Best Guide in Giza: Amal’s Expertise Made This Tour

We booked the Half Day Tour of the Giza Pyramids and Great Sphinx with a private guide for our family of two adults and one child, and it was one of the highlights of our Cairo stop. Our guide Amal was outstanding. She has an incredible depth of knowledge about the history of the pyramids, the Sphinx, and the surrounding necropolis, and she paced the tour well so we stayed engaged the whole time. Both Amal and our driver were remarkably patient with us, especially when we needed extra time and attention for our child.. The package included car transport, entry fees, and a camel ride, which made the morning seamless. We started early at 8:30 AM, which turned out to be a great call since it meant cooler temperatures and smaller crowds around the pyramids before the site got busy later in the day. What stood out most was how personal the experience felt. If you’re visiting Giza and want a knowledgeable, unhurried, and well-organized private tour, I highly recommend this experience, and Amal in particular.

Great tour you cannot miss

My tour with Imperial Egypt was beyond expectation. The room was clean and neat, and food was just fantastic. The sites we visited were all awesome - magnificant temples and beautiful scenes. Had a great experience with Mohammad Wasir, we traveled with our 3 year old daughter and he was very accommodating and flexible with our start time, breaks during the intense heat and food which was very important to us We would recommend this experience plus the perfume / oud stop was an added experience and he ensured we were comfortable and relaxed throughout the day! We had an amazing tour of the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx with our guide Hussam. He was very responsive to all our questions on viator as well as WhatsApp. He picked us up at the airport with the driver Mostafa before time. The van was a comfortable, AC equipped vehicle with water bottles provided which was a blessing on the hot June day! Hussam is very knowledgeable about the history of the region and his storytelling style is engaging. The tour was very well organized as mentioned on the viator itinerary. He obliged us with regular photo stops and took amazing pictures with the spectacular pyramids backdrops. The camel rides were a big highlight which all of us enjoyed. The lunch place is also really good with a delicious buffet spread and cool, refreshing drinks perfect for the summer. If you have limited time in Cairo as a tourist, this trip is perfect to get a flavor of the massive wonder of the world and know its history! It's one thing to view documentaries and videos, but nothing comes close to taking in the marvelous feat of engineering with your own eyes and feeling the giant limestone structures from ages ago. Kudos to Hussam for enriching our travels, and grateful for this opportunity.

Grateful for pyramid tour.

Our tour guide and driver were both professional and accommodating. The Pyramids and Sphinx were awe inspiring and the camel ride was truly a once and a life event. I loved the stop to learn about Egypt culture and industries such as Parfums, essential oils and jewelry making specific to Egypt. When I travel, I embrace the attributes of the particular culture that I am Visiting and never project my United States experience onto my travel experiences. Our guide Mina was excellent — good with time management, keeping the group connected, and making the experience enjoyable overall. He is a very social, friendly, and kind person. The timeline did feel rushed. Expect wake-up calls as early as 4:00 AM. Budget accordingly: as of June 2026, admission fees run about 4,900 EGP, plus $10 USD/day for crew tips, plus a separate tip for your guide if desired. A few annoyances: some stops turned into sales pitches at local shops. On the ship, water is 120 LE per 1.5L bottle, laundry is expensive, and you’ll get approached onboard and pestered to buy massages and souvenirs. The food is okay, but isn’t anything impressive. Overall it was a great experience, just go in with realistic expectations.

Basem our guide was great. He was informative and delightful to speak to and listen to. The driver was super amazing and the car was spacious and well airconditioned! The museum is so big that I recommend booking a 2 day tour to be able to see it all. Do ask for Basem because you won't regret it.... he made us feel like we where in the past.

The best trip i've ever been on

the 1hr 15 min flight from hurgada was pretty smooth , we were met right outside the arrivals by the tour guides and we were lucky enough to get Mr Falcon. This guy had a wealth of knowledge about egypt and let us know exactly what was going on and when. The pittas we had after the pyramids were amazing, an absolute highlight. The restaurant was good, Museum is stunning and worth the money alone. We paid the extra £10 for the nile sunset boat ride which was a good experience and went on for alot longer than we thought. all in all a fantastic trip don't waste your money on the big holiday company trips as these are the same price but have a 6-7 hour bus ride each direction. unless you enjoy a 4 am start to your day

Wonderful Experience

The tour was excellent. Very informative. Ibrahim was a kind, passionate, and knowledgeable guide. He was happy to answer questions about Egyptian history and give recommendations for other activities outside of the tour. The driver was very good, the car was clean and driving was smooth. The water was a nice touch and the itinerary was very flexible - I would ask to spend more time in Saqarra if I go again, it was my favourite part of the tour. I would book this again 100% and highly recommend it.
