Great Experience for our Group

Excellent tour. We did the “with car” option. First, our driver, Peter, was excellent. He was knowledgeable but also shared stories about daily life in Greece. Took us around to see many of the local sights and told us how to get around with our hotel as a base. And our Acropolis guide, Betty, was also fantastic. Very interesting anecdotes and extremely knowledgeable about the museum and the Acropolis. She was very pleasant and answered all our questions. They both made it a wonderful experience for our group! One suggestion - you will not have enough time in the museum (which is super interesting and very well laid out). But your ticket is good for the day. You may wish to return to the museum once the tour is over to see more of the ruins or other items in the museum.

Fabulous culinary adventure.

Our guide, Dimitri, was enthusiastic and friendly, and made all twelve of us feel welcome from the moment we arrived at the meeting spot. He quickly learned everyone’s names, engaged us with interesting stories about the restaurants we visited and the origins of the food and beverages. It was a great opportunity to dive into Greek cuisine and traditional foods, especially as first time visitors to the city. It was a wonderful evening and Dimitri was a fabulous host and ambassador for his city. Highly recommend!

First tour= best time to go!!

Can’t recommend enough going for the first of the morning tour!! We were able to get amazing pictures without the crowds. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot!! Definitely recommend going with a guide to learn the history. By 9am the Acropolis was filled with large groups of people.

Greek food galore!

Joeseph was fabulous! He led us around an area near the Plaka neighborhood. We had so so much Greek food at local tavernas and restaurants. He gave us bits of history while guiding us safely through a lively part of the city. He engaged with everyone in our group telling us about the various dishes we were eating. Highly recommend this tour.

Fun way to explore Athens

This was an enjoyable way to explore Athens. The electric bikes were easy to use and helmets were available. George was our tour guide and he was entertaining and informative. We saw the Acropolis and other historical sites from various angles and also the changing of the guards from a good vantage point. The bikes enabled us to cover a wide area over a few hours. George also gave us tips on where to eat and we had a wonderful meal at Jimmy’s Fish in Piraeus as a result of George’s recommendation. Overall, a fun activity and good for getting your bearings at the start of your trip in Athens.

best foor tour in Athens

This food tour exceeded all our expectations and really does deserve all the 5 star reviews it has. The food we tried was varied, plentiful and delicious, the restaurants we stopped at felt very authentic and not touristy at all. The many fantastic shops and markets we visited were also a great experience and were an opportunity to both try and buy delicious local produce but also to better understand Athens and how the people there live. All the places we visited had been in business for multiple generations, which felt really special, and the produce was out of this world good. Our guide, Mike, was exceptional – both friendly and engaging. His knowledge of the area, the people, food and history are amazing and provided depth and insight to an already wonderful tour. The time really did fly by, but it did not feel rushed and I learnt so much about Athens and Athenian culture. I really am so happy that I chose this tour.

Next easy to do Acropolis

I chose the walking experience. I was admittedly nervous looking at the heights but this tour was perfect. Margarita did a great job telling Greek mythology stories, giving unique history facts while Ensign we made the trek at a leisurely pace. She pointed out great details. Anticipated questions and made everyone feel entertained.

If you’re looking for an active, informative tour, this is for you!

Wow! From start to finish, this tour was an active and informative experience; just what we were looking for! Kleanthis, our guide was excellent, getting to know all of us and personalizing the experiences as appropriate. We circled the Acropolis on ancient and (some) modern streets, getting a view from many perspectives and visiting many interesting neighborhoods along the way. Although there was some history involved, the emphasis of this tour was about the city of Athens with overviews of life now and in the past. We saw the guards at the presidential palace and “K-boss” shared the significance of the ritual. We even visited the stadium site of the first modern Olympics. So much to see and getting around on an ebike was fun. We felt safe and well taken care of. Highly recommended!

Great tour, best guide!

Solid tour with extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide Deppy. She was terrific explaining the history and mythical stories of the site, artifacts and museum. She was very conscious of safety, warning of possible slippery areas, and considerate to stop in shady areas to allow rests and rejuvenations before proceeding to next point of interest. Tour lasted well beyond published time, so bring comfortable shoes, water bottles, hats and your curiosity. You won’t be disappointed.

Best tour we have ever had.

Dimitris knowledge of the history of the Acropolis and Parthenon was amazing. As was his knowledge of the Parthenon’s restoration. He managed to our large group extremely well. His expertise carried on in the museum. My spouse and I have hired guides in other cities and none have had his breath of knowledge and great demeanor. I highly recommend this tour.
