Excellent tour. The bus ride is a little long but Jake made it very informative and entertaining. The castle and surrounding area is a beautiful. I did not read thoroughly and you do have to pay additionally to get in the castle. Also if you try the walk, its more strenuous than you'd think haha.

King Ludwig II and his dream homes

Maria, our guide, was probably the sweetest guide we've ever had. She was very knowledgeable and took great care of us. The Linderhof Palace was stunning and the Neuschwanstein Castle magnificent even though it was never finished. The story of King Ludwig II of Bavaria was interesting and a bit sad.

A great walk through history.

This was a wonderful, short, walk through some amazing sites in the city of Berlin. We would definitely recommend it as an excellent introduction to Berlin’s World War II and Cold War history. Our guide, Maria, was outstanding. Although we had about 25 people in our group, we all felt included and valued. She answered questions and was extremely knowledgeable. She shared her knowledge of history in a very accessible way.

Loved the Premier experience

I loved this small group Premier experience on a spacious luxury bus! Lots of legroom for everyone and single seats on one side for solo travelers like me. Deyse, our guide was great, as was our driver, Andreas! Our group of 27 was always pleasant and showed up on time as we put in our 14,000 steps to see Neuschwannstein castle, Oberammergau and Linderhof Palace. I also enjoyed the patio seating in one of the village restaurants for lunch and a cold beer after coming down the hill from the castle. Great experience overall.

The tour is very well...

The tour is very well organized. My tour guide Maxine is it really knowledgeable. She showed us quite a few The Sound of Music scenes as we traveled along the city, including one mistake where Maria and children were buying fruits in the market that I would have never known. I also learned about the stumbling rocks project for the first time and was really moved by it. Maxine was also so kind that she offered us one extra hour in Salzburg that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Exhausting but worth it

Trip is exhausting, either have the euros for the shuttle or be ready to walk uphill for 45 minutes! The castles are beautiful and worth the effort but be ready. After lunch we started the uphill trek and made it up. On the way out we were short on time to get to the bus so you definitely have to get moving on the way down if you're going to visit gift shops. Tour guide Michelle (English tour) was really good. She was very patient with questions and made sure you knew where the bus would be and which one to look for.

Excellently planned day trip!

I really appreciated how this day trip was planned! We got snacks and beverages after every stop. And before we stopped at Neuschwanstein we got a detailed paper map of the area. I didn't feel rushed at all. Franziska was our main guide and she was great in my opinion. She answered my questions and knew a lot about German history. My favourite part was Neuschwanstein castle. I decided to take a horse carriage ride up to the parking lot. It cost me 8 euro in cash and was worth it. The Venus Grotto and Linderhof castle were also very nice!

Somber reflection on terrible history

This was a somber experience but a period of history that needs to be remembered, hopefully never to happen again. Our tour guide Mark did an excellent job getting us there, telling the history and getting us back. It does involve a train and bus ride going and leaving.

Historical and informative. Excellent Guide!

The trip is sad due to coverage of one of the darkest chapters in history. But our guide Cansel did a fantastic job of explaining the historical context and sharing in a story like fashion. She is a very informed and intelligent guide. She and the driver Joe deserve 5 stars and nothing less. Strongly recommend this tour to understand the history and what sacrifices our forefathers have made.

Wonderful tour!

This was a wonderful tour of Berlin. Our tour guide was younger and really seemed to be connected to the city. He knew so much of how the city ticks and have us some information that assisted the remainder of our trip. We learned a ton about the history of the city and saw a ton of wonderful sites. Would highly recommend. My only criticism is that the tour is bilingual. So half of the time we just looked around as we couldn't understand what they were saying. The tour guide was truly wonderful and engaging though.

Book the trip!

This trip far exceeded our expectations. First time traveling internationally with family. A group of 6 adults and 6 kids, and we had the best day. Our tour guide, Tyler, was so kind and knowledgeable and gave us great tips for things to check out as we opted to not tour inside the castle. The kids LOVED the alpine coaster and the lunch at the brewery was well executed and a delicious meal. This was well worth the money!

I think doing a food tour...

I think doing a food tour is one of the better ways to experience an unknown city. We have made it a point to do such a tour on the first/second day of arrival to a new place and have always had great experiences, including this one. They allow a great introduction to the city, stress-free trying of new/different foods and we generally come away with helpful recommendations for things to do around the city. Our guide for the Munich tour was Adam Joachim and we enjoyed our time with him. He was knowledgeable, easy to chat with and the tour never felt rushed. I would recommend doing this food tour.
