The crew was very friendly and informative. We enjoyed the tour snd will do again on our next trip. Captain Jack D and Nicole made the trip feel safe, and provided lots of whale facts. Along with some island history culture. I just wish I remembered which whale tracking app Nicole said she was using.

Sea Maui is the absolute best!!!! Our family of five, including three kids ages 7, 10 and 12, took the half day snorkeling tour yesterday (May 2, 2026) and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The breakfast and lunch were delicious and plentiful, drinks of all types were free flowing, the crew was top notch (on it! And super fun!!), the captain took us to two different snorkeling spots with about 2 total hours in the water, and we sailed our way back in. Some people stayed aboard at stops while others were in the water the entire time…this is a fun tour regardless of your age and experience level in the water. They provide everything you need, including gear and instruction, and they take you to safe, calm waters. We had the added luxury of dolphins swimming beside us, which was a treat! There was a kind photographer on board with no pressure to buy the photos, but I’m so grateful he was there to capture our amazing memories!!! I cannot over recommend Sea Maui…we’ve done many family excursions from Alaska to Hawaii to California to Mexico, and this tour takes the cake. It was perfect!!! Absolutely wonderful. Even got a little rain. Ranch hands are so kind and helpful. They took care of my 8yo making sure she was safe and having fun. Horses were fun and silly. Views were beautiful. Absolutely worth every moment. Also they have cats and a Mr. Pig and lots of peacocks!

WOW!!! Hands down the best experience of my life!! It’s always been a dream of mine to swim with sea turtles and John made that happen. 100/10 experience and will definitely be doing this again when we come back to Maui! John was excellent in showing us the ropes of kayaking and made it super fun and easy. If you’re thinking about snorkeling, do it!!

We secured this experience through Viator, which remains our go-to platform for booking activities while traveling. We were staying in the Kapalua Bay area, and the drive was roughly 14 minutes from our resort. The location is a bit tucked away, but the directions provided are accurate — I just didn't review them carefully enough beforehand. Entirely on me. Upon arrival, the staff was welcoming and efficient. Check-in moved quickly, waivers were handled without any fuss, and we were walked through a safety briefing before heading out. They also offer an optional video package filmed with an Insta360 camera mounted to the UTV — worth considering if you want to capture the experience without worrying about your own gear. The tour itself is two hours through lush jungle terrain, and if there's been recent rainfall, expect to get dirty. That's not a caveat — it's half the appeal. There are two planned stops along the route: one where you participate in a tree planting, and a second scenic overlook near the end where the guides share some history and context about the surrounding islands. It's a genuinely engaging touch that elevates this beyond a standard off-road excursion. Our guides were knowledgeable, personable, and clearly enjoyed what they were doing — which makes a real difference. This is an excellent activity for couples and families with older kids. Well-run, well-paced, and memorable.

The guides are all about providing a great trip down the volcano safely. Be prepared to go fast! Some in our group did not realize how fast 20-25 mph is on a bike and chose to sit out the second ride because of that. It is nice to have the whole lane to ride in versus just the bike lane. The scenery is gorgeous and the third trip through the town and fields was so much fun. Major kudos to our guides for leading such a big group down safely!

My wife set this up and she was nervous because she’s afraid of heights but our guides Cauly and Jackson with the professionalism and detail to safety, made her feel very comfortable . When we were at the highest poiint, Caitlyn ( yoga instructor) gave her some breathing exercises to calm her down. Zip lining was exhilarating but these experts made made this an unforgettable experience
