Bring a light jacket or sweater . Be independent and self sufficient because there is a bit of a communication and cultural barrier / gap for westerners . Overall I had a great time but unless you’re really into cars you may be slightly underwhelmed.
Response from Host, Oct 2026
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback! We are glad to hear you overall had a great time. We appreciate your valuable advice regarding preparation and setting expectations for non-enthusiasts. We constantly strive to make JDM culture welcoming and engaging for everyone, and your input helps us improve the experience for all guests. We hope to welcome you back again!
This experience was the beginning of a dream come true. As someone who’s been obsessed with cars for a lifetime, it was incredible to be surrounded by so many cars and enthusiasts “in their natural habitat “. Meet up was well organized, and the leader of the tour did a great job reaching out to coordinate. Getting to ride in a convoy to the actual car meet was a great way to see Tokyo from a different perspective. Despite it raining the entire night, I had a great time learning about cars that have never made it to the US, and the guide was happy to walk me around and share his own knowledge and passion. There were plenty of amazing photo opportunities and the owner captured some great shots of me with the cars. I highly recommend this as an introduction to JDM culture in Tokyo.
Response from Host, Oct 2026
Thank you for this incredible review! Hearing that this tour helped fulfill a lifelong dream means the world to us. We're thrilled that you enjoyed the convoy drive, the Tokyo night views, and connecting over JDM culture despite the rain. Sharing our passion and capturing great memories for our guests is what we love most. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to see you again!

Great experience for 19 year old. Host was communicative, punctual and provided a great tour. My son really enjoyed it.

The crew that drove us around were very welcoming & approachable from the moment we showed up. We drove through long tunnels & over beautiful bridges @ what felt like a high speed movie moment al and feeling safe & secure. They followed several cars in the crew that took the lead as a lead driver & as the drag ( last car) we rallied & two car meets to view a plethora of beautiful old & new cars. Some very high end & many “toys” that were tweaked to performance perfection. It was a blessing to see the car culture in Japan with the clothing styles and the interesting characters from old to young enjoying the lifestyle. It was a 4 hr journey with many stops in between for coffee, food & buying merch. Cool thing to do in Japan for my family & especially my 14 year old.

Tokyo Drift was an amazing experience. I did come out the airport a little late so Sam my tour guide was able to have someone wait for me so I can still experience this for my birthday. The people are really nice. I was able to see beautiful foreign cars overall a great experience. I also did this solo. I felt safe throughout the entire experience.
Response from Host, Sep 2026

Ensuring our guests feel safe, welcomed, and well taken care of—especially solo travelers—is always our top priority. I can’t speak to the experience as it was pouring rain due to the typhoon and we spent entire time sheltering from the storm. It was not great driving in the torrential rain. I’m sure if weather was good it would have been fine but this event should have been canceled or rescheduled. I feel like I threw away over $600!
Response from Host, Sep 2026
We’re sorry the rain affected your experience, but important context is missing from this review. Your group chose to participate and completed the tour despite the weather. We provided complimentary upgrades so your group could experience the Skyline R34, Subaru WRX STI and Evo X, and we also provided a free hotel drop-off.
After completing the experience, a full refund was requested, which we declined because the tour and services had been provided.
We completely understand that rain can make a car-meet experience less enjoyable, but weather is beyond our control. We always try to give our guests the best possible experience, which is exactly why we provided the additional vehicles and complimentary hotel transportation.
We respect every guest’s right to leave feedback, but we also believe future guests deserve the full context surrounding the experience.
Had a great time. We got lucky as there where quite a few cars at the event, guides where great and a nice drive in their evo plus another I cant remember. Definitely give it a go but think reality not movie car meet and you will have a good time

If you are car enthusiast this is for you. This isn't about racing or drifting, this is about car culture. Seeing the Japanese car scene is amazing. The diversity of cars is very wide.
My guide was Sam and we got to ride in his 2013 WRX STI. Love the car ! He was super friendly and spoke English perfectly so conversation was smooth and easy. He took us on a beautiful scenic route across the Tokyo bridge to the car meet spot.
The ride alone is awesome, and really the car meet is the icing on the cake.
Again, this is for those who love car culture and the essence of JDM, because to experience it not just in a random country, but in Japan where so many legendary cars were born, is a dream come true.
Highly recommend this and Sam will be a great guide you can have.
I got so many videos and pictures of the crusie and the meet including afterwards on the way home we took photos of the cars in front of the Tokyo skytree.
A memorable time for sure !
Book this week you get to Tokyo because it will be the highlight of your trip !

The experience began with a drive through the elevated tokyo highways, bridges and tunnels until we eventually arrived at the car meet. During the drive our guide informed us of many car related facts and information. We learned about his car that we were driving in, which was a vintage modded Nissan that he uses in drift events with was a cool addition. At the car show, I was able to photograph many cool cars which was very fun. The driving around was really fun too, we were practically racing the other cars in the tour which was very cool. After the we went to a car themed shop and mechanic. There was almost an infinite amount of car memorabilia which was very interesting. However, my favorite part of the tour was taking photos in front of the Tokyo tower with the car. Even though it was raining around this time in the tour, our amazing guide was able to still get us those amazing photos. The tour was very special either way, but our guide made the experience just that much better and it’s what made me want to leave this review! Such a cool experience!

Four people that are average weight is max, so no one is separated.
Search for landmarks they give, actual address can be tricky to find through the surrounding buildings.
