Really glad we booked this tour. Ozan Sayin was fantastic! Super knowledgeable, very friendly, a great guide who made our experience unforgettable. Wish we could spend more time with this guy! Make sure to get the add-on for the Roman houses when purchasing tickets - he knew that place inside and out and made it well worth the extra entrance fee. Ease of transportation was a great value too.

Knowledgeable and informed and great at explaining the history and showing us places of interest we would not have found on our own. Had a beautiful lunch and saw some beautiful rugs being made as well as Turkish gemstones which were truly unique if you’re looking for that special item. Would highly recommend. Wonderful experience. Fatima was a very knowledgeable tour guide and a joy to be with. We had an emersion experience at Ephesus and a great experience at the Turkmen weaving school with a lovely lunch. Then stopped at St. John church. Our tour was flexible based on our interests and time. Fatima told us so much about Turkish culture, history and the arts. And good shopping tips too! We took this tour from our Viking Sky cruise ship and the logistics were very easy. Highly recommend!

Amazing tour, our guide Zeki was very friendly and accomodating. I couldn't imagine our Ephesus experience being the same without him, he had a very deep knowledge of the area and it really added to our experience and he's a great photographer. We really enjoyed seeing the traditiinal Turkish carpet weaving, though it got a bit intense with the pressure to purchase, at phenomenal prices, this does not reflect our tour guide who had stressed to us to not feel pressured before we went in and we do understand we are from a country where shop assistants are bored and pay us no attention 😆 so it may have felt more intense than it was. Overall 10/10. Thank you Zeki it was lovely to meet you from your new kiwi friends (see I did write the review as promised 😉).

We came in on the Norwegian viva and booked this private tour to Ephasis and St John’s church. Fatima was our guide and man did We strike gold by getting her. Her knowledge was incredibly impressive. We asked if she knew anything about the biblical history and she wowed us with her knowledge. She was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. We learned so much. It was easy to find them coming off the ship, the transportation was very clean and on time and overall, it was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this tour company . Iglesias tour turkey is the best! Do not miss it. More reasonable and personized tour we had!!!!

Our tour of Ephesus and its surroundings was magnificent. We had no idea the ruins were so plentiful and Josh’s explanations were truly enlightening. We would strongly recommend Josh as a guide for anyone who’s interested in touring and learning about these historical grounds. The only parts of the tour we could’ve done without were the leather showroom/fashion show and the hard jewelry sell at the rug makers. The rugs themselves were beautiful and we wound up purchasing one. But while filling out the paperwork, my wife was cornered and felt very uncomfortable by a jewelry salesperson which was totally unnecessary. It wasn’t the saleswoman’s fault - it’s the company which tried to squeeze more money out of us moments after committing to an expensive rug. This negative experience won’t sour our time with Josh but it definitely is something we’d caution other people to be aware of.

Nilay was a fabulous guide - she took us to Ephesus and was very knowledgeable of all of the ruins and told us all background stories. She then brought us to the rug cooperative where we saw the demonstration of rug making and learned about the cooperative. She then arranged an authentic Turkish meal with meze , main and dessert and was very aware of my husband’s celiac allergy and arranged for food that he can eat. It was so delicious. Nilay was a great photographer and was able to pivot to our every need. We would highly recommend her.

Mehmet was an excellent tour guide. His depth of knowledge and expertise at Ephesus exceeded our expectations. We learned so much history of the area. Mehmet spoke very good English. He also knew the best spots for photos. After visiting the excavated ruins of the city, we enjoyed an authentic Turkish lunch. We saw how carpets were made, and how silk cocoons were spun into thread. We visited a Turkish Afternoon Delights shop, St. John’s basilica and Artimus Temple. I highly recommend taking a private tour in Ephesus vs a group tour. We received a text the day before with clear instructions of the meeting place from our cruise ship. A helpful photo of the meeting spot was included. There is so much to see. Mehmet paced the tour to our liking. I would request him again.

We had a great day with Fatima. She was very knowledgeable and shared her passion for the history of the area. The ruins of Ephesus are truly amazing. We enjoyed a farm to table lunch and experienced the locals weaving rugs and toured an olive oil and pottery collective. I told her ahead of time we were not interested in purchasing a rug and they respected our wishes. They showed us several rugs but did not put the hard sell on us.

Tour shortened by tour guide

Our tour was cut short because one person asked when the tour was over because she had lunch plans and the tour guide said that if she wanted to end the tour now he would take us all back. He never asked if everyone else wanted to end early too. My family wanted to continue with the tour we paid a lot of money for, so did the couple in front of us. But the tour guide seemed very eager to end early and certainly took the opportunity to do so. Very unfortunate for those of us who wanted to continue. It should be noted that the lady who asked when the tour was over was very clear to the guide that if anyone else wanted to continue ahead she was okay with that, she has just wanted to know when the tour was over. But the guide just kept saying, “No, if you want to go back I’ll take you back”. He obviously was eager to end the tour early himself. Maybe he had lunch plans too?

We were taking Mediterranean cruise with stop at Kusadasi, Turkey. Tour was well organized. We saw Ephesus Ancient City, Terrace Houses of Ephesus, Basilica of St. John and more and learned a lot about history, customs, traditions etc. I'd like to specifically mention our tour guide - Gonca Yucel. She's professional, well educated and is a pleasure to work with. She was very patient with us answering a lot of our questions and accommodating tour according to our needs (we have some mobility issues). Still we saw A LOT!!! Our Driver was also excellent so we felt that we were in good hands. Overall tour exceeded our expectations and we consider it as a money well spent. Please note that I'm not being paid for this and usually not doing a lot of reviews.
