Since 2019, we are the first to offer Vernazza an experience dedicated to preparing pesto in the mortar, combining cooking, territory, conviviality, and tasting. You will learn to prepare pesto by hand, using selected ingredients. The experience takes place in a typical Cinque Terre cellar, with stone and wood, reminiscent of the atmosphere of old Vernazza. 12:30 - PESTO CLASS We will start with wine, focaccia, cheeses, and extra virgin olive oils. You will prepare your pesto in the mortar while tasting a second wine. The pesto will then be used to dress the gnocchi which you will eat with a third wine. We will conclude with limoncello and chocolate. 3:00 PM or 5:30 PM – PESTO SNACK CLASS After a taste of wine, you will prepare the pesto in the mortar while tasting a second wine. Departing from Manarola, while enjoying a welcome drink, you will sail through the entire Cinque Terre coast, to Punta Montenero which closes the southeast side of the wonderful Cinque Terre National Park. You will also have the chance to swim near the coast, diving into the clear waters of the Ligurian Sea. Once everyone is back on the boat, we will head to Punta Mesco, the most northwestern point of the National Park. From there you can admire the fascinating landscape of lights and colours and - if you are lucky enough - you will see the dolphins playing on the surface of the sea. A wonderful sea side excursion!

This was a great experience that was made even more special by our driver/tour guide, Ricardo! His professionalism knowledge, and humor were greatly appreciated. When I asked about a great Florence restaurant recommendation he readily suggested the restaurant he would take his own family to. This was a highly rated Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant that would have been impossible to get a prime time reservation slot. But he helped to make that happen. On the Cinque Terre side he helped us strategize to get our best experience possible. And the Five Lands did not disappoint. From the fresh sea food and service, to the wonderful views. Yummy pesto

Fun activity to do with family. I make pesto at home but still learned alot about how it is made in the region and came away with some hints that I will use. Local wine and cheese was also nice addition to class. Would recommend class to anyone wanting to know more about region. You also do not have to know anything about cooking to have fun in the class.

Don't miss this beautiful beach area.

Beautiful! Don't miss seeing this. It was much warmer than we expected. A good way to get a taste of the area. Not really enough free time to change into and out of swimwear for a swim in the ocean. Sandros our tour guide is amazing & professional. He's very experienced at managing his tour. He always made us feel extra special and cared for. No man left behind.

Our tour was amazing!...

Our tour was amazing! David did a beautiful job at navigating between each stop and making sure we were all informed and taken care of. He gave us little tidbits about each location, but also allowed us time to explore on our own, and even gave us a special experience by calling ahead for a lunch reservation and had cold prosecco waiting in the car after a difficult hike up a massive hill! There were 6 people in our tour. There is a bit of walking needed in this tour, and lots of stairs, so just be informed about that if you have mobility concerns. Overall an absolutely lovely day!

Anniversary sunset boat tour in cinque terre

We had an amazing time on the sunset boat tour through Cinque Terre! We cruised past all of the beautiful villages as the sun was setting, making for an absolutely gorgeous ride. Our captain and tour guide were both knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience even better. We enjoyed some beer and wine, took in the incredible views, and had a great time with the group. Best it could be under weather circumstances

Our guide Loradana did everything in her power to get us through the day with the horrific weather. Unfortunately we didn’t see much because if an orange alert but I must say she was amazing. We will definitely be back and will book this excursion. Hopefully we can have her again!

relaxing and refreshing with great views

One of the best things I’ve done on this trip! Highly recommend if you like being in/on the water!! A super chill, relaxing boat trip to see all 5 cities from sea. Captain was a local and gave good history. Nice, long refreshing swim. Also snorkel but not much fish to see. Local snacks, focaccia… (not the usual bag if chips you get in US for a snack). So relaxing and refreshing with great views. Calm seas that day. Would do again!! Matt 1&2 were great!! Pickup at main harbor though don’t have a billboard sign. Look for blue boat. They respond to texts if lost/confused.

Visiting Cinque Terre was truly a wonderful experience. Besides all the lovely towns we got to visit we had the nicest and caring tour guide with Veronica. It became a private tour for the 4 of us since the other people canceled. She gave us options on what our preferences were on train versus ferry or both? My husband had some issues in walking a lot and it was hot. She always made sure we could find comfortable places in the shade to rest up. Veronica was also very knowledgeable on all the places we visited. I highly recommend Viator as a tour company and especially recommend Veronica to add to thexperience.

This was one of our favorite nights during our trip to Italy! The crew were friendly and they made the most delicious dinner with several courses including dessert and drinks. Best Way to Spend the Evening in 5terre!

Incredible views you can only see from the water. It was a long tour, but no surprises and it was worth the money. The boat wasn’t overcrowded, there was a nice selection of beverages, and pro tip: when you get the option to go swimming in the gorgeous turquoise water… say yes!
