The tour moves along in a timely manner. I don’t know why anyone would try to do this on their own. Our tour guide did a great job keeping us all together as it was a crowded Sunday afternoon. Kathryn was a very good tour guide. Blue eyed blonde hair Venetian!

Our tour guide was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited (Doges Palace and St. Marks Basilica). She also shared interesting info about the painters who created many of the art on the walls and ceilings, and about the materials and processes used in the building and creation of both places.

St Marks Basilica an Doges Palace experience
Our guide was wonderful! We found him to be very informative and charismatic. So much history about the Venetian people - involving both religion, political hierarchy, art and architecture. He has lived in Venice all his life and was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged. Thank you again :) Nancy & Doug

Venice is no ordinary place. Crisscrossed by canals and myriad alleyways, this lagoon city has many must-see sights, from the Doge’s Palace to the Grand Canal, from plates of cicchetti to gondola boats. With so many visitors who come to see them, you can easily get caught up in the crowds. However, fear not because there are Venice tours that help you bypass the lines, sightsee responsibly, and experience the beauty of the city, too. Guided walking tours give the history behind the photo points, skip-the-line tours cut waiting times at popular sites, and home-cooking classes offer a taste of the local culture.
