Great tour! tour was very fun and informattive! It was a long day so I would recommend packing snacks and water, though you will have breaks twice to get them at a gas station if you forget. I went when it was raining but it stopped on an off so not bad. Would recommend booking in March-October to get the best tour.

Very well organised, pick up and drop off in Istanbul went smoothly. We definitely scored the jackpot with our tour guide, Burak, he was amazing. His mix of knowledge and humour made the day thoroughly entertaining. It was a very moving experience and he explained it all so well. We learnt so much more and felt privileged and honoured to walk where the Anzacs did before us. Highly recommend this tour, it’s something we will never forget.

Make sure to check any messages from the activity provider so as not to miss any change of pick-up point. It was a very long but also wonderful experience providing a much greater insight into the struggles faced by both sides of the conflict.

Moving experience

Julie_T, Nov 2025
A comprehensive narrative and viewing of various different sites of landing and combat taken by the ANZACs during 1915. The tour takes in the monuments to the Turkish forces and provides insight into the difficulties endured by both sides during the fighting. Our guide was highly educated and provided in depth information about the number of men and women who ultimately died trying to execute a military attack that was poorly planned and even more poorly executed. The tour underscores the friendship between the ANZACs and the Turkish people while also again highlighting the futility of war. Beyond all this the Gallipoli peninsula is a really beautiful area and the views from the hills are spectacular.

Excellent tour, revisiting history

Narelle_R, Nov 2025
We had an amazing day revisiting history at Gallipoli. Our guide was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable and could answer any question! We were so grateful to be picked up and dropped back to our hotel. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda - or did they?

David_C, Nov 2025
We had a knowledgeable, passionate guide who vividly brought the action to life and dispelled previous falsehoods concerning the campaign. What we saw was excellent but they left out some quick wonderful sites to enhance the experience such as the metal trenches and statues that could have easily been included in under 20 minutes. Luckily, I had spotted it as we headed to lunch and walked back and did it on my own during our lunch break.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you for your kind review 😊 It is a park located in the town of Eceabat. We prefer to spend the time in the sites of the battlefield. It can be visited independently during the lucnh time Safe travels

Ironbut challenge

We loved the tour of Galipolli. Barek our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and friendly. His imitation Aussie accent and sayings were hilarious. A truly enlightening tour of this significant part of Australian, New Zealand and Turkish history. It is a very very long day. We were picked up from our hotel at 06:30am and did not return until 9:30pm. You will get a break about 2.5 hours into the journey for about 30 minutes at a service station. When you arrive in the area you are taken for lunch at a local restaurant for about 1.5 hours. This could be cut down in time to allow you to get back to Istanbul maybe 30 minutes early. Trust me after 11 hours on a mini van you will appreciate that small bit of time back. You get about 4 hours on the battlefields and visit so many historic sites. Only down side was our driver spoke absolutely no English and when we were picked up we had no idea where we were heading. We wrongly assumed we weee being shuttled to a coach for the long trip to Galipolli but after an hour resigned ourselves to the cramped hard seats of the Mercedes Sprinter. Overall a great but very very long.day.

A great experience. Highly recommend.

Tamara_L, Oct 2025
The shuttle picked us up right on time. The vehicle was very clean. The leg room isn't the best so if you have long legs I would suggest taking the aisle seat to stretch out. The front seat was also available for someone to sit in. They drive very fast with the speed limit in some sections 130km but I'm sure they were going faster. The morning rest stop was ok with the toilets clean. The rest stop on the way home wasn't the best. We were given 20 minutes so not enough time to order in the restaurant at the petrol station so most people just bought a bag of chips. As we arrived back in Istanbul at 9.30pm after a very long day this would be our dinner. The included lunch when you arrive was ok. The actual tour of Gallipoli was amazing. To get an understanding of the terrain and the challenging conditions that the soldiers fought in was staggering. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to provide information from all perspectives. He also helped one tour member find the particular grave of a soldier ao they could lay a poppy. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, its truly worth it.

Wonderful guided tour

Denis_S, Oct 2025
Great tour. There was good communication with the tour company who agreed to facilitate me by picking me up near my hotel when I informed them my hotel was too far from their listed pick up points. Transport was a Mercedes minivan with a great driver " Jack " ( who was possibly a formula 1 driver in a past life 😃 ). Out tour guide Bulant was witty , very knowledgeable about the Gallipoli campaign and an all round good guy. I managed to visit all the places, cemeteries I always wanted to and although it was a long day, we were back in Instanbul shortly after 10pm. There were 2 breaks outbound, 1 as a toilet break and breakfast at the halfway point and another near the destination for lunch and where we were assigned our tour guide. There was one break on the return journey near the halfway point. The food available at the halfway point is minimal because it's more like a service station but then again nearly all the journey is out in the countryside where towns are limited and the new road system skirts around most of the towns. Overall, a very worthwhile trip especially for history enthusiasts.

Long emotional day. The driver & tour guide were excellent. The changeover drive on return was the worst. Driving 118kmph in a 50 zone. Instead of tsking me to my hotel he put me off in an area zi didnt know on a 2 lane tramline. At 9.15 pm me 81 yo using a walker. Oh its only 100 metres down there. NO! I jade to ask after walking 200mts. Shop keeperc told me another 10p mts turn left & there was hotel another 100 mts. Not happy.

Joanna_S, Oct 2025
Our tour guide Hussain, spoke good English, and his knowledge about Gallipoli was so extensive. Long day but well worth it, come away with a deep history of the area, plus some sadness of the lives lost that day on both sides. Our driver also was excelleny.

I booked this tour for my husband (Australian) and a week later he is still talking about it :) it was the highlight of our Istanbul trip for him and he was lucky to get a guide who was right into history and has shown lots of facts unknown before. Great tour, I can definitely recommend!

The tour itself was...

Lauren_D, Sep 2025
The tour itself was fantastic — Charlie, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and the lunch at a local restaurant was a lovely touch. It is a long and hot day, so definitely bring sunblock. The only issue we had was with the driver. He was driving recklessly on the highway (around 150km) swerving through traffic, tailgating, and making many passengers feel unsafe. When we tried to raise our concerns, there was a language barrier and he didn’t understand us. We eventually had to call the tour provider, who then called him & asked him to slow down and thankfully after that he drove much more carefully.

For any Australian growing up with tales and images of Gallipoli it’s going to be an emotional experience. The place is just so recognisable. Walking along Anzac Cove through the trench’s and graveyards with an amazing guide who knows more about the story from both sides than anyone I’ve ever listened to. This was an unforgettable day.

A bucket list moment

Shaye_G, Aug 2025
If you respect the ANZAC diggers of the past, this is a must visit. I was picked up at 6 am in the morning for a 17 hour round journey from Istanbul to Carma kale in Gallipoli. It was extremely moving time, seeing the trenches, seeing the way our fallen soldiers were ambushed and the difficulties they had landing in that area via a boat. I had respect for our fallen soldiers before but after visiting this site it has made me appreciate them so much more.

Thought-provoking and unforgettable day.

Denis_M, Aug 2025
It was well organised from start to finish. We knew it would be a long day but we had a comfortable mini-coach. We had a half-hour break on the way there and back for refreshments and food in a pleasant restaurant and shop. We arrived in Enache and were allocated to a guide and minibus for the day. We're Irish and everyone else was from Australia or New Zealand- an indicator of how many from that part of the world we're killed or injured. Our guide Burak was excellent, entertaining and thoroughly informative. He told us sobering facts and he clearly knew his stuff. He interacted in a personal way with each of us on the tour and had a great store of jokes and accents. It was well worth going to see where those events took place. The tour covered the ANZAC landing sites. Cape Helles would be interesting on another trip. One fact I had not realised was that the ANZACs got ashore and then encountered huge resistance. The scene from movies of the landing parties being destroyed in the actual water happened to the Irish at V beach. The indifference to loss of life in war is always shocking even in our own day. All in all it was a thought-provoking and satisfactory day. I'm glad I went.

Somber and informative tour of Gallipoli. New connections forged.

Chandler_N, Aug 2025
We drove in from Istanbul to the Dardanelles and back in one day. We then were taken on a guided tour of various locations along Gallipoli sight where the Anzacs fought. It is a very emotional and somber experience seeing the graves of the young me who gave their lives on both sides. Our guide Hasan and driver Selçuk were both very friendly and professional. Hasan was incredibly knowledge about the sight and was happy to answer all questions for us. I was unfortunate enough to leave my water bottle at one of the beaches we stopped at. Hassan found the bottle, reached out the me personally and arranged for the bottle to be delivered back with Selcçuk to Istanbul the following day. The experience was above and beyond what I expected and was very comfortable/smooth all around. If you are an Australian or New Zealander looking to make the long pilgrimage to the battlefield or have an interest in WW1 history, I would highly recommend.

Traveled from Aotearoa NZ and this has always been on my bucket list! The tour did not disappoint, it was a long day but worth it all, great service, awesome tour guide and was made to feel welcomed. The tour guide also went out of his way to show us where the Māori memorial was and have us additional information. A very knowledgeable man. 😊 Theanms again, we enjoyed every part of the tour. 10 out of 10

Great information but a long drive

Jen_L, Aug 2025
Great information from a knowledgeable guide. A long drive, especially to get back to Italy. The transport was average, rough in the back seat. You would think they would organise music to help the four hours go more quickly. There is no guide on the bus. The food stops were traditional and good quality. Drop off and pick up from hotel very convenient. Gallipoli is a must see but very dry and barren in the summer months

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Hi There Thank you for your kind review. The duration of the tour is mentioned in the itinerary. Every one has a different taste of musiz that is why we don’t play music on the bus, not to disturb any one. Our guides are local who live near the sites and have the most updated infornation. And they never löse their enthusiasm because they don’t drive back and forth to Istanbul every day for 8 hours 😊 Safe travels

What an amazing day out....

Kathy_L, Jul 2025
What an amazing day out. It was a full day with pickup and drop off back to our hotel. The guides where extremely knowledgeable about the area and we where able to find my great uncles grave. Highly recommend this tour if you want to visit the battlefield.

Tour guide was excellent...

Teresa_V, Jun 2025
Tour guide was excellent as well as all the places visited. However, stops on the forward journey were too long. We didn’t need a 40min bathroom / morning tea break and the. Long lunch break. Dinner stop unnecessary on return journey, as everyone was tired and we all wanted to get home. A quick bathroom and snack break would have been sufficient.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you for your kind review 😊 We have a timing to follow up, the drivers need rest and arrange the legal timing of the duration of the drive each time. Safe travels
