Perfect way to start the day! This tour was the perfect blend of experiences here in Tokyo. Our tour guide, Yuki, was fantastic! From sharing personal insights about Japanese culture and tradition at the Meiji Shrine (which was calm and peaceful thanks to the early start) to pointing out delicious treats in the fun chaos of the Tsukiji Fish Market, Yuki treated my wife and I like two friends he was showing around the city. Make sure you have a loaded Suica card as we hopped on trains to zip around the city. Even that helped us feel like locals! Also, bring cash as some of the food stalls were cash only. We ended the tour at Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa with so many options for lunch. It was just the right length or tour for our needs so it felt like it was tailored for us. Can’t recommend this tour and Yuki enough!

Our tour guide was pretty inexperienced and not too knowledgeable. One of the members of the tour group knew more about the different sites than our guide. Very nice young man, but disappointing.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your honest feedback.
We are sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. While all of our guides go through training, we understand that experience level and guiding style can affect how the tour is perceived, and we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
At the same time, we’re glad to hear that you found the guide to be kind and respectful. We will continue working on improving both knowledge delivery and overall guiding quality to ensure a more satisfying experience for all guests.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

Guide, Ericka, was pleasant but did not provide much background information about sites. We felt we could have learned just as much on our own.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you very much for your feedback.
We’re glad to hear that you found Ericka pleasant, and we appreciate your honest comments.
We understand that having deeper background information and context is an important part of the tour experience.
We will continue working with our guides to further strengthen the delivery of historical context, local insights, and storytelling so that the experience offers more value than exploring independently.

Our tour was one of the best we have ever experienced. We had the challenge to get to the meeting point because of the marathon and the streets were detoured or closed. Our guide patiently sorted it out so that we could meet her to keep the tour. Kanon is a very warm & considerate person. She is kind and attentive and we can tell she demonstrated a care for giving us a great tour. She captured all the most important information we should be aware of, the history and the culture of the country. Kanon speaks perfect English having lived in England. She is also learning a few other languages. We learned so much about very important sites, Meiji Shrine and Senso-ji in Asakusa, pointing out the most important things to notice and explained the traditions. We did unique tastings at Tsukiji, the Fish Market and Nakamise Street, the shopping street of snack foods and souvenirs at Asakusa. We visited 3 very distinct neighborhoods which we found were not on other walking tours in Tokyo probably because of the challenges to maneuvering around the city. Kanon was well planned and led us with ease on this tour. We had many questions for recommendations of where to eat and what to see for the rest of our time in Tokyo. Kanon sent us the follow-up texts with all the info. She is truly one of the best tour guides we have ever met and truly enjoyed her lovely self!

Our guide was Shoma. He was wonderful, very patient as we were slow walkers. He also was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also took Jim's time and did extra stops for food and to use the restroom. Would 100% book this tour and tour guide again! We were a large group with two people in their 70s and two young kids 6 and under

Teru was the best tour guide while we were in Tokyo! He explained the origins and details to all of the temples and destinations we visited. We highly recommend Teru if you are interested in venturing outside the busyness of Tokyo!

We booked this small, private tour because we had just 48 hours in Tokyo and needed to maximize every minute. We are so glad we did!
From the moment we met our guide, he was fun, professional, and made us feel right at ease. We learned so much—incredible details and history we would have completely missed on our own. He was a master navigator, allowing us to quickly move through the complex subway system, sample the best food stalls, and even tackle our shopping wish list with his watchful eye and guidance.
The real testament to his knowledge and dedication was that strangers stopped us in the street after overhearing him speak, asking where they could book him!
This is a small business competing against the large tour operators, and they are truly invested and care so much about your experience. Go for them for sure; they are the gold standard for an immersive, efficient, and unforgettable time in Tokyo. Highly recommend!

Yosuke was a delightful tour guide and companion on this varied tour. He shared history, philosophy, and customs that helped us understand our site visits.
The tour was well paced and flexible, with breaks scheduled and as needed.
The stops in the market were unique food items, and Yosuke searched out the furikake I requested.
I highly recommend this tour, as an excellent - and tasty - introduction to Tokyo.
