few minutes behind after dinner. Her knowledge of Roma and its history makes the experience so much more enjoyable. her patience with the audience was excellent. She’s a history buff and that is what makes the experience above par. highly recommend her.

Great experience worth every penny

Maggie was a great tour guide with a vast of knowledge on all areas that we walked, even when some of the areas were unplanned due to how busy it was. The queue jump was well worth it given the speed of getting in compared to those queueing. We even got to take a shortcut to the Sistine chapel which looked to be closed but maggie is an employee of the Vatican City so security let us through. It was a great experience and well worth the money.

Best time in Rome for the evening!

Amber and Bobby(guy who can fix everything!) were wonderful! Felt like riding around with friends and family who just knew everything about the city, including recommendations of places to eat and just how beautiful David is! 🩷 best way to spend an evening with a spritz seeing the sites!

Andrea was awesome!

Andrea was great. He knew SO much. He picked amazing things to discuss as he was open about not trying to overwhelm the group but if you had a specific question he would be more than happy to answer. He was just the right amount of comedic relief and intense passion for the tour. I recommend the last tour of the day for sure! It was amazing to avoid the crowds!

The opportunity and experience of a lifetime !

Be prepared for an experience of a lifetime from a guide with more information than most university professors. There are a few physical requirements for walking the entire tour, heat during the summer, uneven footing throughout and stairs plus loud crowd noise. These are minor inconveniences for the experience but should be considered. DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME, JUST DO IT ! If you are lucky enough to have Georgia as a guide it is a double bonus!

Fun experience

A lovely and fun experience. Tour guide Ivan was knowledgeable and made the tour fun and interactive. He also answered our questions. I didn't realise the tour had come to an end until we reached the endpoint. A Big plus was the view of the sunset by the bridge at Castel Sant'Angelo (meeting point).

Sharon is the best tour guide we’ve ever had
