This unique Alaskan experience is the only one of its kind offered in the Anchorage area.  Get out and enjoy the beauty of Alaska!  On a clear day we'll see as many as four mountain ranges in Southcentral Alaska, We'll spend our time on a small frozen lake in the Anchorage area.  Using the latest electric ice auger, guests can help drill through anywhere between 6 inches to 3 feet thick ice.  At times we'll see fish swimming below, either while looking through an 8-inch hole in the ice, or using technology to watch fish move below on sonar images on a depth finder.  At times we may fish with jigs or spoons, at other times, hooks, bait and a bobber.  We'll often see moose in the woods around town or at the edge of the lake.  Bald eagles often watch from the trees nearby, looking for a free meal.  Relax and enjoy the fishing, we'll take care of all the messy work and heavy lifting - except perhaps lifting the heaviest fish of the day from the water!

Once we arrive, retired sled dogs greet you and dogs in their prime take you on Alaska’s winter trails, each having a special place on our team. After you’re outfitted for winter, we’ll share some tales from the trail around the campfire before we introduce you to the whole team, many have competed in the Iditarod multiple times. We invite you to be part of the adventure on one of our dog sled tours, beginning with giving the dogs love and attention before we head out on the trail. Once we’re on the trail, you can ride in a custom-made tour sled, or you can help your guide drive the sled!

This ride isn't a set tail or predetermined route. Your guide will pick the route, choosing from hundreds of miles of available trails. We'll ride to the group's comfort level regarding speed and terrain difficulty. We'll start by getting everyone fitted with a helmet and make sure your clothing and gear will keep you safe and comfortable while we're out. Next, your guide will complete orientation to your snowmobile (snowmachine) and make sure everyone is comfortable with the controls and features necessary to safely operate your machine and enjoy your ride. Your ride may cover a variety of terrain, from frozen lakes, open fields, tundra, and forested trails, mostly groomed to provide an even, safe riding surface. We often see wildlife such as moose, coyote, fox, bald and golden eagles, and possibly others!
