A must do! Such an incredible experience. Even if you’ve flown other places, this one is special. Hit air balloon with 26 other people was crazy but then your balloon was one of 100 flying over this beautiful countryside. Stunning views and Discover did it with ease. Yes, yes and again yes.

Loved it!! Well-priced and unforgettable. They provided us with breakfast, the hot air balloon ride was smooth and 45 minutes, plenty of time, and ended with a small treat too.
Only thing we didn't love was how my friend and I were separated in different parts of the basket, but we were still beside each other.

Flight time was supposed to be 1 hour, though we were only in the air for 35-40 minutes. I paid more for sunrise / first flight, though our balloon was one of the last to take off. Price is a bit much relative to what they provide.

The hot air balloon experience was really magnificent with experienced and friendly crew taking us everywhere near goreme and Uchisar. Furkan Ciptci was very skilled, and we enjoyed his hospitality, tea and snacks before and champagne after the flight. 10/10

The listing seems to suggest that there is potential for rescheduling. It explicitly states "This experience requires good weather. If it's cancelled due to poor weather, you'"ll be offered a different date or a full refund.". To the contrary, when our flight was cancelled, we were advised that bookings were for that specific day only and that the only option was a full refund. We ended up paying significantly more when rebooking. I'm perfectly fine with vendors setting their terms and conditions however they need to be clear and set expectations from the beginning, especially when people plan their entire trips around the balloons. Thankfully a different vendor was available on the following day and the weather cleared up. Please be more upfront.

Amazing experience! 2nd hot air balloon experience. Furkan was my pilot and he went low and high in the balloon and skillful navigated with the over 100 other balloons in the sky. I did have some concern being with 28 passengers in the balloon when my first one had 16 but it wasn't noticeably different. Definitely an experience of a lifetime. Don't skip out on doing this.

Too notch experience from start to finish. The pickup was on time, with details shared a day in advance, breakfast was filling and of good quality and the flight experience was incredible thanks to our pilot Muhsin. Couldn’t have asked for more.

So if you do your research you will see no shortage of balloon companies operating in the Cappadocia region, many at a cheaper rate than here. However, after doing my research, Discovery is one of the top companies in the region for a reason, their service from pickup to drop off is top tier. Plus, something like this is not the place to skimp on costs. We were picked up on time, shuttled to their nearby office where they have a nice breakfast spread and take the time to inform you details of the experience. From there they shuttle you to the launch location where you get to witness the prep and inflation of your balloon and all the others nearby. We quickly load into the basket and take off into a surreal hour of breathtaking beauty that words and pictures cannot adequately begin to describe. Our pilot, Alper and his team were super pros, as Discovery pilots and crew are held to a high standard in regard to their training and background. I don’t even like heights and was honestly nervous for this moment, but the feeling of weightlessness and stability you feel in the balloons is so strangely wonderful. No one in our basket was afraid, and everyone was having the time of their lives! After a too quick hour, you land and they have a champagne toast for all the riders and even provide you with cute certificates as souvenirs. It was so great I wanted to do it all over again when it was over. Cannot recommend enough! Spend the money for peace of mind.

It was perfect from beginning to end! So organized and professional! After pick up at our hotel, we went to a location where we were provided a small breakfast and then headed to the balloons. The guides and pilot were very kind, protective and gave great instructions! Always felt very safe and taken care of. The ride was absolutely beautiful of course! And champagne toast at the end was very nice!

It was an exhilarating ride. Everything was well planned on time. Pickup was promptly at 4 am from the hotel. Our pilot Eftal was very good. Both the take off and landing was very smooth. Views were amazing Sunrise was beautiful. A must do in Cappadocia

Breathtaking views and a must do experience! Service was wonderful from start to finish. Don’t let a fear of heights deter you. The ride is incredibly smooth- you don’t even feel like you are moving. My kids (13 & 10) loved it! We sank low into Love Valley and went high in the sky. Pilot did a great job of turning the balloon to make sure no matter where you are in the basket, you get to see everything. 1000/10 experience

Everything was well organised, the staff were friendly and professional, and our pilot made us feel safe throughout the flight. Watching the sunrise over Cappadocia was absolutely breathtaking, and the views were unforgettable. The smooth landing and attention to safety were impressive. This was the highlight of our trip, and I would highly recommend Discovery Balloons to anyone visiting Cappadocia.

This is a must to do in Cappadocia. We stayed in Goreme and we were picked up at around 4 am in the morning with a van. All very well organised. We had breakfast first then off we went to first see how the balloons were inflated. The light was about to come in the horizon. One climbs over in order to get in the balloon. For people with mobility issues I think this would be a problem and definitely not with babies or very young children. We were one hour in it floating about a huge area as we saw the beautiful sunrise and fairy chimneys. Breathtaking. Guide was very good. All went very smooth. I would highly recommend it with observations from above.

Be prepared to get a very early for the pickup. The tour starts with a quick cup of coffee and knosh and then out to a field where they inflate the balloons. You launch with a hundred other balloons at the same time. The basket is divided into sections of 3-4 people making you feel very safe and secure. My wife is scared of heights and yet when we took off so gently she never ever was afraid. The sunrise while you're up in the air and the view of the majestic terrain is breathtaking. One of the best activities we have ever done. Highly recommended!

It starts early and even though the weather seemed perfect, we almost didn’t take off due to wind factors we couldn’t see. Remember to temper expectations and try to plan for a re-do, just in case. Otherwise, discovery balloons was a very well run operation, clear communications, and would highly recommend.

Once we are up in the air, the experience was absolutely amazing. However, the process to get there I think could be improved. First, I was picked up at 3 AM and I wasn’t actually up in the air until almost 7 AM. I understand there are weather delays that happen often, but there was no need for us to go to another facility to have coffee and croissants for almost an hour. I just think that whole stop was completely unnecessary. I would much rather have slept in for an hour, then have some coffee and croissants. I also booked the sunrise tour but then received an email about the daytime tour and we ultimately did end up with the daytime tour even though I paid for the sunrise tour however, no flights went up for sunrise due to the wind. Despite not getting to see the sunrise in the balloon, it was still an amazing experience, and I would recommend it to anyone. If I were to do it again, I would’ve done it in a smaller group so that the number of passengers in the balloon was less. My balloon had 16 passengers, and it was quite tight, plus they had to pick me up so early because I was the first one picked up in the last one dropped off, which is just bad luck on my part.

This was an absolutely flawless experience, not to mention it was stunningly spectacular to see the fairy chimneys at sunrise. Discovery was first class all the way. The pilot Mulshin and his team were so professional and we felt so safe. The champagne toast at the end was the perfect way to end our experience. Book with Discovery.

The most surreal trip! We booked last minute the night before and we were fortunate that they closed at midnight, as we managed to book around 11pm. They were quick and efficient with their message which we were grateful for, coz we knew we had to leave early in the morning.
The driver was really kind and the quick breakfast stop was nice as well. Heading towards the hot air balloon area was unreal and our pilots were amazing! They were very experienced, gave clear instructions and were knowledgeable. Felt extremely safe the whole journey, the views were immaculate and the sunrise was a cherry on top!
Our driver gave us a great spot on the basket as he told us to wait so we can get on last to get the corner view, which again we were grateful for. He kindly took pictures of us before we took off, as well as others on the ride.
The leaving time for the balloon was spot on as we really got to enjoy the full sunrise and rose up when it wasn’t too dark.
Overall the company was amazing! We landed smoothly (better than most plane rides), the workers were quick and efficient, they gave us free champagne, cake and a certificate at the end of the trip!
I definitely would recommend booking with them and the experience was truly once in a lifetime!

Amazing, wonderful, beautiful. Can’t say enough good about it. Wish I could have slept in instead of driving to a danish and fruit breakfast before the flight but otherwise it was perfect. Our pilot was amazing and took us into the canyon so close to the chimneys! But please note the tip box at the end is for the ground crew that set up and take down the balloon NOT for the pilot and co- pilot, so if you would like to tip them do it separately.

They cancelled our flight due to weather but they couldn't rebook on any other 2 days we were there. That is not good customer service but it's the norm for these balloon rides.
So tip- hedge your bets if booking well in advance - book each day with different balloon company. Then check 5 day weather forecast before your ride and cancel other days and keep the day you want and can ride! All these can be cancelled 24hours before without charge.
Luckily our hotel did a great job and secured a ride the next day with another excellent company.
Would recommend the balloon ride but not sure about this Discovery balloons.
