Amazing experience and even accommodated our delay

My sister and I had a wonderful time exploring the Acropolis sites and its museum. The group was about 20 people and we could hear our guide great the entire time. I believe our tour guide’s name is Marina. She was so amazing! Very friendly, happy and knowledgeable person who seems passionate about history. This made for such a wonderful time. She has photos and diagrams to show us historical context which is a great touch. I’d ask for her if I did another tour for sure! Be ready for quite a bit of walking, going up and down steep trails, and very uneven and sometimes quite slippery trails (largely made of marble, so people smooth it as they walk on it, to the point it’s like polished marble). Be careful and enjoy!

DONT USE Theodore’s Tours in Athens !!

Sabastian was an excellent guide - he was right on time and easy to find when we got off the cruise !! BUT, if you book this tour BEWARE or THEODORES TOURS there were 4 of us and they MADE us upgrade to a van instead of a sedan because we had luggage and they said it wouldn’t fit ! Which it totally would have .. Then we had to pay 150 euro up charge for the van .. This was all the night before the excursion so we were stuck .. I felt VERY taken advantage of !!! No other tour we did had an up charge for a van they all brought vans even if there were just two of us .. I would think a tour company should accommodate their passengers! Theodore’s TOURS seemed like a BIG rip off !!! We enjoyed the tour but the up charge that we were forced into was ridiculous!! Hopefully viator will use a different company from now on !!

Meteora is sn amazing place to experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The lunch was delicious, but the dinner was disappointing. I had salad and the greens were heavy with dressing and very wilted. It was an otherwise wonderful day.

Great tour of Santorini

Astri & Sara are amazing tour guides! It’s quite stressful getting up to the top of Santorini from the cable cars, but our guides made the tour itself so seamless. They brought us to all the great photo spots. We came with a group of 9, 2 toddlers. Sara was so friendly with the 2 littles. They knew so much history of the island & answered all of our questions. Towards the end they brought us to a local restaurant with amazing food! Thank you for such a great experience!

This was a well-organized experience. Our guide Natasha was awesome. She presented historic information in a way that was interesting and exciting. And she made sure each person in the tour group was accommodated as needed. She took us to the museum highlights so the visit there was not overwhelming. As the Acropolis was a bit crowded for October, it would be helpful for the guide to have a flag so he/she can always be located. I’d highly recommend this tour!

Bring your best walking shoes!

Bring your best walking shoes. Ancient stairmaster! Great time! Lot of climbing and walking. Be careful walking near the parthanon, saw so many people fall and hurt themselves. Other than that it was amazing. So much to take in. Our guide Marie was so knowledgeable and kind. Wish we had two days to spend time in museum. It was just overload at a certain point.

Everything we expected in the day!

After a shaky start because of rain in the morning, we were skeptical that this would take place and be enjoyable. We were so wrong! The weather cleared off, we swam, we ate, we took in the beautiful scenery and had an absolutely wonderful day. The captain and crew took exceptionally good care of us and fed us so well! The Driver was clever and knowledgeable about the scenery and fill us in on a few private spots that were not on other tours. A great day all around!

Another great Viator tour. Don't go to the Acropolis without it.

The whole reservation-check-in-tour experience was flawless. Easy to find the location of where to meet the group, instructions and reminders were sent frequently. Each attendee is given an individual headset so you can easily hear the tour guide and not have to jockey to be close by to hear. I could walk a little away from the group and still hear her speaking. The historical review went on a bit long, but was still very interesting. I had done quite a bit of research myself so I was familiar with a lot of the information - but for those that did not - it must have be very helpful. I would just cut the first stop by at least 5 minutes, it felt like we were standing for a long time. We had enough time to see each monument and the tour guide had great enthusiasm and answer all questions clearly. We added the museum tour which was fantastic. It is helpful to have pieces highlighted with the overall historical and art references. This tour felt like a base for our other museum tours. The time spent in the museum was perfect. I highly recommend Viator tours. We have not yet had one experience that was bad.

If you’re going on the...

If you’re going on the tour in the afternoon to try and get sunset photos, just know that will be very weather dependent. We had done the same but it was blustery and we had nice atmospheric pictures of the temple but none with a nice sunset. It was still a wonderful experience, we enjoyed sitting along the cliff and the view of the Aegean.

Great excursion with...

Great excursion with great food! The island of Aegina was beautiful. The lunch they served exceeded our expectations. Beer and wine flowed freely. We had the option to swim before lunch and to swim on the island of Agistri. It was a windy day but we had a great time!
