A great way to wrap up our Alaskan vacation. The staff, the location, and most importantly, the Alaskan Huskies, were so kind & welcoming. We learned a lot too and highly recommend this tour!

Wow! Talk about an interactive experience! The owner came out and explained so much about dog sledding. Care & exercise of the dogs, training, the Iditarod. THEN ... we went on a REAL ride with the workers ... NOT in an ATV ... but a sled. Exciting. The dogs LOVED pulling us! Then we finished by holding the puppies. PUPPIES! Thank you, Dane especially.

This was our very first time trying anything like dog sledding, and it completely exceeded our expectations! From start to finish, the tour was thoughtfully led and full of fun. Our guides, Casey and Jarod, were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout. The dog sledding itself was such a thrill, but getting to spend time with the dogs—especially the puppies—was easily one of the highlights of the day. You can really tell how well cared for and loved the dogs are. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon and an experience we won’t forget. Highly recommend to anyone visiting—whether you’re a first-timer like us or just looking for a unique adventure!

Dog sledding in the summer.

Emily_D, July 2026
This experience was great. We learned about dog sledding, the Iditarod, and the dogs. After meeting the dogs, we went on a 2+ mile sledding experience (in a wheeled wagon bc there isn't any snow in the summer) and then had the chance to cuddle with some of the young puppies. A marvelous experience

Great Time!

This excursion was so much fun! It was neat to interact with the dogs and puppies! The ride itself was pretty bumpy and we went when it was raining outside so I got a little muddy sitting in the front of the cart. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about the Iditarod!

This is well worth the ride north of anchorage. It is authentic Iditarod experience between the staff, the dogs and the equipment. The ride with the mushers was exhilarating. Loved that the dogs are so friendly and being able to pet all of them including new puppies.

Hot dog!!

We had the best time and most fun snuggling the puppies! The dogs are so well behaved and trained. The guides and the family living there take such good care of the dogs and guests.

Amazing! My favorite excursion in Alaska!

When in Alaska, you do Alaska things!

An amazing opportunity to get a look into the life of the Iditarod world. The operation is a family and you can feel the passion from the mushers who care and train the dogs from puppies to retirement. The summer ride is fun, making you wish there was snow on the ground... a great experience.

Very friendly staff and very informative about sled dogs and Idatrod. My kids loved the sled dog ride through the woods. Our guide had our kids participate in a learning session about the sleds, which was very nice. Staff took pictures of our group with the dogs and at another location. Clean bathroom facilities. Would 100% recommend!

Fun

Very fun and informative! It was great getting to meet dogs and swing them pull the summer sleds. We also got to see puppies.

A Memorable First-Time Dog Sledding Experience!

Tail wagging good time!

Genee_M, July 2025
What an amazing experience! We were early for our tour as we were driving through the area on our way to Denali and the entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Dane, our guide got us started promptly at 3:00. We learned about the sport of dog sledding and a brief history of their program then went out to meet the dogs! So many barking, tail wagging, sweet pups! We spent a few minutes meeting and greeting and then got to take a ride in the summer sleds! We stopped a few times for pictures and ear scratching! The guides were spectacular in sharing more about the property and the dogs while we were in the sleds. After we got back and loved on the pups for a great ride, we got to meet the puppies! BEST MOMENT EVER!! We have taken many Viator tours over the last few years and this was by far the best!

Dog sledding, snow optional!

lynn_m, July 2025
This dog sledding experience hit all the key things that we look for in what we consider a good use of our time and money. It was fun, educational, and memorable. We were provided a good overview of the sport as it has evolved for running the Iditarod race versus traditional cargo hauling that we usually think of. After the introduction and background we meet the dogs which was a very pleasant experience. Typically I would expect this to be over the top chaos but the dogs were very well behaved and not at all overly aggressive. I think it speaks to the care, love, and attention they all receive from birth from their mushers. Riding in the sled was of course the highlight and gives you a good idea of how excited the dogs are to work as well as the draw of this unique sport.

10 plus stars!!

Shealee_F, Sept 2024
Wow I would give 10 stars if I could! I definitely recommend coming here if your looking for a great sled dog experience. All the dogs were super friendly! We learned so much about sled dog racing and had an amazing time on the trail! Kacey was our guide and she did amazing, she introduced us to the team, talked about race stories and answered all our questions! Matthew definitely cares about his dogs which meant so much to us to know these dogs are well loved! I will be coming back for sure next year!!!!

Perfect end to Alaskan experience!

Lynda_H, July 2024
Loved talking to people who actually compete in Iditarod and other races. Enjoyed the real sled feel other than some groups who seem to use ATV’s? And of course enjoyed visiting the dogs and puppies. Such an awesome tour! Pack waterproof gear so you can really enjoy!

An Experience of a lifetime
