Solo traveler - discovering the world one trip at a time!
I booked the cruise the night before the cruise. Arriving at the port and boat was an easy 20min walk from Taksim. The experience started with a live dance (whirling dervish) and light snacks. Once the boat pulled from harbor, dinner started 10min after, along with more live acts. The entire experience in the boat, food, dancing and entertainment were spectacular! Don’t forget to step outside from time to time to capture the beautiful scene and views from both sides (EU and Asia) side of Istanbul. My waiter was Adem which kept me informed of what was happening and kept my beer full. The manager of the boat was extra special and switched my seat from the back to a table that that was centrally located to the performance stage, Tuan was amazing and very accommodating

A Great Day In Ephesus
This was one of the best tours we have been on. Hati, our guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable friendly and professional. The tour visited all stops as outlined in the itinerary, we had plenty of time, no rushing about and well organised. We opted for lunch which was also delightful. I fully recommend this tour. Thank you Hati for a wonderful day

An Incredible Experience
We toured Istanbul for two days, July 14 and 15, with Hilal. She was amazing! Hilal is bilingual, has encyclopedic knowledge of her city, and took wonderful care of our family. She was always looking for shade when we needed to stop, or she was providing background information on a site. Her meal recommendations were excellent, and she was very accommodating about making sure we saw everything we wanted to see in the city. However, one of the best things she did was making sure taxi drivers didn't take advantage of us. When we needed a ride, she asked about the fare and went to look for another cab if she felt the price was unreasonable. We wouldn't have known the difference, but it mattered to her. It restores your faith in humanity when you find a someone 5,000 miles from home who cares that much for total strangers. This is the second tour I have booked with Viator (Segovia was the first and also excellent.) I would definitely recommend their services and hope you have Hilal as your guide if your choose this tour!

Great value, excellent tour guide
This tour was excellent. Sabit picked us up at our hotel (Park Hyatt) which was a bit from the main sites. He was incredibly knowledgable and passionate about history but was able to meet us where we were with our Turkish history for our first time in Istanbul. He was very flexible and offered many sights. In the morning we did the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cisterns. Then we had a nice lunch that was tasty and had good A/C for a little rest (very hot day in August!) We were debating going to the Topkapi Palace but once we realized how knowledgeable Sabit was we decided to go for it. It’s a much more extensive stop but we were able to do a significant part of it and see what we wanted with an engaged and informative guide. Then Sabit walked us to the Grand Bazaar and we did a quick walk through on our own and in the area. This tour is a great value for what you get. Sabit was flexible and clearly skilled in talking, letting us take breaks and knowing how to skip lines! He had all the insiders knowledge to cut some of the largest lines and get us in faster (especially valuable in the heat and summer crowds). He clearly loves his job and it shows in how the tour goes.

The former seat of civilizations ranging from the Romans and Byzantines to the Ottomans, modern-day Turkey embraces its storied past and dynamic future. Turkey tours can take you to cosmopolitan Istanbul, where locals commute to work across the Bosphorus Strait, or to Cappadocia, where otherworldly rock spires provide the backdrop for hot-air balloon rides. Ephesus, meanwhile, is hailed as one of the most entrancing ancient cities in the world. And don’t forget a scrub-down at a traditional Turkish hammam, which you’ll leave feeling as good as new.
