Top Newport Bus Tours

What a fantastic experience! My husband, mother, and I had the pleasure of exploring Newport with Peter, and I can’t imagine a better way to discover this beautiful, historic city. Peter was absolutely wonderful! Born and raised in Rhode Island, he brought an incredible depth of knowledge, wonderful stories, and a genuine passion for Newport’s history to our tour. What made the experience particularly special was the way he walked us through the evolution of Newport, from its earliest founding through the Victorian era and into the extravagance of the Gilded Age. As we explored the island, Peter connected the architecture, historic neighborhoods, magnificent mansions, and stunning coastal scenery to the people and events that shaped Newport. It wasn’t simply a tour of beautiful buildings (although there were certainly plenty of those!). It was a fascinating journey through history, filled with interesting details, colorful personalities, and stories that brought everything to life. Beyond his knowledge, Peter was incredibly personable, engaging, and an absolute delight to spend time with. The conversation flowed easily, we learned so much, and we genuinely had fun every step of the way. If you’re visiting Newport, I can’t recommend this experience highly enough. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or simply someone who enjoys discovering the stories behind a destination, spending time with Peter is an absolute treat. Thank you, Peter, for making our visit to Newport such a memorable one!

Worked so good! You don’t have to worry about clicking on anything, it knows where you are and starts playing when you get to the spot. So even if you stop (we did to take pictures) or go down a different road to see something that catches your eye (we did that too) as long as you get back on the route it started up again all by itself!

Lady Ella was an amazing tour guide with a vibrant personality and great knowledge about the history of Newport and its elite Gilded Age families and their homes. The bus was comfortable and her historical references were funny and informative. We loved her appropriate attire for the Gilded Age time period, Whoa! 😊
