What are people saying about Newport

Fun Tour
Fun and lots of backstory about the history of Newport. Kyle or tour Director was full of stories and very funny. We went to places we never would’ve found if we hadn’t had a tour like this. Driving around Newport with your own car just would not work.

Don't miss this tour!
This was seriously one of the best food tours we've been on, and we have been on many. Jack was our guide, and he was awesome! We had really, really good food on this tour. It would be impossible to say which stop was my favorite. Drinks were included, and they were wonderful as well. Jack was such a great guide. We had a blast and feel like he's a friend now. We got tons of recommendations for restaurants for the rest of our trip as well.

Great tour, great team.
A great way to see Newport from the perspective of the water. Beautiful. Seating is comfortable & provide great views. Bathroom on board if needed. The guide was informative and entertaining. The greeter in the booth at the pier was FANTASTIC. Had to reschedule our reservation- the person on the phone - she was fantastic as well.

When you book online, you...
When you book online, you will need to check in at the kiosk to obtain boarding passes. Plan a few minutes to get to the front of the line if you want to sit at the front outside area of the boat for unobstructed views and pictures. The tour narrator was very knowledgeable and funny. This was our first visit to Newport. We are so glad we took this tour.

Fantastic way to experience Newport!
Lovely experience! It was great to see the crew navigate through the wharf and work the sails. The captain and crew were very personal and professional, chatting with guests and answering questions. Special shout out to Hope, who was willing to help us with a special request to help us with our t-shirt photo contest!
The drinks options for purchase were nice, with a wide selection and you could purchase tickets ahead of the cruise, which was helpful.
This turned out to be the favorite part of the trip for a number of people in my party. Highly recommend.

Great experience and wonderful crew
The crew was wonderful. The trip itself felt a bit short and we were really far away from the mansions from the sea. I would still recommend since being on the boat was so fun, but adjust your expectations if you were hoping to see some of the mansions from the water

Fantastic tour!
Wonderful experience! Our tour guide/driver Ray was fantastic! He is a local born in Newport and sprinkled his very informative tour with personal antidotes as well as info about the Gilded Age tv show. The 3 hours passed quickly; there was plenty of time to tour the Breakers mansion. Definitely recommend the tour and Ray!

Our driver/guide was...
Our driver/guide was fantastic. Unfortunately we can’t remember his name but he grew up in Newport and is a retired history teacher. In addition to being a font of local history, he showed us several beautiful spots in Newport (state parks and such) that are free to visit and have parking.

A perfect sis set cruise weather notwithstanding
What promised to be a dreary evening due to the inclement weather, turned out to be a perfect sunset cruise. Highlight was the cruise guide ( whose name somehow eludes me) who was hilarious, knowledgeable and made the evening well worth it. A beautiful sunset and rainbow at the end was the icing on the cake

Despite limitations, sailing is best
It is wonderful to go on a sailing as opposed to motor tour, granted we were only able to beam reach for a short interval, the wind conditions not suitable for a tour with an itinerary and a time schedule, just to watch the crew actually SAIL the vessel was a real treat for someone whose experience of sailing is mainly limited to Sunfish and the like on inland waters. The crew were kind and charming; they certainly were enthusiastic about setting up the bar, I only wish my age and medical condition allowed me to thus gain further enjoyment from the journey. I only wish we could have seen more houses, but obviously we had a timetable, and were mostly becalmed throughout. Nevertheless I do not regret sailing at all--there is something magical about being on the water with no sound but that of the wind and waves, a timeless realm that disappears once the engine starts.

Wonderful Newport Sailing Experience
Great experience. The crew was so friendly. The perfect cool down for a hot summer day!! Easy check in process, right on schedule day of, great drink offering. The crew did point out some attractions along the way but really just let everyone enjoy the time on the water.

Had a great time!
The boat only goes fast for a few minutes so you’re only cold then. We loved the stories about who owns the fancy boats and how much they’re worth! And the educational info about the hurricane. It was the perfect amount of time too, not too long but didn’t feel short either. I think my favorite part was learning about Ida!! Such a heroine!
