What are people saying about Tokyo

Fun, yummy taste of japan
Our tour guide Aiko was wonderful! She knew all f the good places to eat and was old us a little about the cuisine then we could decide whether or not we wanted to purchase and eat it. It was perfect this way as some in our group did not want to try certain things that others were excited to say that they tried it. She connected with everyone in our group and nobody felt left

Brilliant way to experience the market
Really perfect way to try so many different foods at top outlets at the market, as well as to learn a bit about the history of Tokyo. Nicolas was an excellent, super helpful and very knowledgeable guide! We got so much more out of this guided tour than we would have otherwise. A definite highlight of our Tokyo trip.

Marvelous host and eating experience!
Takashi was amazing! Near perfect English for never having visited an English speaking country. Sincerely interested in a positive experience. Knowledgeable about the area and food. Helpful in all the right ways. Enjoy the experience, you can’t go wrong.

Afternoon in Asakusa with Shun
We spent the afternoon in Asakusa with Shun, visiting the temple, eating local delicacies, and seeing the area. We extended in order to see the cherry blossoms in Shinjuku Park. Amazing. He is such a warm, kind person, interested in sharing the culture of his city and country.
We enjoyed every moment!

Excellent 1st Tour of Tokyo
Our tour was one of the best we have ever experienced. We had the challenge to get to the meeting point because of the marathon and the streets were detoured or closed. Our guide patiently sorted it out so that we could meet her to keep the tour. Kanon is a very warm & considerate person. She is kind and attentive and we can tell she demonstrated a care for giving us a great tour. She captured all the most important information we should be aware of, the history and the culture of the country. Kanon speaks perfect English having lived in England. She is also learning a few other languages. We learned so much about very important sites, Meiji Shrine and Senso-ji in Asakusa, pointing out the most important things to notice and explained the traditions. We did unique tastings at Tsukiji, the Fish Market and Nakamise Street, the shopping street of snack foods and souvenirs at Asakusa. We visited 3 very distinct neighborhoods which we found were not on other walking tours in Tokyo probably because of the challenges to maneuvering around the city. Kanon was well planned and led us with ease on this tour. We had many questions for recommendations of where to eat and what to see for the rest of our time in Tokyo. Kanon sent us the follow-up texts with all the info. She is truly one of the best tour guides we have ever met and truly enjoyed her lovely self!

Foodie Fun in Shinjuku!
We were in Tokyo in Shibuya and decided at the last minute to do this food tour and it was one of the best decisions we made on our vacation. Blake was our tour guide and he was very intuitive and friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the foods that we ate. We started off at a place where we had three courses and drink drinks and then we were off to another place where we had some more samplings and learned about the history of the Neighbourhood and it’s people I would highly recommend this food tour. You will not regret it.

Lovely, personalized experience! I cannot recommend more highly!
What a lovely morning with Elly!
We are seasoned market travelers and food lovers and wanted a guide for our first market trip in Japan. Elly expertly guided us through the market, leading us to the best stalls where we sampled mochi, tamago, king crab, sashimi, whale (!!), and waygu!
I love to cook and appreciated Elly's recommendation for seaweed and bonito stalls for ingredients to bring home, and she recommended some great snacks to bring home!
A delightful surprise was the shrine to start our day. Elly taught us the etiquette of shrines and gave us a delightful history lesson.
I cannot recommend this tour enough!

Highly recommend to anyone going to Tsukiji Market
Our tour with Yayoi was one of the highlights of our trip! We tried so many food options we would've never found without her, and her recommendations were top tier. The food was tasty, fresh, and a great intro to the local cuisine. We skipped breakfast which was a good call because we left with our tummies full. We even took home some Japanese snacks based on Yayoi's recommendations to gift to loved ones. She was very knowledgeable and shared much appreciated historical context with us. I especially appreciated our visit to Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple. With so many tourist traps and viral spots around, having her as our tour guide was a game changer.

Kaori was the consummate...
Kaori was the consummate host and a wealth of knowledge. First, she's a former educator who knows how to interact with and really engage kids. She was thoughtful, kind, and patient. She also was flexible and flagged stores and experiences that she thought our kiddos would enjoy. Second, she shared a lot of tips and insights into Tokyo and Japanese culture. We loved hanging out with her for the afternoon-and our kids rated this adventure as one of their favorites! Thank you Kaori!!!!!

Solo, but never alone
I went alone and was half expecting to feel awkward, but instead met travelers and locals fast. People say "most bars in Golden Gai are filled with foreigners and there’s always someone interesting to talk to" and that was totally us. So easy to chat once you're in.

Enjoyable Sushi Class
A memorable and enjoyable sushi preparation lesson, very professionally led by delightful teachers. An excellent cookery studio set back from the main roads in a quiet residential area, that catered ideally for a small group of 8 participants. The tuition was expertly led in a charming manner, the facilities and equipment first rate and the final dishes that we created were really good and tasted delicious! Moreover, it was a fun activity. Thoroughly recommended as we really enjoyed it.

Fun tour in a less touristy area
We had our tour on a Sunday with Makayla. It turned out to be just my daughter and I. This tour was in a less touristy area. All the food we tried were delicious and tasty. We enjoyed learning about the area and talking to Makayla. Highly recommended!
