Great day trip from Munich

Great itinerary. It covered all the important places in Salsburg. It was nice that we were given extra time to explore the area on our own. Our tour guide Susanne was a great historian. She explained each location and its importance as we arrived at each location. The round-trip train ride was included in the cost of the tour. She made sure all tour participants were all accounted for. I would recommend this tour to friends and family.

This is a very good and informative tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He orchestrated our travel there and back seemlessly! There is a lot of walking, so be prepared. Finding out this was a work camp and not a death camp was a bit of a relief for me but still VERY sobering.

This day was literally the best of all the tours we’ve taken on the trip. The beauty of the nature and the castles was just overwhelming. The drive there itself was a work of art. Dimitri was an amazing guide. He was so knowledgeable and could answer any question. He was also very fun. I absolutely loved this tour. Anyone who has trouble walking or doing stairs, should be warned. There was a lot of walking and more stairs than I even imagined. We did over 15,000 steps today and we were in the bus a total of 4.5 hours.

We recommend doing the documentation center before lunch as in our case we spent so much time there that we didn’t have time for lunch. This was our choice and we do not regret it! We had a great time on this tour! While it seems like it’ll be long, every second is 100% worth it. Our guide, Johnny, was very helpful, kind, and made the time we spent on the bus pass by quickly. The bus is very nice and the smaller group size is a huge benefit. Cannot recommend this enough.

Hannah was a brilliant tour guide!

I had such a great experience on Berlin’s Best Walking Tour with Hannah. She was funny, quirky, and incredibly knowledgeable, and she really brought the history to life in a way that felt engaging rather than academic. The walk itself was very manageable, and I appreciated that there were a few opportunities to sit along the way. Hannah also did a wonderful job drawing thoughtful connections between the history we were learning and broader political patterns, including some echoes of what is happening in the U.S. and elsewhere today. I thought she handled that especially well — insightful and thought-provoking without ever being overbearing or making the tour feel partisan. What impressed me most was the depth of her knowledge. Whenever someone asked a question, she had a thoughtful, substantive answer and clearly knew the material far beyond a memorized script. Highly recommend the tour, and especially Hannah.

I enjoyed it. There was a lot of walking, but our guide, Marleen, prepared us for it. Wait for the bus and take it if you are not in decent shape. The uphill "walk" to Mary Bridge is significant. Wish you could take pictures inside the two sites (Linderhof Palace and Neuschwanstein) we went, but that was no allowed. Lots of outside pictures and the.scenery is beautiful.

Pork knuckle sandwich changed my life!

Bernie was a wonderful guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun. We saw pubs we would have never found on our own. There were about 10 people in our small group. We got to know the other travelers and had a great time. We had so much beer on this tour, at one point my husband and I tapped out. The beer just kept coming. As for food, we had a few things we tried. The best was the pork knuckle sandwich at the end. Best thing I had while in Munich!

Excellent day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle! The castle was spectacular, and the scenery was beautiful. The free time was perfect for exploring, browsing the local shops, and taking in the atmosphere at our own pace. Leon was a fabulous guide, friendly, knowledgeable, and well organised. He made the day enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended!
