Make sure you walk up to Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge). The sweeping panorama of the castle suspended over the gorge is unreal and makes for the perfect photo. Hannah was a brilliant tour guide!

I had such a great experience on Berlin’s Best Walking Tour with Hannah. She was funny, quirky, and incredibly knowledgeable, and she really brought the history to life in a way that felt engaging rather than academic. The walk itself was very manageable, and I appreciated that there were a few opportunities to sit along the way. Hannah also did a wonderful job drawing thoughtful connections between the history we were learning and broader political patterns, including some echoes of what is happening in the U.S. and elsewhere today. I thought she handled that especially well — insightful and thought-provoking without ever being overbearing or making the tour feel partisan. What impressed me most was the depth of her knowledge. Whenever someone asked a question, she had a thoughtful, substantive answer and clearly knew the material far beyond a memorized script. Highly recommend the tour, and especially Hannah.

Faison did a superb job of explaining and engaging the participants. He truly cares about providing the history and information to us. The trip was split up between the sites and we were given enough time at each site. You must be physical able to walk up approximately 5 flights of stairs and walk down a semi steep incline.

Never forget

This experience had a profound effect on me because I have been blessed to meet 3 holocaust survivors in my lifetime. They all said to me "never forget". I can't even imagine the horror at the hands of evil people. Our English speaking tour guide Michael was the best with interactive questions for members of the tour. My only suggestion would be a little extra time for a final bathroom stop and buying a memento in the gift shop.
